Generally, good wifi but my room has poor wifi. Plugged in with ethernet I get 1GBps though. Unfortunately, I have terrible untidy roommates who do drugs. I can hear my roommate having sex every night it really affects my mental health. Sound insulation should be better.

The bedroom was adequate and was fairly large with good storage and a very useful long desk. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and it took a while to get used to it. The kitchen had all the essentials however it felt quite run down and in need of renovation. The table was positioned in one corner of the room where there was not enough space for it making it awkward to access. Space was also an issue where if there were an more than 2 people using the kitchen at one time you always seemed to be in each others way. In Wessex Lane you are quite isolated from the clubs and shops however there are efficient bus links that can get you to campus, the sports ground and the city center. The nearest shops are a couple minutes walk and are on the way to the main campus.
Absolutely awful maintenance team, all the building have had water problems, definitely would not recommend if you’re looking for warm showers cus its not gonna happen 👎🏼
Rat poo on kitchen floor. No hot water for a couple weeks. Drinking water was often lukewarm. Great socially though. No sinks in toilets. One shower between 7.

Don't come to Wessex Lane if you hate silverfish and bad wifi. Other than that, it's aight
this is for connaught halls which is a catered older building to one side of wessex complex. food choices good, social spaces excellent, rooms reasonable size, shared sink acceptable, showers toilets shared ok. excellent for not having to worry about cooking too much in first year
000000 stars, I couldn't believed what I seen. They are not habitable !!! One kitchen for 21 rooms and only 3 toilets, unbelievable bad and you still have to pay money for. Refugees will never accepted this type of accommodation, but home undergraduate home student have to. It's not faire.... Very upsetting
was good overall, settled in very well and everybody there was nice.
Building quite old, needs some refurbishment

Great value for money - especially with the free bus pass which gets you all around town! Nice staff in general and very very sociable due to the large flat sizes. Not too far from uni but not walkable to the city centre which is a shame. Also there are not many social spaces unless it is sunny and the grassy areas outside can be used. There is a bar but I've only seen it open 3 times ever...

Nice halls but in need of renovation. Far from the city center on the one hand, but close to univerity campus on the other. People from residential services- helpful, problems like something in need of repair- tackled quick. Social life was quite enjoyable during freshers' but got a little too much as the year went by and workload kept getting greater. Too noisy from time to time.
