The facilities were top-notch, including high-speed internet, a communal kitchen, and cozy lounges. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transport and nearby grocery stores. I appreciated the 24/7 security, which made me feel safe throughout my stay. The cultural diversity among residents made it a welcoming community. Highly recommend it for a safe and enriching stay!

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

I’ve loved staying here! It’s such good value for money and problems were quickly dealt with. They got repairs out as soon as possible and if any questions were asked they would help out! I recommend sanctuary students as the location is also great, it’s right hear the centre and near the university so that was convenient too

It's good value for money, but if you want social things, go to the sister Hall down the road (Moor lane), which is where all the social things are held.
Hi There, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! :)
This is the best accommodation I have ever had since coming to the UK. I had to rebook it again for a second year, and if I proceed with postgraduate studies, I will definitely choose it again. The rooms are spacious and look great, the staff are helpful, and the residents are lovely. Students around love Sanctuary residences.

Hi There, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! :)
Very good place, very cheap for really good room with double bed and en suite which would usually be a lot more expensive, location is very good, right next to university and shops and also close to preston bus station, not very social as mostly older students who have established friend groups already and no social spaces
Hi There, Thank you for your review! We hope you enjoyed your stay with us! :)
Felt like a home... Very sad to leave
Hi There, so happy you felt at home living with us! :)

Hi There, Thank you for your lovely review! :)
I stayed in walker street, block C. It was great atmosphere peace and calm in my room. Great infrastructure inside rooms and well organised kitchen and having private bathroom for each individual. All facilities to a single person was provided. Always water and electricity and strong WiFi connection throughout my stay. Kitchen items are well equipped and entertainment for TV. For better price and ensuite strongly recommend this accommodation.
Hi There, Thank you for your lovely review! The team appreciate your nice comments! :)
Very good accommodation, I had this for my first year and having it for my second year as well, it is a very good accommodation, very close to university and town centre and shops as well. Staff are also very friendly
Hi There, So happy to hear you decided to rebook your room with us! We hope you are enjoying your time with us at Sanctuary Preston! :)
The accommodation is very close to the town centre and no more than 5 minutes from all university buildings. The staff are very friendly and are great at dealing with any queries/issues. The actual flats are good value for the price and are a great space for students. The laundry room in the building is easy to access, although you do have to go outside to enter the centre block if you’re not already in there. To collect deliveries you have to go to the office on Moor Lane (~5 minute walk), but other than that everything else is convenient and well worth the money.
Hi There! Thank you for your lovely review! We hope you have enjoyed living with us :)
Great space for the price with everything you'll need. Smoking area could be better, it's small and don't really see many people out there so difficult to meet people other than your flat mates.
Hi There! Thank you for your review and helpful comments. :)
This was the perfect accommodation for me. When I moved in it was my first year and straight away I was able to feel comfortable. The room size, bed size and bathroom are all amazing, even at a good price. I’ve already booked a room again for next year, can’t wait to be back.
Hi There, We are so happy to hear you have enjoyed your first year with us and hope you got the full freshers experience! We'll see you in September! :)
A great place to live ,staff are all really friendly. Extremely close to campus ,probably less than a 5 minute walk to most lecture halls which is very convenient and also very well priced for what you get in your room.
Hi! Thank you for your kind review, we hope you have enjoyed living with us :)
Really great location, large room for such a reasonable price. Staff are great and attentive & we able to solve any problems within a day. Lived here for 3 years whilst at uni and loved every minute.
