I’m currently studying at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), and it’s been such a rewarding experience! The campus is vibrant, modern, and offers everything I need to succeed. Whether it’s state-of-the-art lecture halls, library facilities, or tech support, LJMU provides top-notch resources that help me stay on top of my studies. The campus is centrally located, which makes it super convenient to get around Liverpool. I can easily access all the local shops, restaurants, and public transport options, which is a huge plus for both academic and social life. The university also offers a variety of student support services, from academic assistance to mental health and career guidance, making me feel truly supported during my time here. The professors are approachable and really passionate about their subjects, which makes classes engaging and motivating.

Marybone is a cheap and reliable place to stay at and is sociable however maintenance could be a bit better with broken things
I haven’t used much around campus but everything I have seen or heard about is excellent. Especially the sports facilities
The clubs and societies are truly brilliant every week is a different story, it truly feels like a holiday going out on Wednesdays

Liverpool John moores university is a very good university , to be honest it offered me a lot of attention and care and support, it really supports me through my financial difficulties. The professor are nice even though sometimes they can skip some stuff.

LJMU for me has been great so far, I settled in straight away and am enjoying my studies. The toilets are always clean, the Starbucks and other cafe are perfect. I would just like a few more societies as options.
The best uni! I can't believe how much I have loved being here! It's been an amazing couple of months so far and the knowledge and experience I have gained already is incredible. The support and help I can relieve from the uni is amazing and goes a long way
Internet usually doesn’t work,
The campus is very easy to get around. It’s very close the city and the university buildings are always really clean

The university is really lovely as the facilities are all very new and the career facilities and lectures are really lovely!! If you are doing software engineering I’d recommend as the module leaders are very information and knowledgable
It is a good worth university with good facilities not only for education but for social and health services.It also provides mental health counseling with an excellent counselor.
Great service, privacy and security is also maintained well.
Honestly no complaints. My tutors are always helpful. I would say it'd be nice to have a pool as we do not have one at the moment

As an international student that came from kazakhstan it’s quite a welcoming and friendly environment to study in LJMU, with a lot of clubs and societies to offer, wide range of activities and events hosted and plenty of well-being support from faculty it gives comfort for someone who is so far from home and someone who might feel alone.
LJMU has offered me a wonderful university experience in only the span of a few months, the staff are absolutely lovely and have been nothing but supportive, and the courses are challenging and informative. After just sitting an exam, I am pleased with how well everything was organised and all requirements were put into place. A very friendly atmosphere, and excellent facilities.

facilities are very good, very spacious library, student life building with the student union is a walkable distance from the three campuses so can be easily accessed. there are lots of clubs and societies to join whatever your interests are
It was the best choice for me. Ive made so many friends and the learning environment is great including the SLB. Its a place that you can go for help and excellent for revision and doing work.
I love my university so much I am planning on staying for another year to complete my masters I have had such a wonderful experience from the beginning I truly cannot thank LJMU enough for their amazing facilities and support.

A fun university with lots of social experiences on offer
The facilities are LJMU are always up to standard and easy accessible, there are many different clubs and society’s, if you don’t want to join a club or society but still want to make friends there are lots of different activities that the student union supply, some are free and some cost but at a significant discount, such as a trip to alton towers, student bingo and alpaca walking! My only complaint about LJMU is related to my course only as it has been unorganised due to having three different course leaders for the past two years leading to lots of different course changes.

I’ve had an amazing time studying at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). The university offers a great mix of practical learning and academic rigor. The courses are well-designed with a real-world focus, especially in areas like business, healthcare, and engineering. The lecturers are approachable, and they really know their stuff, which made a big difference in my learning experience. The campus itself is modern and well-equipped, and it’s located right in the heart of Liverpool, which is a fantastic city for students. Whether you’re into culture, music, or sports, there’s always something going on. The city feels very student-friendly and has a great mix of things to do, both on and off-campus. What really stands out, though, is the level of support LJMU offers. There are loads of resources for academic help, career advice, and personal well-being. The university feels very inclusive, and the staff is always there to help when you need it.
good university with good teaching and facilities especially for creative courses
Mental health services are really good, some teachers do not teach for students to learn academically, they read from a PowerPoint which does not help you learn and when you ask help from said teacher you get a look of disgust as if you’re not supposed to be there. But overall I’m enjoying my time at university and the course I’m doing.
Overall a great uni, never had any issues. Staff are so supportive and kind and all buildings are built beautifully with equipment for all students.

I love LJMU it's made me a better person academically and mentally. I have discovered so many amazing people, opportunities and life lessons and decided on such an amazing career in Audio and video forensics. LJMU has opened so many door for me and made my academic journey more fulfilling and worth while. I feel confident and so sure of myself more than any time of my life and that's because I went to such an amazing university. I have life long friends and experiences I will never forget. I wish it didn't go by so quickly because I would do it all over again 100 times.

Everything about the student accommodation is perfect, all the staff are so helpful at any time of the day, I’ve already rebooked for next year and can’t wait for the winter ball that there throwing for us. It’s so easy to get to university from here and the facilities like the gym, pool table and darts are so good.

Ljmu is a brilliant university as it helped me be more social as well giving me the courage to go out of my way and talk and meet great people who have made the experience so welcoming and wonderful. It’s a central uni, just not much available on Byrom street campus.
Both campuses are close to many amenities and both have on-site facilities including subject specific facilities, food outlets and a library. While our Student Life Building and Sports Building are located closer to our Mount Pleasant Campus teaching buildings, these facilities are open to all LJMU students and are within walking distance of both campuses. Thank you for your valuable feedback. We have recently opened a new social area at Byrom Street, with increased presence from our careers and student support services, and we are continually developing our estate to enhance our facilities.
Glide is a little silly at times, like being down for periods of time or not allowing discord to work Julia, Paul and Will are fantastic - they make me very happy and my day awesome every time we chat!!

Good university not far out from the centre
