Edinburgh College Residences is ideally situated for residents to enjoy everything Edinburgh has to offer from local cafes, shops and green spaces, the University of Edinburgh is also a short bus ride away.

Edinburgh College Residences offers a range of ensuite, studios and apartments for students to choose from, all catering for every students budget. What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?

Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Edinburgh college residence is one of the best accomadation in west granton. Though it is little far for us from university but still is worth it and also the reception manager Issac is so friendly with everyone and also makes us feel so comfortable as we were so paranoid to settle in new country he made us feel like home here. The social place in the building is so beautifully maintained and also the safety inside and outside the building is perfectly maintained ! Thank you !!

Good for people who have money, however i dont think its much worth in general for accommodation after all, however our receptionist is issac is friendly and does everything he can for us !

Probably the best student accommodation I've stayed in while also being one of the cheapest. The room is comfortable and the staff are very nice too. The location is good being right next to shops and theres plenty of bus routes to get where you need within Edinburgh. I don't really have any strong complaints.

I really appreciate Isaac from the reception. He is super friendly, always in a good mood and tries his best to help students with any problems we have. The accommodation is right next to a Morrison's and a Lidl, which is great for shopping in the evenings.

very close to campus and very easily accessible buses that go all around edinburgh and to central. the receptionist issac is lovely very friendly and chatty and the social gatherings he arranges are very fun and enjoyable

It's a good area right next to the college and also next to a big Morrisons, making the location very convenient. The people at reception are really nice and sociable, however sometimes it takes a while for them to sort out issues. When I first arrived, my window was broken and couldn't properly lock, and it took a few weeks to get fixed and I had to report it several times. We had quite a few issues with the flat but they all eventually got fixed, but it took longer than it should've. I think the prices are quite high considering the amount of things that were broken in my flat. There are only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. They were recently updated so they're good quality, but it makes doing laundry difficult when the machines are always taken. Overall I'm happy enough here, it's very convenient which is important for me and I'm able to put up with the issues if it means less travelling. Reception is also lovely and they always make sure we're aware of social events and such

Having lived in multiple student accommodations, I can confidently say that the receptionist here is by far the best I’ve ever encountered. From day one, he has been incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help with anything I need. The rooms are clean and exactly like the photos. The shared kitchen is spacious, and the staff is very friendly! It’s conveniently located right next to the bus stop, making it easy to get around. I highly recommend it!

A great accommodation to stay at with great staff at reception. The rooms are a good space and the kitchen is modern with good appliances. Very local grocery stores and very convenient access to public transport. However the area isn’t the safest with levels of crime being slightly concerning. Other than that i would recommend

amazing place to stay for all students. the staff are great and so helpful with any questions or issues you have. it is in a great location right next to morrisons and a lidl which is just a short walk away. it is located next to many bus stops which take you anywhere you might need to go in edinburgh. I would highly recommend for all students look for a good value place to stay.

I’ve never written a review before, let alone a negative one, but i’ve compelled to do so. I’ve never felt so unsafe in my life as I have in this place. I’ve had £30 worth of food stolen from me and had intruders into our flat, and the staff have acted like it’s completely our fault, being patronising and demeaning towards us while also refusing to help. The rooms are stained, worn and somethings are just broken. I am just waiting for the day my contract is up so I can leave. I cannot stress strongly enough how unsafe i feel here, and I would strongly encourage no one to stay here, especially not the girlies.

Amazing staff, really helpful and will sort out any issue with ease! Also have a great common area with a TV, plenty of couches, a foosball table and a ping pong table! There are plenty of places to get food nearby including morrisons and a lidl. there are also 4 bus stops 5 seconds away all of which can take you into town!
It's the perfect place and environment to study. The treatment is excellent, and the management is fantastic. I had a wonderful time, and all was sorted on time.
A really good place to stay with nice friendly people and good management. Any issues you have are looked at promptly and solved as soon as possible. Hugo is always ready to help. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The location is great, close to numerous supermarkets, a dentist, the college campus, beach and a doctors surgery. Our accommodation manager is amazing, so lovely and welcoming.
