Very good environment, with a beach side

The teaching quality is fantastic.
My experience here has been amazing! They take meticulous steps in understanding the needs of their students. The staffs are always gentle, kind and open to all reasonable questions. Special credits to the international compliance team who had have guided their international student crowd with valuable information on numerous topics. The modules for my current course are extremely content intensive and challenges their students to jump over their potential and become some of the best engineers out there. The grading system is reasonable. one constructive criticism I could input on this would be to allow students to have access to their exam answer sheets post correction. This would give a majority to identify and understand from their errors, potentially avoiding such mistakes in the future assessments. To add, the mental health support team does extraordinary work when it comes to being patient, understanding and acknowledging the voice of each student. Overall, a brilliant UNI!
A slightly outdated campus, but good range of facilities & supportive staff
I'm glad I chose Swansea University. Coming from a rough area, Swansea has been a pleasant change with its peaceful environment and inclusivity. The campus is really lovely with the beachfront view and the staff are kind aswell. Living on campus for my first year was good but there could be more facilities on campus other than the small tesco. But overall there's not much to complain and I think that's a sign of a good experience. I'm not the best at reviews to be honest but Swansea University has shown me there's a lot of the world still left to see and hopefully they can be as pleasant as Swansea has been for me.
Came to study in Swansea in 2022 and really enjoyed the city and the university with its library by the sea and friendly staff and lecturers. Very intense pace of study but gave lots of challenges. 2023 was my second year at university and I learnt more in depth and got to know lots of interesting content. For example, I learnt about game theory and databases, and it felt like the process of learning was also learning about history and exploring what people had researched before. This year is the last year of university and begins a stage in my life where I have to choose between working or continuing my studies. The university has given a lot of help such as help with writing CVs, and many meetings to help students.
Has a very good base for current events, has a great ability to improve facilities and has the potential to become one of the the UK’s top universities
