As a student at Swansea University, I can genuinely say that my time here has been an incredible chapter of personal and academic growth. Studying Business at Swansea has been both challenging and rewarding, with passionate lecturers and a curriculum that blends theory with real-world application. The campus facilities, especially the business school's lecture halls and resources, are top-notch, and the supportive academic staff make it easy to reach out for guidance when needed. One of the highlights of my time at Swansea has been playing hockey. Joining the university hockey team not only allowed me to stay active but also introduced me to an amazing community of like-minded, friendly people. Balancing sports with academics taught me valuable lessons about time management, teamwork, and determination—skills that I know will serve me well in the future. The location of Swansea University is another standout feature. The Singleton and Bay Campuses are just a stone's throw from beauti
My experience at Swansea University has been mainlh positive. The academic staff are knowledgeable and supportive, and my course has been very enjoyable. Facilities provided on campus are well-equipped, though there’s room for improvement in study spaces during exam season. The campus has a vibrant atmosphere with plenty of extracurricular activities, and the support services for students, such as career advice are very helpful. Overall, it’s a great place to study and grow academically and personally.
Swansea University has been a fantastic place to study, offering a supportive academic environment, a beautiful location, and a strong sense of community. The lecturers are great, and the facilities, especially on Bay Campus, are modern and well-maintained. However, there are areas where the university could improve. Many societies and events are heavily focused on Singleton Campus, making it challenging for Bay Campus students to participate. This creates a feeling of disconnection for some students, myself included. The WiFi on campus could be more reliable, especially because a majority of my peers struggle to connect to edurodam and are often using the free slow WiFi One area I feel strongly about is the need for more direct career advice integrated into the curriculum. While career services are available, emphasising practical career preparation and advice into our courses would better equip students for the transition into the workforce/ life after uni.
Very good course and easy accessible for students living off of campus aswell
Swansea University is an amazing place to study! I study Aerospace Engineering at Bay Campus, where we have state-of-the-art facilities, such as the second-largest wind tunnel in the UK and two flight simulators (named Maverick and Goose). The campus is also located on the beach, meaning after lectures you can go watch some of the most beautiful sunsets over the sea. There is also a pool table, table tennis tables, 5-aside football pitches and a basketball court to spend your breaks having fun and get you meeting new people. There are also some nice study places and a beautiful library with regular upgrades. The only downside is that it can get quite busy, especially close to exams, but there are always other places you can go on campus. The biggest downside for me is that most societies happen on the Singleton Campus which takes a while to get to from the Bay Campus (40 min bus). But there is still a nice gym and a sports hall on the Bay Campus. Overall though, it is lovely.
Good STEM university which allows for good postgraduate opportunities.
Bay Campus is really nice in terms of the beach and generally what’s available to use as an engineering student, however the main library is too small, and is often too busy or too loud to study in
the campus is good it is definitely missing some more study areas and more food options.
Overall very good, with couple areas needing improvement
As an international student my experience so far has been beautiful, doesn’t feel like I’m far from home ❤️
