Everything is really good but had a couple of issues. One being the lift broke down with me and 2 friends in it and no one knew what to do really. Other problem was the flat I lived in had some issues and the security either never came or would take hours to come. Other than them issue I think sanctuary students are really good and I have even booked again for next year.

Moor Lane Halls Biography
Moor Lane Halls is ideally situated for students as UCLan is only a short walk away. You’ll be just a short walk from the city centre and have everything you could need and want right on your doorstep.
The common room has Sky TV, a pool table, a football table and a large flat-screen TV. If you are wanting to work up a sweat, you can make use of the on-site gym. It's a secure building with on-site security, CCTV, 24-hour caretaker and maintenance support. There are handy laundry facilities, WiFi, free contents insurance and all-inclusive bills.
There’s a choice of standard, double and ensuite rooms in shared flats of between 2 - 9 students. All rooms are fully furnished with a comfy bed, study area and storage and each flat has a communal kitchen and living space.

we are 3 students from Perugia University, Italy, registered at UCLAN for a post-graduate traineeship from May to September 2020.approximately 20 weeks.
We are looking for accommodation in en-suite rooms or all-girl flats. We would like to know if we can book 2 weeks now, and pay the remaining weeks on site if we decide to stay and don't change our accomodation in case it is suitabl

Place is much affordable for students and it's just a minute walk from uclan buildings which is more convenient and staff are really nice.

Moor Lane Halls is one of the best student accommodations in Preston. It is very close to the University (less than 5 minutes walk). The rooms are equipped with ultra-modern facilities. I will highly recommend for any student that wants a cool place to stay while in school.

I pay £99/week for an en-suite with a small double and think that it’s really good value for money. The bathroom is a decent size / big shower, as well as lots of storage in the room including under the bed. The kitchen and living room are huge with plenty of seating for everyone! The social spaces are very adequate but the recycling facilities aren’t brilliant. However, in saying that, I am 90% sure I’ll be staying there next year also for my 3rd year.

Everything about the accommodation was exceptional. It was clean, stylish with excellent service. Room was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. The maintenance services are also very quick.

The staff are friendly, i’ve been having issues with flatmates however and they’re not particularly helpful in solving the issues. the room is nice but the shower has a few issues

Always have good deals for students struggling for money, so it's my second time in their standard accommodation. Nice to have onsite laundry, common room and gym, which is rare for halls of this price. The bedrooms are very roomy with a double bed, and there's a separate shared shower and toilet room which makes things much easier. My main concern is that the bathroom has no proper ventilation so mould grows quickly and is a pain to remove. Once you can get used to climbing the stairs (if you're on the top floor like me), it's mostly well worth the money when you can get the price reduced (I paid £65 a week this year).

Elevators been broken for weeks

A pigeon came into my room while I was away and defecated on my desk. Pretty noisy at night from nearby accom. Room was a bit of a shoebox. Other than that, very friendly people at reception and always happy to help

The accomodation was cleaned regularly and any maintenance issues were resolved promptly. The common room could have benefited from being open 24/7 given that their was on-site security nearby at all times. The Wi-Fi connection could be spotty for periods of time, but any known issues (such as maintenance) were given enough warning beforehand. Staff were pleasant and efficient at their jobs.

Moor lane halls has been an amazing place to live and I have chosen to live there again next year, recommending it to all my friends. The office staff are always very welcoming and inviting and are happy to help with any issues or queries. The maintenance crew come over to the flat as soon as you call them to look over the problem and even fix it then and there if they can, even with larger issues they will keep us updated and let us know when they will sort it out for us. The rooms are not as claustrophobic as some accommodations and have lovely grey and white furniture. The kitchen is spacious and have never had a problem storing all my kitchen stuff and food, it has a massive area for food prep and a tv area with couches. The pool table is a great way to speak to new people and also enjoy a game with flat mates for free, always a good way to break the ice if you all don’t know eachother. The gym is also a great bonus, free and no walking distance.

I have stayed here the whole time I’ve been at university and I cannot recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived i had a positive experience. The staff were friendly and helpful with everything. Everything was easy to book and arrange, they even allowed me to arrive early. Any issues I have had with flat mates they have been there to help with. When I have had hard times with my course or flat mates they have supported me. The accommodation is standard but for the price you can’t moan at all. Still the cheapest accommodation in Preston and so close to all local amenities. I’ve loved staying here and will miss the staff and friends I’ve made whilst living here.
