Marland House Biography
Marland House offers luxurious studios for students in Southampton. If you attend Solent University, it’s just a four-minute walk away and if you are studying at the University of Southampton, it’s a sixteen-minute cycle away. Located near the city centre and the famous West Quay shopping centre, you’ll find amenities, shops, restaurants and nightlife spots close by.
You’ll find there are handy facilities in the building such as a laundry room, secure bike storage and fast WiFi throughout. If you are looking to work up a sweat, you can make use of the gym. There is also a games room, outdoor area and common room equipped with a TV for you and your friends to socialize in. For added convenience, there is a study area, all-inclusive bills, onsite maintenance and CCTV.
There are 9 different-sized studios to choose from at Marland House, to suit different needs and budgets. Some rooms offer more living space and extra storage making them ideal for both single occupants and couples. All the studios come with an equipped kitchenette, modern ensuite and private dining area. They are fully furnished with a comfy bed, plenty of storage and a study desk and chair. The rooms are spacious and modern and some offer amazing city views!

Very good place to stay near location to town
Staying at Marland is an experience. A wonderful one. With the social events that the accomodation host for the students it brings people together which is amazing! The social spaces and facilities that are provided are amazing aswell. Studios all spacious, have everything you could need!
The location of marland house is very convenient, there are many supermarkets around, such as Tesco, M&S, Asia, IKEA, Poundland, Boots and so on. Many of my friends from other apartments come here to buy things. The transportation is also very convenient, there is a bus stop across the street. I’m very satisfied with my room. The room had been cleaned before check-in. Besides, the reception is very friendly and enthusiastic. If there is any problem, the reception will help solve it in a timely and enthusiastic manner.
Very good position and the heater is very warm
The location is really nice, close to supermarkets and a bunch of shops. With a short bus ride away is the university. The staffs here are really nice and friendly. There are also events that help to bond the students living here as well.

Nice accommodation, very clean and tidy. First impression when you come in is nice and welcoming ( Smells nice, music playing and seating area). Staff are friendly and make you feel at ease with no pressure and seem genuinely interested in understanding what you are looking for. Location is ideal as you are close to everything.

Enjoyable experience for any student. Good quality studios, building is always clean and friendly staff who help with anything quickly. Location is really convenient in Southampton only 5 mins walk to University.

Marland is far my favourite accommodation. Friendly people. Chocolates when you come in. My studio is large and good view. Supermarket right round corner and also Chinese supermarket 1 minute away which make me feel at home.

Love living at Marland House. Location is ideal, close to Uni, shops, cafes and transport. Studio is large with great storage, modern and has the added plus of a real shower! The staff have always been really helpful and respond super quick to any requests and make the building a really nice place to live.

Marland house located in the best location. I can walk 2 mins to Asda super market, 7 mins to Westquay shopping center, 1 min to unilink bus stop , 8 mins to train station, 5 mins to bus station. It located in the center of everything. The price is good with a bigger room than I though. Everything is good except there is no private room to study.
Covid-19: There is no one in a reception room but everything is working good. When I email to the staffs, they always answer, they not leave us.

Really enjoy staying at Marland House. Studios are modern with good storage. Gym is a good size and parcels are easy to collect using the scan poster. In lockdown staff have been really helpful by leaving parcels outside of my studio.

I have been here for over 2 years now and the word i will use that best describes this place is 'convenient'. You;re literally in the city centre and can walk everywhere because everything is so close! The rooms are very stylish and simple. I love my room!

Although MH is more on the expensive side it is a lovely place to live. I chose to live here for 4 years of my study which I think speaks for itself. The management team is lovely and do everything they can to help, they even organise social events throughout the year. The building was only refurbished a few years ago and so it’s top quality and very modern with studio flats of all sizes. It’s in an amazing location in the city centre close to the train station and lots of bus stops, I’ve never had any trouble getting anywhere (and the shops are just around the corner). It’s just an all round great place to live and I would definitely recommend it.
Covid-19: As soon as Covid-19 became a worry in the UK, the team put up posters and sent emails around to all tenants to raise awareness of what symptoms to look for and methods of protection/prevention. I managed to get back to my family home before lockdown so I’m not sure what’s been going on at MH since but I’m sure they’re doing everything they can.
