88 Bromsgrove House is situated in the heart of Birmingham’s popular Chinatown, with Chinese supermarkets and great restaurants right on your doorstep. As well as this, just a stone’s throw away is the city centre, the Bullring Shopping Mall and The Arcadian. When it comes to getting to lectures, you’ll find all of Birmingham’s universities are within a short walk or cycle away.
The communal areas of 88 Bromsgrove House include a cinema room, communal lounge, gym, cookhouse, private dining room, games area and karaoke room, giving residents so much room to enjoy socialising with friends. There are also study rooms and a snug area for you to make use of. Other handy amenities include a laundry room, bike storage, vending machine and WiFi. Residents can also benefit from having contents insurance included, all-inclusive bills, CCTV and onsite maintenance.
At 88 Bromsgrove House, you can pick between a range of studios or one-bedroom apartments, depending on your needs and budget. Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

I stayed here during my undergraduate and had an amazing experience, the room was to my standards and the staff were so lovely and welcoming. The manager, Rosia, helped with every issue I had and saw to it that all my needs were met. Thank you to everyone, I plan to come back here for my masters.
Very convenient and comfortable living environment, very, very close to shopping mall station. Nice apartment. The staff in the apartment are very nice and kind. Especially Zara Gulistan and Stella, who have given me a lot of warm help.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They make you feel comfortable in a new place and are very supportive and responsive to all your queries very soon. It’s very pleasant place that offers multiple choices for entertaining. Staffs are helpful and the location is perfect especially for Chinese student ! Overall, it’s a great place for students and highly recommended!
This accommodation locates nearly the city center with convenience of shopping and transportation. The staff is very nice and organizes some activities with some food. I enjoy my life.

Good location, Close to hanson mart and tesco 5 minutes walk to 61/63 bus stop 5 minutes walk to Vietnam restaurant and chinese food. Gym and cinema inside the building, also other common areas

I love being at bromsgrove house, location is great literally 10 mins walk from the station, opposite o2 academy, 10 mins walk from bullring, clubs are local so even if youre drunk you can make it back safetly. The staff are friendly, i love my studio and my friends love it too, the communal spaces are nice, cinema room is a vibe, lounge room is cute too, great place to take pictures, in terms of the social experience everyone is to themselves but thats expected becuase we all live in studios or apartments, so everything we need is in our rooms but the people that live here are friendly, this will be my second year at bromsgrove house, and tbh i dont see myself leaving until my degree is finished. - Vanessa

Experience has been great really as I have lived in this accommodation for the past 3 years and my degree has now come to an end. I would be living in this accommodation in the future with my masters programme. couldn't recommend more!.
