As we're in the city centre, there's plenty of parking nearby however due to our central location there's really no need to bring a car as Swansea city centre in on your doorstep.

St Davids is close to the city centre and good for a smaller budget, the rooms are spacious enough for one with good storage also. Being just a 5 minute walk from 3 major supermarkets and 10 minutes from swansea’s nightlife, it definitely accommodates the student lifestyle. The transport is okay with buses every hour outside the accommodation however these can sometimes be unreliable and the closest stop for campus buses is a 10 minute walk minimum which is okay if you’re able and happy. It’s relatively well kept however the outside spaces aren’t the cleanest, not expecting them to be sparkling but they could definitely be better.

It has been a great experience living in Student Roost. Whenever there was a problem, it will be quickly rectified (for example, the microwave had broken, and was quickly replaced). I also love the amount of social events they hold too which does help socialising. I’ve met nice people through the therapy dogs event which was really sociable because everyone loves dogs and love that they hold a film night every week. The value for money is excellent for the location and the size of the rooms, which have plenty of storage. I have recommended this accommodation to future university students as I am a student ambassador as it is value for money and close by to all universities in Swansea with plenty of transport available. I recommend 10/10

This is a wonderful accommodation and the staff are always friendly and helpful and they also do a lot of activities here for everyone to take part in they also do a movie Monday which most places don’t and this is the cheapest please and the room are a good size

Hands down, best choice to stay at while you’re studying in Swansea. With a bus stop right outside the building, the train station 5 mins away and most importantly, Parc Tawe the gym just across the road, they’ve got it all covered. The reception is always available, with a friendly staff that are always more than happy to help you with whatever you need and just are so fun to talk to. People from various countries are resident here and there shouldn’t be a problem with you making friends. Every month, they’ve got a list of really fun events to attend, pizza parties, Halloween, Christmas, Eid, and my personal favourite therapy dogs that just make your whole day! I’m a current resident here and I recommend you choose St David’s to be your first priority to make your Swansea experience if not the best, but certainly fabulous!

It's great for budget but the up keep with shared kitchen cleaning depends on your flat mates being clean.

Bit of a rip off and if you dislike it and want to leave half way through the year or even before you move in you can't. The pricing of the different room types is a joke we got a more expensive room than last year and it was much worse and not maintained at all , lights not working, exposed wires , smelly , and disgusting, after this we asked if we could not move in and leave and they didn't let us . The WiFi is pretty good though.

Overall quite a good accomodation without too many major issues like uncleanliness, it's a solid reliable place to stay in. Great proximity to shopping centres and train station, has a car park nearby, not too far by bus and you get a free bus pass. Study room is a nice resource. Room space good. Overall a decent place

While on the pricier side, the facilities and rooms more than make up for it. The wi-fi included in the rooms are fast and great for streaming and gaming (also studying). The social spaces are a great place to be with multiple rooms dedicated to studying, gaming, watching tv, etc. St David’s is also located within a 5 minute walk to the retail park which has all of the shops you could ever need.

Although I don’t live here I come here often so see my friends and hang out in the nice cinema room or games room. It’s currently exam season and use the study room often just to read and chill.The best part is when I get hungry there are so many vending machines to use form. I’m terms of experience I’d have to give this one a 10 and don’t let me get into how easy it is to make friends and just socially have fun here 🤩🤩🤩

It’s in a great location. There’s many places you can socialise. There’s a bus stop right I don’t that takes you to bay and back. There’s cleaners that come in at 8 to clean the lifts and public areas. The night staff are lovely and very helpful. If you have an maintenance issues, they’ll sort it out for you as soon as they can.

Overall, a good stay. The only major issues I've had here are with flatmates, so really no fault on the behalf of Student Roost. The Bronze Ensuite is a pretty spacious room and for all the other amenities included (Gym, common spaces, study room, on-site washing machines & dryers) is good value for money. The on-site washing machines aren't included in your rent, you do have to download an app to pay for your washing, but I personally don't find an issue with this.

Decent accommodation, really abysmal social experience, especially being a first-year, so kind of regret it. Hardly any social events to meet other people, no freshers event to even get to know people at the start of the year and just seems a bit of a dead place. This place has no soul. The courtyard needs refurbing, just looks depressing. 10/10 for location and parcel service though.

It’s been a pleasure staying at St David’s. The location is great and almost everything you need is easily accessible by foot. The staff here are friendly, competent and are always ready to help, should you need anything or just fancy a chat. The social spaces are great and are always clean and tidy :)

The location is really good, everything is easily reachable on foot which makes things like food shopping very easy. Town is also very close and so meeting up with people and socialising is very easy to do.

Lovely staff, friendly environment. Clean rooms and good facilities. Brilliant location, centre of town so only a 10 minute walk from a good nights out and the high street. Bus stop located right outside which goes campus to campus. En-suite facilities are good and any problems you report are sorted straight away.

i wasn’t going to come to uni and then i viewed the accommodation with my friend and it kinda convinced me to come, the social rooms are lush and the staff are always kind and useful.

Great staff and perfect location just few minutes away from the city centre. And also, you can access to markets and malls within walking distance. The St David’s got many features like gym, cinema room, play room and many more which makes me feel very comfortable and makes me feel much like home.

It's a lovely place with lots of friendly people. With a large, welcoming team that is always willing to assist you with all of your needs. When I arrived on my first day, they showed us around the building which has a comfort place to socialize with your friends. They even make a Monday Movie Night in the mini cinema where they encourage all students to watch movies while enjoying the stay. Feelin like doing some workouts? They even do have gym facilities with complete equipment. St Davids Student Roost is a best place for you to start your student life in Swansea.

The place is amazing and a 5 min walk to lidls, with bus stops to both campuses right outside. It is also only a 10min walk from Wind Street as well as the city centre. Events are always going on in Roost itself, and the staff are always happy to help.
Honestly one of the best private student accommodations in Swansea. It has really nice common areas along with a really nice gym.

St David's is a very cost effective accomodation. Bringing the best price for an uni hall in the city. It is well located, next to UWTSD and with a bus stop right outside for Swansea University students. Really close to Parc Tawe, Sainsbury's, and reasonably close to the beach. Many different people live here, so there are plenty of opportunities to meet new people.

Stayed here for the duration of my university studies and it has been my home away from home. Staff have always been really helpful, very chatty and make sure we have opportunity to socials such as putting on events and getting us to engage with each other.

My experience at student roost st davids has been quite good. I was here on my first year and came back for my third. The common area is quite entertaining and the gym is nice too. Rooms are decent and flats include a kitchen to share between 5 flatmates. Overall a very good place to stay for 1 year students

A very friendly staff, working 24/7 to ensure the safety and comfort of students. It is located very close to all the connivence stores, easy to get around down. Approximately 5 minutes walk to the city centre. With value of money, the room is quite spacious and comfortable.

The accommodation is definitely on the expensive side. The staffs generally are very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to start off uni experience since it has great social spaces for students of all ages. It would be nice if each flat has its own hover though. Overall, the experience is good and the location is convenient. With one exception this year, I would suggest a review of an assistant manager's performance. She has not been helpful in many occasions to residents and carries the wrong understanding of what her role is toward clients. Yes, we are students but some of us are mature students and not kids. She should be mindful of her attitude and tone. Aside from that, the reception, security and cleaning staffs are very pleasant and are part of a great experience offered at Roost.

Accommodation is overall nice and very social with a few of the staff being really nice and helpful (can provide names if needed), however 80% of staff are rude, unhelpful and only care about if they get your money or not. You will probably receive about 20-30 phone calls mid year asking if you want to rebook even tho you tell them you don’t they carry on. They also brought 8 police officers, 2 security guards and 1 receptionist into our flat to shut down a “party” (which was only 5 residents sitting in a kitchen listening to music) during covid. They also failed to evacuate us from the building or even notify us when there had been a fire on the second floor which caused lots of smoke to fill stairway and lift to shut down and the fire brigade to attend. Good accommodation to meet people in your first year however management of this accommodation/ company really need to sort themselves out!!!!

the flats and rooms are really nice albeit very cheaply made and of not an amazing condition. it’s a really good location to town but difficult to get to either campus. but the real problem here is the staff. all of them act friendly but actually they’re passive aggressive and completely useless. if you have any maintenance issues, you have to ask at least 4 times before they’re fixed. I had problems with my first flatmates and despite providing them with a full report of how awful it was, they kept making excuses and acting like it wasn’t a big deal causing me to go home for 8 weeks whilst i was still paying rent. the main woman is horrible and none of the staff actually care about their residents only making money off of you. the facilities close all the time without warning and sometimes they access your flat to change/update things without telling you which is fine but a little weird to think someone is in my room without me knowing. it’s good here as long as you never have a issue

I’ve been staying at St. David Student Roost for a year, and have already rebooked. The location right next to the retail park is very ideal, and it’s only a short walk into the city centre. It’s very easy to get to and from the campus, with the bus stop right outside. Management has been very helpful, every time I’ve had any issues all I’ve had to do is ask and it’s solved. Would highly recommend

If the internet could be improved upon, as well as cleaning services, it would be much better...however, everything goes on well here.

DO NOT LIVE HERE I moved in to student roost for my first year of university, so far it has been a nightmare. The great social spaces that they advertise are nearly always closed without an explanation. Most of the staff members are happy to help you but unfortunately there is one that is passive aggressive, so much that you’d prefer not to ask for your mail. There is small amount of anti social behaviour, so roost decided to bring in security that guard the gates like a prison. Unfortunately, the staff care more about there processes than actually sorting issues out. They prefer to pick on individual students than tackling the groups that are causing big problems. Do not fall for “this is your home” this is a hell home.
I'm sorry to read that you're experience living with us has not been positive one. We had to introduce restrictions to some of our social spacess in line with government guidance to keep our residents as safe as possible throughout the last 18 months. Student Roost brought in additional team members throughout the pandemic to support our residents and increase the presence of our staff to in response to isolated COVID breaches and ensure that all of our residents continued to feel safe and looked after throughout the pandemic. I want to thank Saint David's team for making me feel during my first year of studies, safe and welcome; everytime that I am walking through or visiting reception there is always a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Their encouraging emails and the understanding quotes in the reception, makes the whole COVID situation much more sufferable.

Normally a great place. However, during the coronavirus pandemic, they have been dreadful! Refusing to cancel tenancys when people are stuck at home unable to get back, a real lack of empathy and understanding. Accommodations nearby including Bay Campus, offering cancellations for those returning home due to unprecedented times. Very disappointing
These are incredibly challenging times and we are doing everything we can to support our residents. Although our properties remain open and residents remain enrolled with their university, we do understand why many of you have chosen to move out of your accommodation to study online in your family home. As these are unprecedented circumstances, we have made an exception to our normal cancellation policy to support our residents. We will be cancelling residents’ payments from 1 May if you plan to move out, or have already moved out of your Roost home and will not be returning after the Easter break. To let us know you would like to do this, please email early.release@studentroost.co.uk. We are continuing to provide 24/7 support all our residents, including those who do not wish to, or cannot, move out of their student accommodation. We have consistently followed all NHS and government advice around COVID-19 (coronavirus) and will continue to do so, and have ensured continuity of vital services like broadband and receipt of deliveries, which is now more important than ever. We hope this helps provide some assurance in these difficult times.

Lovely place to live, so far. Absolutely worth the money. The bed's comfy, the view out my window is nice, the walls and floors are very soundproof. Staff are lovely. Internet occasionally goes off randomly but when it works it's very fast, enough for gaming and voice calling. There's a gym (not that I've been there, but I've heard it's good), laundry rooms (never busy!), and there's a Lidls literally three minutes away. They are extremely lenient if you have a problem paying rent or if there's been a problem with your loan. I specifically have a disabled room, and it's more than I could've hoped for. Loads of room so no tripping over or struggling to get past the desk or bed, everything's very accessible, and the bathroom has a special shower and enough bars that I can navigate no problem. Only downside is the fire alarms always get set off at like 3am the day before you have class. But I guess that's a safety thing too?

Public spaces are very well managed. The vending machines in social spaces need to be restocked more often. Reliability of the internet leaves a lot to be desired.

St David's is a great place to live whilst being at uni. It is located right near town which is convenient, as well as travel to both campuses are quick and easy. The social rooms and living space they provide is great to relax. the halls and rooms are very spacious.

Amazing facilities that make leaving home easier. Amazing staff that help with any issues that you may have. Great rooms and the kitchen. social hubs are something that makes making friends a lot easier. WiFi is brilliant in my room, can be slow in the kitchen and outside in the courtyard.

I moved here for my first year in university. i have had a great experience from meeting new friends within the accommodation social areas. You wouldn't expect a halls residence to be in such a high standard from the style to the cleanliness. Management are also supportive from dealing with rooms to helping with personal issues. Student Roost is a excellent place to live throughout the university years meeting a variety or people and a range of different experiences.

It’s my first year at uni and I fell in love with the place at an open day for UWTSD. Staff are friendly and always help to ensure we have good experiences. We also have social events and spaces where we can meet up with others in the comfort of our Accomodation - boosting my confidence loads especially since I can get very shy and anxious around others. couldn’t be happier here

Really friendly staff. Nice looking place. Bad WiFi. Uses Circuit laundry which is bad and expensive for what you get. Lots of previous damage to flats, some of which you won’t notice till after they require you to report so will try to fine you for it. Would recommend you, your flats mates and everyone how helps any of you move down check everything and write down the issues and once everyone has done so email with all the issues

My time here so far has been really enjoyable, everything is kept running really efficiently and I feel fortunate to have the social spaces that are available. In terms of value I that for what you get, it is extremely worth the money I paid especially with the Gold room.

the environment here is very good. the social aspect is good. water is not very fast draining but all else very good.

The place is very convenient for students, it is very safe place to leave as there is also security. The maintenance team is amazing, and they repair anything in less than 24 hours .

Very happy with stay. Amazing social spaces and a lot to do. Rooms are a good size and kitchen accommodates well. No issues with anything all year round, staff are really friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

A great student experience with all facilities included. However, there are some faults with pool table and occassional faults with wifi.

To begin with, the staff were very helpful; for example, before moving I was able to call the site multiple times with any queries or questions I had, and on the actual moving day the process was made way less stressful by the available information and staff members. To help residents get to know each other Student Roost held a "Welcome Party" and they even provided a bus and wristband for the most popular club in the area! It is efforts such as these that have made staying here worthwhile and more enjoyable. When the reception staff finish at 8. a security guard takes over and maintains the safety of all the residents. Rebooking my room has been made so much easier, and I wouldn't hesitate to live here for the entirety of my university career- especially when considering the fact that Student Roost is slightly cheaper than staying on campus (as a Swansea University student).

Made good friends here! In the beginning of the year everyone was really friendly, at the end of the year they didn't care anymore and the staff reacts really rude. They don't help with communication and don't give an entry notice in time. They can give a harsh comment if you ask for help or something doesn't go how they want it. Lift broke down and they didn't give any updates. They defend it was only for sone weeks but in the end we didn't have a lift for almost 2 months. In the end they didn't care anymore. Wifi is also really bad and cuts out almost every day. A lot of noise in the courtyard and the security doesn't do anything about it cause they are too busy watching youtube on their phone. In the end they didn't give as much freebies anymore and no free breakfast anymore. Too expensive.

Had nothing but problems here since I've moved in. It's in a great location but the staff need to pay more attention to serious issues going on within their accommodation.

Alright place, staff is quite nice but head manager says to his staff that they can't be close with their tenants to talk to them about stuff. Good location, but a bit overpriced for the services (washingmachines, lift breaks down and don't fix it). Loud in the courtyard at night (it can be loud on a student night, but they should keep it in hand).

Very nice place to live. Good room with enough space, big wardrobe, plenty of shelves including lovely ones near bed, very nice bathroom. Staff are amazing, very helpful. A bit pricy, but worth it. Very close to centre, Lidl is just in a minute of walking. Overall great place for students to live!

I rate the hall management one star because as I was booking on for next year with a £200 off deal, they reassured me it would be easy to cancel if I successfully got a YII placement as long as I cancelled before July and they still said that the day I booked. March I successfully got a placement sorted, but I couldn't cancel my contract for next year because the policies had changed half way through this deal and multiple staff kept relaying me incorrect information and has now caused me even more stress to find someone to replace my contract on top of assignments and exams as I have no time to. I read all the policies last year and was completely unaware they changed. The amount of money you're paying, you'd think that someone would take out the bins and go over the kitchen or at least make sure the kitchen is clean every once a week but only the entrance to the block and lift are cleaned. The good points: 24 hour security, amazing social spaces and 24 hour parcel pick up.

st Davids offer a good value for money student accommodation having all of the bills and WiFi included in the price not only makes life simpler but also saves me time while i'm studying .

Living in St David’s is great. There are social events that are amazing and the staff are so lovely. I love my flat and the facilities as well. I didn’t consider moving into a house for my second year, I rebooked my room instead.

Overall, solid accomodation, however, and this is only my experience, you can be made to feel uncomfortable at times by other people, esspecially for someone like me who gets anxious easily.

I really love living at St. David’s! The team are all so friendly and welcoming, hosting a variety of events suitable for everyone! The halls are so close to everything that you need mike uni campuses, the train station, bus stations, shops and supermarkets to get food! The city centre is a short five to ten minute walk, making it super easy for students to be sociable. We are also surrounded by lots of beaches and nature trails so we can go for walks! St David’s is awesome!

Best part of st davids is the events they put on! Game nights monthly and film nights every now and then are a great way to make friends with people that aren't in your flat
