Overall, staying in Islington was a pretty good experience . They're location is really good as it's close to UoL and to Lidl, and both a Turkish and Asian supermarket. The only draw back is the lift which is slow and there was only one working lift throughout my stay

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Overall good place to live when spending time and studying in Liverpool
Please, don't look at the photos they apload this is the real photos and this is my story Although the price is high, it is an unsuitable place to live. I suffered in this residence and got poisoned from eating outside because the place is not suitable for eating and I was exhausted financially, morally and psychologically, and they do not accept to cancel the contract even though the contract is essentially invalid because the heating has not been working since the first day I came and now they are offering to fix it after winter is almost over and the chair is in this shape that has been in the picture since. The first day, they promised me to change it on the first day, and the end of half the term is approaching, and now they are offering me reforms, and even though I am a lawyer, I cannot file cases here, and if I resort to a lawyer, I will have to pay more... I do not recommend him at all. I have suffered and I am still suffering, and I am afraid that they will claim things th

Amazing place, easy to rebook and stay in the room you started in.
Overall, there are only minor criticisms I would make with regard to this accommodation as my stay has proven to be one that I've enjoyed.
Don’t waste your money, the reason google reviews are so good is because the building bribed students to write 5 star reviews with gifts. The building is stuffy and hot, and the first 3 floors have no AC, it’s unbearable. Endless maintenance issues especially with plumbing, the lifts constantly break down and if you lose your key it’ll cost you over £60 for a new one. The location isn’t as close as it seems either, both UoL and city centre are 20+ mins. It’s on a main road so very noisy and for this reason you can’t open your window at night. Storage space is very limited too.
love this place so much!!!!!!!
very good happy experience in Liverpool
Very welcoming staff and well managed.
Lovely rooms and roommates I have enjoyed my staff here!!
This accomodation is very spacious and clean. Staffs are very friendly.
I’ve been here for over a month and so far I have no complaints. Staff are always willing to help, in particular, Abby is always here for student support. It is great value for money and a lot better compared to uni owned accommodations. It’s been a great experience so far with an amazing atmosphere, 10/10
Spacious Studio, very nice staff!
a nice place to live in, i compare it with many other building. I think it is better for me
The accommodation is just amazing
Feel like I’m at home, stayed there more than a year, the people are amazing and help out with anything even stuff they are not supposed to but someone is always there for the students
One Islington just feels like home, i never felt like a stranger or far away from home, lovely people and lovely place, so if you are looking for an accommodation then One Islington is the one.
One Islington Plaza is a great place for students. Its very safe and in a very convenient place. All the staff are amazing.
Nice reception and facilities to use rooms were nice and very spacious
I loved my room and the kitchen was huge!! The downstairs amenities was amazing, especially cinema room. And reception was lovely
One Islington Plaza is a great place to live, really close to all 3 Liverpool unis and the facilities, internet and staff are amazing. Overall just a great atmosphere and good location
One Islington Plaza is an amazing place to stay and I would recommend this accommodation to anyone moving to Liverpool!
I have lived at One Islington Plaza for over a year now and hope to live here until the end of my university degree! The thing that makes OIP amazing is the staff, they genuinely care about your wellbeing and that you are comfortable and happy and they're always up for a chat if you're feeling lockdown blues or even if you're having a bad day. The staff are amazing! If anything goes wrong in your room they will fix it and the maintenance staff are fabulous too. The accommodation itself is beautiful, modern and stylish and the rooms are the same. The views in the rooms are beautiful with a nice big window and the shower is a large size with a nice waterfall shower head. The location is a 13 minute walk away from the train station, a 5 minute walk to university campus and has great bus links and local shops nearby such as local Pizza Hut/dominos/tescos/home bargains/lid/post office and event local hospital is a 5 minute walk away. Wish I lived here in my first year of uni! Love it!
Best place I've stayed so far. Wished had longer to stay in this place as the staff are amazing and always go out their way to help! Gym is excellent, although it's a little cold. I stayed in a studio on the 8th floor, excellent views, especially at night time and biggest Studio I've lived. Cinema room is amazing. I used to book it out and have Xbox night with my friends on a huge projector TV. Overall, very close to the Hospital and all major unis. took me 5 mins to walk to Uni of Liverpool.
Great staff, super friendly and great place to live. Stayed during my final year and enjoyed every minute of it! Great location, within walking distance to uni of Liverpool and super fast WiFi.
As a final year student I had a ball here and met some nice people, especially the reception team with Harrison always on hand for advice and help. Living in a 6 person cluster, I had the Deluxe ensuite room with a good sized kitchen, plenty of storage with 2 big fridges and a free 50 inch TV :) I made great friend in my cluster which was shame as I had to leave early due to COVID-19 :(. Would highly recommend.
Covid-19: Provided helpful tips on social distancing. Kept us informed daily and got cleaners to constantly disinfect handles and furniture.
I booked a room here because it was new for this year. I expected some teething issues - which there where a few. But I am please I booked here this year because the social spaces are amazing the cinema room and gym are great. I have made lots of friends and the staff are really nice and helpful.
