This is my second year at seren and I have nothing bad to say! The prices I believe is worth it, especially when the staff work tirelessly for us! The location is ideal after a long travel by train, there is a tesco express located below so convenience shopping is easy, however for a full food shop aldi is a 7 minute walk, a big tesco and sainsbury’s is a 10 minute walk. The social areas inside seren are large so offer a place to study and meet new people when events are hosted! I cannot fault the staff either with their friendliness and enthusiasm for wanting the best for the residents. Staff also are super accommodating to my part time job and always greet me either when i finish or before i head out! Feels like a home away from home!

At Seren we plan events for our students in the social spaces which all of our residents are invited to, these are planned on differents dates throught the year and the event is advertised on our social media. There are also quiet spaces for study and in general is a quiet building.

Hi, for those who have a cluster ensuite bedroom, I see from the photos that the desk was cut off by the corner of the room next to the window, and it doesn't seem to have a big enough workspace. Is the set of drawers movable please to move to the other side of the desk where the corner has been chopped off in order to have more workspace on the desk? Thanks.

Since coming to Seren Accommodation within Swansea, I have found it very easy to socialise and engage within social opportunities provided to students throughout the accommodation. Being located across the road from a train station and a bus stop leading directly to the University Campuses has meant it has been accessible to continue my studies and throw myself into society events and study sessions where necessary whilst also keeping up with lectures. The facilities at Seren have been amazing and are a contributing reason to my consideration to rebook for my next year of study, with amenities ranging from the courtyard, to the pool table, I have felt privileged to socialise and entertain myself with what is provided. Additionally, the living spaces and facilities within my kitchen are impressive and straight-forward to use with the building’s cleanliness promoting a hygienic atmosphere. I would personally recommend Seren to any aspiring student who is coming to Swansea to study.

For a start, the staff are lovely! After a discussion where I mentioned I have ASD, the lady showing me around took me to a room that was still available and suited all my needs perfectly, and after saying how much I loved it she helped to ensure I would get that specific room so I would feel more comfortable and they always check on their residents. The view from my room is amazing and having large windows to let in natural light really helps with my mental health. All the amenities in the room are of amazing quality. The bed is soft and large, the kitchenette is clean and has good appliances and the bathroom is clean and perfect for students. Finally the social spaces are perfect for students. Every area is clean and well decorated! It provides areas for students to socialise with friends and even fellow residents of Seren during their planned social events. I honestly cannot recommend Seren enough to people!

I’m now in my second year staying at Seren accommodation and I am so glad I ended up being put here by the university in first year. Seren is a wonderful place with many different room options and great facilities like a cinema room, gaming room and more. Seren hosts many events and combined with a friendly and helpful staff, it makes staying here a wonderful university experience.

Initially people may think the pricing is quite steep however the comfort you receive and the access so a lot of things is what u would all well worth the price. And the staff are absolutely lovely as well always willing to help and always there to protect your parcels as well 😂

There may be some miscommunication between staff since we were told at the start of the year that we would get our deposits back, but these were never returned to us and then they said they are part of the rent we pay. Quite a let down. Also, we were banned for football in the courtyard because some other students broke a window playing cricket, which felt unfair as we were careful not to cause any damage

To clarify our deposit system, the £100 deposit paid to secure your room forms an advance of your rental payments, and therefore is not refundable at the end of your tenancy as it was taken off your rent payments earlier in the year. All payment schedules are clearly set out in our tenancy agreements. Our private courtyard is exclusively for use of all residents to enjoy the outside space, and we try our best to make it enjoyable and safe for everyone. Overall Seren Swansea was a 10/10, The initial room prices may look steep but after my stay at Seren I can truly say it was worth it. Seren Swansea is conveniently located above a Tesco's express which makes food shopping easy. Located across the road from Seren is Swansea train station which is very convenient after a long commute. Seren Swansea has a large social area which is great for studying and socialising. The team of at Seren are very bubbly and supportive. Thank you Robbie for the warm welcome and a great tour around the facilities. Living in Seren was absolute hell for me and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The manager got my boyfriend arrested due to a small argument we had after a night out. I had spoke with the manager the day after it happened saying I did not want police involved. She said if I changed my mind, I must let her know first. Not long after this he was arrested in Seren and I wasn't told anything. After this, police were coming to my flat on multiple occasions without any warning. They also went into my room whilst I wasn't there. I never felt safe even though I was being told it was being done for my safety. I had no choice but to move out early, drop out of uni and move home because of how bad my mental health was. They ruined my life and my relationship and then I never heard from them again! They only care about their jobs and reputation! Not students mental health!!!

As this matter is still safely in the hands of the police our comments on this have to remain appropriately brief, but I’d like to take the opportunity to highlight whilst your comments aren’t entirely accurate, all staff at Seren are trained to intervene in matters that raise serious welfare concerns, as was the case with this particular incident. The details were passed to police as per our duty of care, and on the advice of the University welfare teams with whom we work closely in order to support and protect our residents. Any subsequent action taken by the police is, of course, and we are duty bound to allow them to undertake any investigatory actions that may be required.
Seren is a wonderful place to live as a university student. First off, the location is absolutely amazing. The train station is situated right next to the accommodation, and the shops and bus station are only a 10 minute walk away. It is also only a 15 - 20 minute direct bus journey to singleton campus. The accommodation itself is very modern and inviting. The staff are very, very friendly and are always available to help if someone is in need. There are lots of communal spaces - the study space is great for concentration and super comfortable, the gym is great too! (Just to mention, Seren is a really great place for socialising). As for the room, the Cluster En-suite is lovely- it comes with a tv, lots and lots of storage space, very comfy bed, nice spacious desk, and is overall really good quality for money. Seren has been a great place to live as a first year student and I’d recommend it to anyone who is coming to study at Swansea next year! :)

I took a 52 week tenancy and got the price any student can get. It’s a great place to stay, comfortable rooms and great communal area. Your weekend won’t be boring as there are activities and celebrations all around the month. Love how seren hosts each festival making it inclusive for international students and there is NO discrimination. I had exams and there was breakfast served for students which saved us time and money. Would have definitely booked it for next year, unfortunately will not be a student anymore. P.S: great help from the reception and everyone is friendly (left my key in my room a thousand times and yet they are always kind to open the door without making a fuss)

When I first moved into the accommodation, everything that was promised was given. From social events to facilities and cleanliness. However, this quickly changed once you had settled in and your money was gone. Over the last few months, I haven't been able to get in a lift without it being sticky and outright disgusting. I always see cleaning staff around, but nothing is ever clean. Staff are generally rude in most cases, bar a few, with some just opting to make students clearly uncomfortable. Events quickly dried up after the first month or two, with the frequency of events becoming a complete lie. Wifi is generally good, tends to kick you off randomly though. Many broken promises and lies.
The apartment has a gym, laundry room, free breakfast on weekdays, and plenty of activity areas.
I love everything here. It's a great place! I live here in the studio, which is the best experience.

It is an amazing place that you can actually feel like home. Never had a problem with managing any difficulties and all of the stuff members are sure friendly. Moreover the 24h security really makes a difference with one feeling safe. Train station which is 3 mins away is perfect for those who like to run late.

Way way too expensive for what it offers. Seems like the standard renting experience anywhere in the UK. But Swansea used to be good value and financially accessible.
It is a great student friendly place with all the great comforts provided by them, but the price is also bit high for students who rely on education loans and for those who doesnt have part time jobs.
It is a very lovely place to live. Location wise I honestly could not think of a better place to live being 2 steps away from the train station and 30 steps from wind street. Links to both campuses is amazing and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The facilities here are fantastic with amazing amenities such as a karaoke room and a cinema. I simply would come again!

Accomodation is located by the train station, which is handy if you usually head out to different places and the town centre is 10 mins away by foot. Staff on-site are really nice and kind and the rooms are reasonably priced with multiple options available for each room.

Beautiful building located in the heart of swansea conviently situated next to the train station and city centre just a short walk away from popular hotspots such as wind street, it has great socials spaces such as study offices, pool room, games room and my personal favourite the karaoke room. Also beautiful views from the higher floors of the city and the beach and a wonderful friendly staff which can assist you with any problems you may have.

My experience living at Seren has been an exceptionally positive one. I was assigned a rep that helped me to select a room tailored to my specific needs. The attendants at the reception are always accessible and consistently helpful. The location is excellent, walking distance from the city centre, my university campus, and adjacent to the train station (this is especially convenient because my commute is less hectic given this proximity). The property management is responsive and efficient, my maintenance requests are dealt with auspiciously and appropriately, the building is routinely cleaned and offers an unending level of security. I am particularly happy about the student facilities I have access to while living here, a Karaoke room, cinema, gym, study space, gaming room, tesco express and greggs. I absolutely love the social events hosted by the building, they always include us in activities that allow for interaction with other students living here. I will always recommend !
