Crescent Place is close to city center, it is so close to the Southampton centre park, that I can enjoy sunshine very fast. It also close to bus stop I think the location is perfect. Wi-Fi is always so good, I didn’t meet any Wi-Fi or hot water problem.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

I have stayed here for two years now. And I have had a pleasurable experience so far. I must also mention John, who has done an oustandanding Job. He really takes the time to know the students and remembers their names. He is also very helpful and is always cheerful which is reassuring especially in stressful times.
Beautiful view from the room, however the room was very expensive. The extractor fan broke and wasn't fixed up to the point of leaving. The fridge wouldn't shut because of a broken seal and wasn't replaced. The cleanliness of the general areas were lacking with visible grime on handles and fluids on the floor in the lifts. That being said the staff themselves were lovely and do there best to help when they can.
It's peaceful but would be better if there're more facilities and benefits for us to use. One of the greatest things is Jaybie, the maintenance worker at the building, he is very helpful when I needed help with fixing stuffs in the room. He is responsible. Also Nicola, the reception lady, she is also very friendly and helpful when I needed advice or help. Definitely a role model as a receptionist.
Pretty warm service and quick-answering reception, frequent interaction with residents. However, public spaces are not enough such as study room and it is always locked for nowhere to book. Plus the equipments in room are little bit old and happens to broke in a short period of time. Hope to have more activities also. But think of the value pricing under a £100/week these may be not too much bothering and the location quite convenient to reach any plots here.
All quite good from atmosphere to staffs
A really nice place to live. The location and the environment around is excellent.
This is a great student accommodation. Really value for money.
Nice place to live and Jay's service is so nice and helpful!
Nice place to live in this period of time. Excellent reception and maintenance staff. Also with the same condition, cheaper than other accommodation
Lovely place. In the city center of Southampton, 10 minutes work from big shopping malls. In room you can enjoy a good view.
My second year at Crescent Place. Very kind and warm-hearted staff. The location is good close to the city center but not that close makes it a chill place. Transportation is convenient as well. One more important the cost is low compared with other accommodation. I am very happy to live here and already rebook my room for the next year.
Kerry is amazing!!! I had to send back some of my friends suitcases to Italy and she was beyond helpful. She allowed me to print a couple labels for the suitcases and she even helped the FedEx man get the suitcases onto the truck! She is utterly fantastic and will attempt to help you beyond the call of duty. Reception in general is amazing- but Kerry especially is helpful!
Lovely staff, amazing rooms and great facilities including a gym and study room. Repairs get done quickly and efficiently. Just a shame there arent kitchen cleaners like there used to be.
Me and my friends could book a flat and know we were going to be living together which was amazing!! The rooms are decent sizes as well as the kitchen and it’s so close to Solent University it’s great and with walking distance to everything else!!
Obviously, due to the pandemic some things aren’t possible, like social spaces being open and cleaners coming to our flats, but there has been no reduction in rent because of this, which means we’re paying the same amount and not getting what we signed up for in our contracts. As well as this, the struggle of getting your parcels is very difficult. You have to wait for an email to be sent to you before you can collect them, and I’ve waited days to receive these emails when I’ve paid for next day delivery and reception won’t give me my parcels, which have been delivered and are just sitting in the office. Most staff are friendly, but a few seem really uninterested in helping you at all and can be quite rude. As a building, it’s nice and the rooms are nice, but not all things were working when we moved in and it took a while to sort this out, such as heating problems and we didn’t have a TV for 3 weeks due to many issues with it being broken.
Things promised in the contract were never given to us (social spaces, gym, parcel service)
Generally is good, some aspects can be improved
Really friendly, helpful and quick maintenance
Amazing property! Would 100% recommend to future students.
It's an affordable place when comparing other studio flats in the area, however it doesn't work out worth the money. The management is poor and their attitude towards tenants can be appalling. If noise is a concern when choosing somewhere to live, please don't make the same mistake I made.
Low value for the money, only 1 table in a studio room, uncomfortable chairs, very expensive. Some problems took 6 months to get fixed ( like a window that was leaking air )
It’s great in general, the staff are very helpful
