Mr Feltip knows whats up Noise is fine. You will hear parties and people walking about from nights out but not loud as there is another block of flats to protect you from the noise. People also don't care if you have parties. Rooms have lots of plug sockets (In pictures they are all a bit hidden but there is a lot). Wifi is alright. Ethernet is really fast (600-800Mbps). People often use fire-exits for drying clothes but the cleaner will remove them when cleaning so make sure its clear on the cleaners day (You get a note which says the day she cleans). Maintenance is fairly fast (depending on how big the problem is) and are all nice. Not too far from the uni. If you take the road its about 20 - 25 min. If you take the short cut past a school then its about 10 - 20 min and flatter. All of Yarncliffe has elevators (A few other non-Yarncliffe blocks don't). Its worth going into hall on your first year so to meet new people. After that move into private accommodation as its a lot cheaper.

Hello there- Thank you so much for your question.
We don't release all rooms at the same time to enable those Students who are still receiving offers from their institutions to have the same opportunities as those who received offers prior to the application process opening.
We are unable to provide a specific date that more options will become available as we release more as and when the current options are filled.

Yarncliffe is a great distance from the edge. My flat doesn’t go there for socials except to watch sports sometimes, but it’s good to be close for the laundrette. It’s not too far from the Endcliffe shop either, but could be closer. Noise levels are totally fine, you don’t need to worry about it unless you hate fun
Had so much fun - close to the social area such as the bar and canteen!
Eduroam is absolutely terrible on mobile/tablet but it’s the same across all of university not just these halls. A bit worn down with paint peeling and a few carpet stains but nothing major. Cleaning once every 2 weeks and the cleaners are always really nice.
Honestly Yarncliffe is such a great choice if you want a social buzz but not too much, really central placement in the Endcliffe Village - near the Edge and the laundrette and has such a good vibe. Also - don't be scared of sharing in a 10 bed flat - I was a bit nervous going into it but I'm so happy I did because of how many people you get really close to! I couldn't imagine living in a 6 bed flat. The only problems - you probably will need to call maintenance every so often - but don't let this put you off as that's what you'd get in probably every student flat ever, beyond that it's a great place.
Best place to live as a sheffield student, based centrally in Endcliffe village you get a really good atmosphere. Very sociable and friendly. The walls are all red which trust me is the best colour compared to all the others. Flat are either made up of 6 or 10.
Very decent accommodation, great for meeting lots of people and having a great time but also comfortable for relaxing, working etc.
Yarncliffe is amazing, end of story.
Great place to live as you get the buzz of the 'party flats' but, also being behind them, means it's not as loud. Best of both worlds. Near both the Edge and not too far from the Village Store. Plus we've got a pond/lake behind us. Internet is fast and reliable if you use an ethernet cable, but wifi isn't bad either as it's the same as the campus wifi.
Yarncliffe apartments are all ensuite with a shared kitchen/lounge and set in the beautiful endcliffe village which will offer students an incredible social experience. Great value for money, there is a maintainence team on site and a residents support programme so any problems with halls are reduced to a minimum. Highly recommend Yarncliffe and the whole of Endcliffe village!
Great little flats, excellent location. Cleaning could be better and could do with more space for 10 people! Also very expensive but overall worth it for first year social experience!
Fairly expensive but most of the rooms are ensuite. 30 minutes walk to the university but there are regular busses if you're running a bit late. Kitchens are a bit small and we had some problems with the cleaners but that was because some of my flatmates were disgusting. Rooms were a decent size and very cosy. Everyone loves around the same area which is good, very easy to go and see people. There is the edge nearby (student bar) and a shop. Also its pretty close to other shops in broomhill. It's quite far away from town but the taxis are ridiculously cheap so it doesn't really matter. Overall a pretty good place to stay
