one of the most popular alongside crown and greenbank. Def a party accommodation so if you’re sociable then great. Expensive tbh but it’s a really nice place, i would recommend it :)

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
Room was very nice. Catered food was not great and laundry wasn't a fun experience.
Pros - had great flatmates, on campus so lectures are close, friendly cleaning staff. Unfortunately these are the only pros and there's way more cons. Cons - wifi is on and off especially in exam season (like it doesn't work for a few hours/days) but when it does work, the wifi isn't slow and loads reasonably. Maintenance comes so often that it's annoying and most of the time they don't even come on time so they can just come on a random Tuesday at 4pm which is annoying, some of them are also not hygienic, and step on your bath mat with their shoes and for my flatmate they placed it on her toothbrush above the sink. If your room is near the lift... you will hear the lift going up and down constantly, kitchen is okay. Loud screeching noises in the pipes for some rooms and between the floors.

Vine court will use and abuse you, walk into your room at 9 am without notice for maintenance. Placed 12 girls on ground floor then we got broken into twice and they did nothing, flat flooded and again did nothing, electric door stopped working again nothing each problem took over two weeks to fix yet we’re paying extortionate rate for what ?! Overall met some good people here (not many) tho RA is generally very nice, people on reception are okay some nice some not (I.e guy who stole our decks) also never saw sunlight for the whole year basically a vampire at this point. The dungeons has given us all depression xx
No social spaces at all. Very very slow in taking care of issues.
Way too expensive for what it is but I do love my room, it feels quite homely here and the kitchens are quite nice too
Great social area to meet people, everyone is very sociable and it's a great place to make friends, especially with your flatmates. It's close to the city centre and most parts of the university which means there's no need to pay extra money for transportation. Cleaners come regularly and security are very nice. Only let down is the expense, as much as I love Vine Court it is very expensive
Overall my vine court experience was cosy and safe. I loved my double ensuite room so much yet the social aspect of the accomodation was terrible. I'm a very sociable person but was unable to make very close friends here as socials are very limited, parties get shut down at 11 and flats cannot be accessed unless you know someone in there which is annoying during freshers when you want to make new friends.

Whilst vine court is uneccessarily expensive, I've loved my time here. It's so practical being 10 mins from town, 5 mins from uni and 2 mins from the library. Right next to vine there is a Tesco, kfc, subway and much more which is handy (especially when you're hungover). Hall wardens and cleaners can be d**** (bar Winnie) and cleaners will sometimes refuse to clean even though it's not that messy which gets annoying. Security are sound and easy to get on with. Food isn't great and the serving times are very inconvenient however breakfast is ace. Vine court C block seems the most social, would recommend!
Outdated and run down, although cheap to live at the accommodation is definitely not a home for home.
Hall wardens are extremely rude. I was verbally insulted by them a number of times during my stay in the halls, including once whilst picking up a parcel in the morning before uni, which left me quite distressed for the rest of the day. I also know several of my friends have been harassed or mugged on the way home from a night out whilst walking back here - normal for a city of this size to happen on occasion but security did not seem to care at all. Not ideal when you're 18 living on your own for the first time. Resident advisors in the halls were not much better, often getting involved in personal drama and arguments between students. The University are fleecing money out of students through this building without a care for the safety or well-being of students. One of my friends dropped out half way through the year whilst living here due to severe depression and I'm not surprised about that at all. AVOID.
I have to say, this accommodation exceeded my expectation in almost every way :)
It's possibly the best accommodation one could ask for, and I have to disagree with the rest of the reviewers here! The wifi was absolutely amazing for me, and the management staff was great! I wished I could prolong my stay here!
Far too expensive for what's included and the administration team are terrible and non responsive. Good luck doing any work with the wifi that hardly ever works. It is close to the uni which is helpful but also on a busy road so be prepared for police sirens at 3am most nights. The cleaning staff are really friendly and helpful, although the common/social spaces are not the best for socialising. The laundry facilities are also lacking with a small number of washing machines and dryers that are often broken or out of service.
Large kitchen good lounge area but would be nice to have a breakfast bar or proper table to eat at.
Hall staff think they can enter your room whenever they like. Rooms are extremely hot - soon rectified when you take off the panel for the air conditioning and change the settings to bring it off central control. Management are abrupt, rude, and dismissive. Manager walked away when trying to raise an issue, not fit for purpose.
Vine Court is overpriced - there is plenty of cheaper and equally good accommodation nearby. Although you are expected to adhere to the contract you sign the university seems to think it has no obligations itself. Fine if you speak foreign languages as seems to be full of international students. This affects social interaction. Hot water is intermittent as is the heating in winter. Shower was serviced by maintenance using my toothbrush! Stay away!
Vine court is way too expensive for what you get. The hall management is terrible. They are so intrusive, they will regularly come into your room without permission. The catered food is unhealthy and tasteless. Plus it's not like you'll actually be eating it as its only available at very odd times during the day. The only good thing about vine court is its location on campus.
Don't waste your money on the catered option - food is terrible and unhealthy (chips nearly every day). Rooms are lovely and spacious, comfortable double beds and great en-suites. We had a large kitchen which was good for socialising but 16 people in one flat was way too many, it was hard to get to know everyone well.
Great location, lots of social possibilities but the catered food is terrible and not worth the money.
Beautiful accommodation located in south campus. Security was very good, always felt safe. Maintenance and cleaning was great too. If anything broke it would be replaced/fixed that same day.
Vine Court is a pretty amazing place, you're right next to lectures, 15 minutes from town and having the library right next to you is a godsend in the exam periods, made loads of friends here and got plenty smashed!
Far too expensive - especially when compared to alternative non-university accommodation which is on a par for quality but far cheaper. It is ridiculous that there are only 10 washing machines and 10 tumble dryers to be shared between over 700 residents. Washing and drying clothes is literally an impossibility. Moreover, to add insult to injury, a wash costs £2,30 and to dry £1,20. Given to extortionate rent already paid by residents a one coupon a week system would be much better, whereby each student is entitled to one free wash and dry a week and the cost of any additional washes and dries must incurred the resident. Location is amazing, especially if studying humanities subjects which tend to be situated in the south campus area of Liverpool University. However, walking to the science based north campus takes little more than 10 to 15 minutes. Management is, put simply, appalling.
Hall wardens can be extremely strict.
