very much like living in byron central, it is only a 2 min to northumbria uni which is great. Property managment is super freindly and helpful. Slight downside is that it is right next to the highway so depending on the flat it can be a bit noisy.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Great value for the price of the accommodation and a very convenient location, especially for those attending Northumbria. Some aspects of the room, such as the carpet and bathroom ceiling, are a bit outdated, but everything else is excellent—especially considering the price! If you're looking for affordable accommodation, this is the place to choose!
Thank you for your lovely feedback ! we're so glad to hear you're enjoying your time with us :)
This property offers a convenient location, reasonable value, reliable management, and strong WiFi. Social spaces and events foster community, though cleanliness could improve. A solid choice for students seeking comfort and connection.

It’s not the social location however i have a lovely flat and the staff are lovely. The wi-fi is hit or miss sometimes and the location cojld be better but all in all it’s simply superb!
Circuit laundry bit of a scam. My room has marks all over the wall but who cares. The decor could be more modern. Kitchen nice. Bedroom average

It’s good a accommodation, rooms are a bit small compared to other places, I like how close it is to the uni. Shopping is a mission though. And the internet is way better than last year when I was trinity sq

It is a shame it has been brought out by Newcastle, so only Newcastle university students can book it now
Thank you so much for your feedback ! Byron is actually a split nomination building at the moment meaning Northumbria University students can book via the university accomodation team, hope this helps if your looking to stay with us next year !:)

Very nice and kind staff members and wonderful maintenance. A big thanks to Sheila for always there to help and taking care of my priorities with the room choice 😊. Nice room and walking distance from the Northumbria University.
Really good for money, amazing location and modern facilities, in a flat of 3 so wish there was more people but some flats hold 5 so just luck
Byron central is the perfect distance from the quayside, both Newcastle universities and the city centre. There are also lots of places for shopping such as a Morrison's, just a short distance away. The wifi is fast and living spaces very comfortable and spacious. (A20)
Great location , staff could be better.
It's really good for Northumbria students and it's super close to town. The premium room is really good.
Great location .Great staff ,always there to help. E13
It’s a great accommodation, close to the both universities which is ideal, great study and social spaces, with modern interior
Great Location. Not too far from the city centre, the supermarket or a metro station. E13
The accommodation is really nice. The location is perfect. The rooms are nice.
Everything and more I could have expect for living away from home for the first time!
Friendly staff and very happy to help. Close to town which is convenient for university and for going to town. (E1)
Byron Central is definitely a good choice for students to dwell given its excellent care for the dwellers and reasonable price with convenient location. As a student, I have a great experience living in Byron Central. Not only does it provide a secure place to live but it also saves my money from taking metro to uni. Despite there could be improvements in regards of equipment maintenance I strongly recommend this one.
Has nearby supermarkets and is not far from the train station. Close to campus and places to visit!
Great place, close to the universities and other. Comfortable housing in general
Met some great people at such a great place, from flat G5
Reception and maintenance team are very friendly and helpful. Facilities are great as well! Good environment for students
byron central is a good place to live. it’s close to town and to the universities.
It has been good and a good value for money especially for a first year.
I’ve enjoyed my time at Byron Central so far and when i’ve had a problem, the reception staff have been more than helpful
Terrible, not living here again, heating doesn’t work well, hob turns off during use, Wi-Fi is bad, bins outside often too full, staff not very helpful, having to move often because of work being done, last year kitchen stunk all year and the staff did nothing about it.
Good uni accom close to uni and town centre
It’s an ideal place to live your uni lifestyle!
Apart from having to move 3 times due to ongoing renovation witching the accommodation blocks, it’s been a pleasant experience so far.
The reception team is one of the best! They are really lovely and supportive. The location is perfect to get around town and go to University.
Thanks so much for your lovely review!! We are so glad you are enjoying your time living here :)
Good location for uni and close to town centre, good rooms and kitchen. Service is always goof
Thank you for your review!! We are so glad you like living here at Byron
Very secure with great staff and facilities.
Thank you for the lovley review i will pass this onto the team :)
A welcoming and nice accommodation
Thanks for the great feedback :) If your looking for accomodation for the next academic year our bookings are now live. Drop in Reception and we will help you find the perfect room.
It's overpriced for what it is. I particularly hate the fact i'm spending 5 pounds per wash at the laundry room, this actually feels illegal. You'd think by now they've profited enough off of scamming students that they'd put in their own washers free of charge...
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. The machines are provided by a third party company and for the size of the machines we feel like they are a fair price. I will be happy to pass over your feedback though :)
Stayed here for 2 years now, good size rooms and nice kitchen
Thank you for leaving us a review ! We are glad to hear that you have enjoyed your time with us enough to stay a second year ! We are now taking bookings for next year so if your considering staying with us again pop along to reception and we can help book your perfect room :)
I am a big fan of Byron Central. I recently moved into Byron and I fell in love with it when I saw their floor-to-ceiling window and the pretty view. They also have a television in the kitchen which is so useful for a group of friends to gather every day. Their ensuite room is spacious enough for a student, you can work out in a room. I recommend students to stay here as the staff is friendly to help out as well. (Xandy Chwa, Block B9)
It is my second year living here and I would definitely recommend it for anyone needing someone to stay for University. It's a great location and very close to all the shops and bars. The staff are all lovely too!
This is a great place for students first years or not to stay for a year or even more! The welcoming staff are always kind at reception and the facilities to help students such as the study spaces are really handy, the common area is always packed with people playing games and watching movies and the rooms have great internet access and good amenities
Friendly staff at the reception and regular inspections to make sure health and safety is all good and any issues with our rooms or kitchen appliances were resolved quicky all in all a good customer experience (************)
Really lovely accommodation, staff are friendly and really helped me out when I re-booked for next year. Highly recommend
