Really enjoyed living here this year, perfect distance from my uni and the city centre. Also the reception staff are always kind and really helpful, especially Heather, Dean and one of the managers (I don’t know his name but he wears glasses).

I have been having an amazing time and my flatmates are literally what I hoped they would be🥰
The location of the Bakery is the best part. Close to everything.
So the staff are really good and nice to us especially Dean is so supportive towards short problems arising in the campus everyone is so caring and feels at home here!!
I have meet the entire team members and they all have been very helpful. Recently I met Dean and his entire team members are just amazing and helpful. Lovely stay here at the bakery
Hard to get transport to campus at all hours of the day unless you drive. No parking so that cost can rack up very quickly. Rooms are really spacious and beds very comfy.
Pleasant place to live, dean, Julie, James and Ben and are very welcoming
The staff are all so helpful and the flat is really nice
Everyone is really helpful and offer support. While everything is really well kept and cleaned.
Ryan and Dean have both helped me with problems at the beginning and found solutions quickly. In general, the team is nice and the accommodation close to the city centre.
The kitchen door handle broke, other than that all has been good. Leanne especially has been great at making it a priority to be fixed and keeping us up to date on when it will likely be fixed! :)
dank. leanne was amazing love her
Leanne was amazing, helped us out with any problems we had , was very friendly
Leanne was amazing. Very friendly and helpful
Leanne has been really helpful and useful with my queries and questions I have asked.
Ideal. Staff are lovely and living space is very nice. Making me feel very welcome.
Place is great, things are always breaking however. Dean was very useful
Dean is lovely. Location is great. One of the cheaper and easier choices for student accommodation in cardiff. Very student friendly.
No big study space or on site parking. Otherwise, staff available 24/7 and an alright spot
Great accommodation in a really good location just needs more social spaces!
This is my second year with unite students, but first in the Bakery. Rooms are better than most other student accommodations. In both years I have had issues with matience in the bedrooms but all have been resolved reasonably quick. Reception opening times vary and can sometimes be shut when you need them but they do usually try fix any problems you have or open if you desperately need a parcel etc.
Michelle was very wonderful and kept the kitchen very clean and tidy great job and very well Dean was very friendly and top work from him and good team work .
It was a good experience overall.
I love to stay here since it is affordable and the staffs are nice and professional.
Not bad overall But recent price hikes hurt
Good accommodation with friendly staff.
I've been living here for 3 years and it's really value for money, and it's so close to uni (JOMEC, Cardiff University) and the train station (Cardiff Central) which is amazing! The soundproofing in bedrooms is excellent, I barely hear the trains or my flatmates from my room unless the noise is from the kitchen, which is awesome for night owls who are always afraid of making too much noise when staying up late. The property team members come and go but they're all very nice and helpful. Also I used to be in a room that I can see rainbows all the time, maybe it's the direction? (Flat 21) It was surreal. The only few down sides: 1. Odd ventilation system, if anyone cooks something with heavier smell, it goes into your toilet/bedroom... 2. Lack of social space and common area/study area, but for JOMEC student it's close enough that I can just go to uni (4-6 mins walk).
Really enjoyed living here this year, perfect distance from my uni and the city centre. Also the reception staff are always kind and really helpful, especially Heather, Dean and one of the managers (I don’t know his name but he wears glasses).
Great Accomodation, hospitality, management team. Joy is an amazing staff.
Spent a great year here, special shout out to Mike, always good to see a friendly face waiting for us after a night out!
I love the security especially Mike. He is so nice and always ready to lend a hand with anything you need!
My stay in the bakery has been splendid, and enjoyable so far, there staffs are nice and friendly, particularly Joy, she is such an amiable person.. I will recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to stay in Cardiff
Been living here for most of my degree.
Worth the price, there is no social congregating area however they hold many events to meet new people
"Choosing student accommodation can be daunting, but my experience with the Bakery- unite student has been exceptional. From the modern facilities to the friendly staff especially Ace, Aveeba and Karen, every aspect exceeded my expectations. The location is convenient, close to the city center, near to central station and local amenities. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and conducive to both studying and relaxation. Additionally, the security measures provide peace of mind. Overall, I highly recommend the Bakery for any student looking for a comfortable and supportive living environment for reasonable price in cardiff."
I would like to appreciate all of the staff as they have been so welcoming and friendly. Dean is an amazing person for cleaning our kitchen and deserves all the appreciation he gets.
love it here so spending another year here
Excellence service and nice features in the apartment. I’m enjoying my stay at The bakery unite students.
Such lovely staff especially dean and Mike , very helpful and kind. Would recommend this accommodation, very good location as well , 5 mins from city centre so good for student night life .
Would definitely recommend this accommodation to other students looking for a place to stay, also like to say staff, dean is very helpful and a lovely person makes you feel very welcome
would 100% recommend this accommodation to future students. amazing staff and management that’s always here to lend a hand especially dean he has been a star helping us with all our needs.
Housekeeping addressed my complaint promptly and in a highly professional way, with Dean ensuring all was dealt with and cleaned to a high standard. He even went the extra mile to help clean extra areas that wasn’t necessarily an issue.
Housekeeping staff are extremely helpful and friendly, going out of their way to help us sort any problems and clean. Great asset to the bakery (give them a salary raise)
Dean is the best housekeeping person. He’s so nice and helpful with anything we need #Deanforpresident
The electric hob situation is absolutely awful. The hob turns off every 5 minutes and you need to manually turn it back on again. Hugely inconvenient, absolutely ridiculous There's also so much flat maintenance going on, there's always people coming into our rooms/flat. Really annoying
I came back from university to find my flat kitchen had been cleaned by a housekeeper, who I think was called Dean. The only job in our flat for him was to fix/replace our curtains, so I was pretty chuffed when it was completely clean. Thank you!
I am pleasantly pleased with this accommodation, and love the warming aspect of the staff members involved, from day one they have made me feel welcome and like the place really is a second home.
A big thank you to the cleaning team and specifically dean who decided clean our kitchen doing us a massive favour.
Great customer service, especially a member of staff called dean. He goes out of his way to provide us with information and aids us with any issues which we may have.
Great place to live, staff are really friendly and the location is really convenient
Staff are lovely Convenient location in the city center although a bit far from cyncoed campus Cardiff met Good transport links to uni though Rooms are very nice with double beds and modern Kitchen is modern Rooms quite soundproof I hardly hear my flatmates The app was useful so I could speak to them before moving in Issues normally quick to get fixed Would benefit from better social/ study spaces as we don’t really have one it’s just the reception. Parking and a gym would be great but would put the price up- happy with what we have for what we pay
The staff on reception are really nice, good wifi, good location, and a really good price (one of the cheapest in the city but still really good)
Can’t say it would’ve been my first choice but it isn’t bad. The rooms are ok other then a few minor snags like the skirting board not being attached and the occasional shower draining issues (which maintenance always sorts when reported). The kitchen was supposed to have been professionally cleaned before arrival but it didn’t seem to be that way. Not in a condition I would’ve expected when moving into somewhere. Someone on our floor was robbed by someone who claimed to have been maintenance, the response to this in the beginning was not as hasty as we would’ve hoped considering this persons room was ransacked and the man had returned later the same day and still wasn’t caught despite someone running down saying the guy was still there. When the police came, they checked all the rooms and then left the doors unlocked. It’s not great but it could be worse, there’s more I could say but there isn’t the space to do so
I really like this accomodation because it is near the train station and the city centre. It is also close to the gym which is beneficial.
Feels like home away from. Place is good staff is amazing very helpful special mention for Karen
Mostly Bidger Friendly, Bakery ideally is a great property with really supportive staff unfortunately I had a bad experience due to bad flatmates
Really friendly staff and nice environment :)
Proximity to river taff and city center was my attraction and also the cost. They have sizeable rooms with miniature bath...lol! The renovations was hell-ish for me but over all, I will recommend the bakery to anyone anyway!
Had many issues in the winter and autumn period because living next to the river causes issues in this accommodation. I suffered with an ongoing mould problem. But if you keep on top of it. It will be fine. The bathrooms are too small but the rooms are fine, the kitchen room tends to slam and if you're looking for quiet accommodation. Please take in consideration that there is alot of traffic at certain times on Pendryis Street and at the moment construction has had a bad affect on this accommodation as most things now are taped up and not properly fixed by the staff. But the staff if you are willing to talk to them are nice and welcoming as hell and are a highlight to the accommodation. However, if you are anxious or suffer with being a bit awkward, please consider that you would have to walk past the reception desk daily to come in and out this accommodation. But my experince has been fine, most of my negatives can be down to flatmates as it depends on who you get.
Getting a room at The Bakery came at a much needed time, I couldn't have asked for something better. Top of my reasons why I recommend this facility is the staff. The customer service is top notch, and they really care about their residents. I have a classic ensuite room in a flat of 5 bedrooms, which is okay size wise. The kitchen is well equipped as well. Perhaps, tvs in the kitchen spaces would be a welcome idea as the only tvs are on in the social spaces on the ground floor, which cannot take many people at a time . Please consider this TB team 😌🙏. Lastly, the location is great, with about 10mins walk to the city center, and there are lots of amenities around such as shops, gyms, restaurants, churche, mosque, etc. You could even catch the fair trade markets on Sundays.
The room sizes are quite small. There is no common areas for social gathering. Rooms are furnished and Kitchen is fully equipped with lounge seating.
Thank you for taking the time to review your current stay with us. I'm disappointed to read you feel your room is small, this is not something we have received negative feedback for. Our communal spaces are limited but we do provide an area with tables and chairs, sofa, large TV and gamestation for our students to use at their leisure. This is located opposite our main reception and I do hope you can find the time to enjoy these facilities.
It's OK. Bit brilliant, but at last check it's the cheapest Private Halls in Cardiff. Free WiFi tips out at 50mb which is fine. Its not blistering fast but it's free so can't whinge. You can go up to 100mb but Ask4 (the provider) are extortionate. Last year lots of foreign students, and a good.mix of first second and third years with a handful of master's guys too. Socially it's meh, there's no common it social spaces apart from a couple of sofas in reception. Usually a free barbecue at move in, and the staff to be fair are good. BCD blocks have no lift so if you're disabled you'll need to let them know you need the lift. Only qualm is the heat. Not even full summer and my rooms topping out at 36°c which is mental. Buy a fan! You're all of five mins stumble to the pub and the the city centre so always somewhere to go.
Security are awful, don’t bother staying here if you own a bike. They’ll tell you off for trying to use the gate, and tell you off for trying to bring it through reception. This place is run by clowns.
No common room in the building, which makes getting to know everyone not easy. Nobody is very chatty.
Best things about liberty park is the location. It's about a 15/20 minutes walk to uni (usw) which some consider bad but I don't think it's that far of a walk. Also, it's about 10/15 from town, easy walk, good for getting to clubs, and if you're feeling lazy, an uber is only £4. What else is good is the staff, can't fault them, any time there were any problems they were really quick to sort them, they also tried to help if you fell out with flat mates. As well as this, the beds are super comfy! Bad things are, no common room- other than the reception area which has a TV, the trains... they can be really noisy depending on which floor you're on and which side of the building. The laundry is really expensive if you do a wash and tumble dry- I think it's about £4-5. Also I'd say due to the small size of the overall accommodation and kitchen/living area it isn't great for social- having more than 8 people round was difficult as we were so tight for space. Minus all of that.. I had fun!
good location.. there is no common room
Amazing experience and great management, location is ideal for students and transport links are phenomenal.
Nice to be by the river, long way from the uni, not far from the shops but it is far from the clubs. Not very sociable flats.
Absolutely outstanding people that live here, there was a lot of activities set up in freshers and after by management to help us make friends. The location is phenomenal as it's just next to the city centre which enables easy access to shops and bars and also keeps you tucked out of most of the drama on match day even though the millenium stadium is right opposite the accommodation. Where the money is concerned I think it's scandalous at almost £5000 per year, but I guess it's personal opinion. Staff were not accommodating to students who's student finance were late in. There's no cleaners which sucks, I know of halls that have cleaners and are cheaper than the one I live in. There's no common room, you do get a tiny kitchen/living area which gets far too warm during parties. B,C and D block all have 4 floors and no elevators, I think that should be changed as it is so hard to move in and out. Overall the halls aren't perfect but they have a quirky charm.
