Really feel part of the community at Sheffield, and proud to be part of it. Everyone is supportive and happy to help, and the variety of clubs and societies is incredible.
My time as a student at the University of Sheffield has been incredibly positive. The academic environment is both challenging and supportive, providing countless opportunities for growth and learning. The faculty are knowledgeable and always willing to offer guidance, which has greatly enhanced my studies. One of the standout aspects of the university is its strong sense of community. The campus is diverse and inclusive, with students from all around the world, which has allowed me to connect with people from various backgrounds and expand my global perspective. The facilities, from the library to the student union, are top-notch and contribute to an enriching university life. Living in Sheffield has also been a wonderful experience. The city is friendly and welcoming, with a vibrant cultural scene and beautiful surroundings, perfect for a balance between studying and exploring. I think Sheffield is a great University so far. As an engineering student, their equipment and facilities really stand out to me. Everything we do in lectures and labs reinforces the idea that they care about students and want to invest in the best education possible. The campus is really nice, and easily walkable (as long as it isn't raining too hard). The societies have been a real highlight for me, and I strongly recommend trying out as many as possible. Finally, internet is good, but not amazing. All Uni buildings have the eduroam network with ~20mbps speeds. While my accommodation didn't have great wifi, I was able to hook my laptop up to ethernet and get much better speeds.

social life at uni is great, societies ad clubs make uni life much more enjoyable. classes are engaging and challenging, encouraging me to maintain effort in my units.

Very kind and approachable staff who do not hesitate to help and support anyone struggling. Some older buildings and underground lecture theatres or labs having less than ideal internet access but otherwise very comfortable learning and study spaces throughout the campus and all buildings. Lots of activities and updates that make sure you will not miss out on anything, from society events, seminars or career talks available to everyone.

Best SU in the UK and it shows. A really strong student experience that integrates you into the community and the city.
The university is a exciting experience for me.
In my experience, all of my lecturers are very approachable and make studying enjoyable. The campus is convenient and I have been able to meet lots of great people through society socials. The student union is big and has great outlets.

This is genuinely the best uni ever! They are so welcoming and the campus is so easy to navigate - and the lectures and my department are so nice and so helpful.

The university buildings and facilities are excellent but everything is on a hill and slightly far away so it is tiring going back and forth from classes. The check in system doesn’t work for me that well but there are always informative events going on that are useful for my education and career

Sheffield has the best SU in the country and I have found that true whilst studying. There is always something to do, always help if you need it and great opportunities at hand.
Everyone is friendly here and the SU is really good. Theres a mix of modern and old facilities but they are all well lit and warm. I'm enjoying it here.
Unfortunately, I have been limited in what I've been able to see so I can't give a detailed run down. But the few areas I'm mainly in are extremely modern and very nice (Mainly the Wave)
My first year on campus has been enjoyable so far, the campus is a nice and welcoming place with friendly staff and many amenities.

Great uni, awesome buildings recently refurbished. Students union very active with lots of activities and societies. Wifi eduroam cuts out from time to time but usually works alright
Great university campus, placed in the heart of the city.
i've been here for just a bit, but i can already see the kind of effort the university - the facutly, the supporting teams and the students union alike, has put in to make sure you get the most out the opportunity. The academic content is delivered very well, the services are plenty and the students union makes sure to accomodate anyone and everyone.
The social aspect of the University of Sheffield is simply amazing. Wi-Fi is very good, but sometimes it disconnects randomly, which is pretty annoying, doesn't happen very often though.
This university has it all, cant go wrong with this amazing place!

Lots of societies and activities run by the SU, helpful services and lots of social and study areas - wide range from group to silent library spaces across the whole campus.
SU and the university seem really engaged with students, particularly student well-being. Lecturers seem to want the best for students and engage and help them understand content more thoroughly

As an international student at the University of Sheffield, my experience has been outstanding. A good accommodation with a lovely environment with good facilities
Univeristy of Sheffield is a diverse and tight-knit community. From day 1, I have been welcome into societies and sports clubs, welcomed by the appropriate officers of the school, been motivated towards the Dean's List, shown how to use the digital tools required and everybody has been super helpful. Registration and delivery of lectures is seamless and easy.
The societies are such a good way to make friends with such a wide range of societies to join

The scattered teaching buildings sometimes confused me, and I thought it could be better with the directional signs. Overall, my life here is very pleasant.

I had a good experience as a master student
The facility here is very nice and I feel very comfortable studying in the university. The classes are still pretty hard for me and I met some trouble in study. Overall, I enjoy studying here and I am very thankful to all the people here.
The location of this accommodation is excellent, as it is right next to the university buildings. It's only a 3-minute walk to the diamond, which is super convenient. The room itself was really nice and comfortable - the bed was cozy and the amenities were high quality. The reception staff were also very friendly and helpful. Whenever I needed something repaired in the room, they were quick to respond and fix the issue promptly. An added bonus is the gym room on-site, which was very useful and nicely equipped. The staff also provided us with free snacks and drinks, which was a really nice touch.
It's was a pleasant viewing and rooms were quite spacious.
I really recommend Provincial House as an ideal place to live. Especially for international students, it is a warm house, you can get support when you need. The receptionists here are really friendly and supportive, and the living experience here could be seen as wonderful.

its alright，few minutes from the diamond which is great for engineering students
WiFi is bad. The light is not sensitive
improve your network, make it more stable. the drain always blocked. There’s always fire alarms ringing and the common area are decent and nice a lots of social events i could attends. overall its a good experience.
