Lectures are good and practicals, student union is really good
Issues with spending and how individual course run
Love Plymouth! So many opportunities, sports, societies! And great facilities too!
lectures are great. The student union has improved since it was re done and everyone's always friendly.
So glad I chose Plymouth uni! An amazing feel, and the campus is in the middle of the cit. Great place to live and go to Uni
If you want to do a geography or environment related course, this is THE place to be I think. The facilities are excellent and the department has an excellent, well-deserved reputation and I'm proud to be an environmental science student there. But the uni itself? If you are okay with the management spending £100,000 on a few graduation chairs and a further £300,000 on essentially a giant photo frame and are okay with rip-off halls then you will be right at home. Also, if this is the most sustainable uni in the UK, what on earth are the least sustainable ones like!?
Wifi is shocking. Love everything else. Great at wasting money
brilliant university, beautiful location in England also
Lovely campus, really friendly, but there could be more societies to choose from (although there is opportunity to set up your own), as there are several things I wanted to do but haven't been able to do. The wifi is generally good across campus, but I live in the student village and am unable to get wifi in my room without plugging into the ethernet (so I can't get on my phone's internet without going into the kitchen!).
The University Football Club is awful. They take your money and then don't really care if you're not good enough for one of the main teams. The staff are quite good, not great though. The SU isn't great, not particularly well loved from what I can tell. The WiFi on campus is OK sometimes, accommodation WiFi is annoying due to going down after every 10 minutes at times, and it is often labelled as 'limited'.
