Overall, I find my experience at this university has been good - may be partial to my course but I think it is down to the student to make the university their home and worthwhile.
Very good uni, lots of support provided and good facilities.
Cardiff University has a lot to offer which makes it better for students as they can choose what they want to do.
It's good so far but I am still confused where to ask for certain services
Overall, I love being a Cardiff University undergraduate law student. Lectures tend to be informative and tutorials are a good place to voice concern or confusion you have with content. The social life at Cardiff University I would say is unmatched with hundreds of societies to join covering sports or academic clubs. You also have the ability to create your own society which I am doing with a volunteer charity. As well as the socials and YOLO are the highlight of the weekly social calendar. YOLO the Student Union club is always packed and a good mix of dancing, music and socialising by seeing everyone there.
Cardiff University exceeded my expectations! Excellent lecturers, top-notch facilities, and vibrant student life
It is a good university. The professors are good
Lovely area, buildings and lecturers
Such a freindly experience. As someone who commutes - I found people who I can connect with and share my interests with. The modules I do are taught by professionals and there are workshops Devi cafes to help you on your journey to academic success
Studying Software Engineering at Cardiff University has been a transformative experience, offering a mix of rigorous academics, practical experience, and an engaging campus environment. The Software Engineering program is well-structured, balancing theoretical foundations with hands-on coding and real-world problem-solving. The modules cover a broad spectrum of topics, from object-oriented programming and algorithms to more specialized areas like machine learning and cybersecurity. I’ve appreciated the variety in teaching methods, from traditional lectures to project-based learning, which really helps in understanding how concepts apply to real-world scenarios. The professors are knowledgeable and approachable, often open to discussion and providing support outside of lecture hours.
