UCL's reputation is founded on its research-driven approach, so if you're someone who loves critical thinking and pushing boundaries, this is the place. It attracts some of the best academics and students globally, so you're constantly surrounded by incredibly bright, diverse minds. UCL’s location in central London is another huge perk. Being in the heart of one of the world's most vibrant cities means you have access to amazing cultural, professional, and social opportunities right on your doorstep. The campus has an energy to it, bustling with students from all over the world, which can help you feel at home. On the downside, the size and pace of UCL can feel overwhelming at times, especially since it’s a large institution with a significant student body. The support systems are in place, but you need to be proactive in seeking help when needed. Also, as with many London universities, the cost of living can be steep, and the competition for accommodation can be fierce.
UCL is a great mix of academic brilliance, career excellence and social fun. The people are lovely too!
good school, have many resource, like career centre, academic writing lessons
Overall a good experience here
It was a pleasant time here at UCL. I thoroughly enjoyed the support I had, whether it’s through the services on-campus or the departmental supports available.
Best faculty , best opportunity and best facilities
Amazing experience so far. Very nice supports from my academic department. The students union is always active. There are great places inside the university. Libraries are perfect and the student centre is what you will ever want. Financial and mental support services of the university is top notch that matter the most to be.
It does not have a single campus like universities in the US or Canada. It’s sort of spread around central London. You will be right in the center of London so great opportunities to network! Has a campus in East London too which is near the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Loads of libraries and study spaces. I don’t like that it does not have its own recreational center or sports grounds.
There are many great societies to choose from. Campus offers many resources, some of which are better than others. Overall, it is easy to be as involved as you want to be.
I really love this year’s international study experience at UCL, and I do believe that I will never forget the memorable moments there.
