The upper management are the greediest and most unhelpful of any company i have ever dealt with. Receptionists are friendly. But the upper management couldnt care less about the students. It's definitely money first, tenants second. No gym, breakfast, study rooms, games room, cinema, social places all locked off because of covid. Still paying full rent. Theres a groupchat of us on instagram with vita tennants all across the country trying to get out of our agreements wanting to leave. Yet they have said they will not list anyone's room until they have sold all of the empty rooms. And yet they expect the people that cant leave to come back as nice respectful tenants lmfao It's pathetic. It's a shame because if they wasn't so greedy. Its great for a single year. BUT DO NOT SIGN AHEAD FOR ANOTHER YEAR EARLY FOR THE DISCOUNT PLEASE. THEY WONT LET YOU OUT FOR ANY REASON AND THEY WILL TWIST THE CONTRACT TO SUIT THEM.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Worst experience and company! They still do not give me my refund my room even there is a replacement already living in the room now and I’m also waiting for the refund of my deposit. Can’t recommend it at all
The Vita rooms are a bit underwhelming most of all the bathrooms but they make that up with very nice social rooms and a good overall enviroment.
Internet almost never works well. Sometimes at the very important point of my work, it stops! Moreover, since I have been allocated to my room, I have hundredths of silverfish! Very bad place to live in!
Internet almost does not work! There are so many insects in the room! Since I have entered the room I kill 10 silverfish every day! The worst accommodation!
Casa dello studente situata nel cuore di Southampton bellissima, lussuosa e pulita, attenti al minimo dettaglio. Personale cordiale e gentile, posto perfetto in cui vivere!
Staff were mostly friendly but checking out process was terrible. Wasn't given a checklist of items to leave in room so had to use common sense - which meant I went and got rid of my used cutlery, pots and pans and kitchen ware. Considering these came new with the room I thought I was able to keep them or do whatever I wanted with them. But no. I've been given a massive £150 fee for these things including tea towels despite the building staff stating they donate the items to charity and don't pass them onto the next students in the room (seems like a lie if that fee is anything to go by) Only care about people who are sticking around too. Constantly was asked if I was rebooking my room.
excellent place to live and enjoy student life from work and play point of view!!!
Great place to live - very much worth the money you pay for the amount you receive.
Very expensive for what it is, which is essentially just one small room and a tiny bathroom. Location isn't great for uni of Southampton as you have to take the bus. They seem to spend more effort in encouraging new bookings, than they do looking after their current students. Social spaces did not have everything that was advertised.
The best place to live ever! Would probably have left uni if I wasn't living at vita student! I love it ❤️
The facilities are very well maintained, and the staff are very friendly. The rooms a very spacious and come equipped with everything you need to get started, right down to the coffee and sugar.
