Unique and beautiful building in a lovely grassy area with trees. Great Residence Life mentors and activities scheme, based under 5 mins away and a large Tesco about the same distance away. No lounge but kitchens are modern and well-designed. Most/all rooms on first 2 floors have stained glass for windows and top floor have skylights. Stunning. Despite being city centre, with windows closed at night, it barely reaches above 40DB so it's ok for sleep too. Can get hot on the top floor in summer (rooms 9-14). There's 3 kitchens, each for 4 -5 people. There's a laundry room with one washer and one dryer shared between both flats with a sink (cold water only!) and space for drying racks which is a bonus. There is also locked bike storage. Only beware if you don't like dogs as the churchyard is where may dog owners take their pets for walks especially in the mornings and evenings, and sometimes it's hard to find for delivery people, so you must give very specific instrustions.

Thank you for your review! It’s wonderful to hear that you’re enjoying your time at St. George’s Flats – the stained glass windows and unique church setting truly make it a distinctive place to call home. It’s one of the few student accommodations with such character, and we’re thrilled it’s been a highlight for you! I’m also glad that the Residence Life mentors and activities have added to your experience. With such a prime location near The Diamond, Heartspace, and the Students' Union, it’s hard to beat for convenience. It’s great to know that the kitchens provide a comfortable social space and that the central location still offers a peaceful environment for a good night’s sleep. And yes, giving clear instructions for deliveries is definitely a must in such a unique spot! If there’s ever anything more you need or further feedback you’d like to share, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Service team at acs-customerservices@sheffield.ac.uk. We’re always here to help! Danny 🧔🏻
It's a great experience to live in a church, but the sound-proofing is not good at all as you can hear someone walking and talking outside.
