Fontenoy is an amazing place to live. The studios are actually large and spacious (the website isn't lying) and kitchen appliances are all relatively new and easy to use. Each room has a large, well-placed SmartTV which is great for a chill night in or just listening to music. I don't know whether the walls between rooms are sound-proofed at all but you certainly can't hear everything your neighbours are saying, it's pretty quiet which is great. The shared spaces are really high quality too, a gym with plenty of equipment, a luxurious lounge with a bar space which gets used for events, a games room with another TV, and really well maintained and decorated shared kitchen-diner for hosting groups. The staff are absolutely lovely too, super helpful, kind, and learn get to know the residents well even if you aren't very talkative or extroverted. Would highly recommend living here if it's within your budget.

I moved here in September and have already re-booked for next year. This accommodation is so clean, spacious, it isn't loud, and is located in a great area. the staff is so friendly and helpful, and make you feel welcomed upon arrival. It is worth the value. I go to the University of Liverpool which is about a 20-minute walk, but the bus station is just a 5 minute walk from the accommodation so it's easy and comfortable. The location is central which is ideal for nights out or for shopping, and just being connected overall. The internet is great, the views from my window are lovely, and the gym has all you need. It's modern and the best accommodation I've stayed in so far.
I'm a Second Year student and moved here in September and I can safely say that Fontenoy Apartments is a great choice!! The LJMU City campus is right across the road so it's a very short walk. The mount pleasant campus is about 20 minutes and it takes 10 minutes to walk to Lime street station/town centre, so it is a perfect location. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and definitely spacious, and the rooms even come with a 32 inch TV which is excellent. There is also alot of storage and the bed is quite comfy. If you're looking for a spacious, safe and secure, quiet studio then this is the accomodation for you :))
Best accomadation! Convenient to the city center and university.
Location is right next to some LJMU buildings and a short walk from others, it is also close to Lime Street Station and Liverpool ONE, which is useful. Reception staff are great. Rooms are all studios so the social aspect requires more agency on the part of the student, but the accommodation regularly runs events so people can interact more.

I have lived here for just over a month now and was slightly nervous at first not living in halls my first year but I shouldn’t have been! The room is gorgeous and such good value for money beds comfortable and all problems we’ve had since being here have always had a solution! It provides you with privacy while also giving you the option to socialise in the games room and commons area! The gym is also very handy as it has all your necessities! And not only that the staff are extremely lovely! I would recommend to anybody wanting a more private accommodation!

Staff are helpful when you need assistance. Noise isn't an issue at all. The building is regularly cleaned to a high standard. The games room has enough to keep you occupied. The gym, social areas and cinema add to the experience well.

Modern, comfy rooms.. perfect studio flat made into my perfect university home. Never felt so at home in a single room! Facilities are great and location being just outside the centre feels safe but also convenient.

The studios are amazing facilities and the locations is great. There could be more access to cleaning supplies like hoozers as i dont know where they are meant to be. But all in all great place to live

I have been living here since my first year of the university and this is my fourth year now, I have never thought about change a property cause I can guarantee you this is the best student accomplishment you can ever find in Liverpool. The room is spacious also encompassing all the basic equipment (oven, TV and a small coach) and because it’s studio it provides maximum privacy. The property itself is very clean, with free gym, gaming room and common area. The stuff here is nice and friendly. I highly recommend everyone who consider an student accommodation in Liverpool to book a viewing here, and you won’t regret.

Very friendly staff who are happy to help with anything and also great facilities throughout the building plus regular maintenance!
Not once since moving into this building this year have I had a positive experience, there is no security as the company refuses to pay for it so don’t forget your key because if you get locked out you’ll get charged a £48 call out fee !! amazing. The staff are ever changing and not one seems to know what is going on, my window has also been broke (it doesn’t close) since moving in and after multiple emails to the management and promises of it being fixed nothing has been done. The communal areas do not offer what you are enticed by on the ads so you better not want to play table tennis because such an amenity has never existed, the cinema room which they highly advertise? you guessed it, hasn’t worked since moving in oh and there is a gym but only if you feel safe enough to go in there since there has been so many break ins, multiple homeless people have been found in the stairwells and in the toilets and they even got away with a tv.

The best accommodation i’ve stayed in by far - in my third year now and i’ve picked the best place to finish uni in. Special mention to Cara and Eddie who are always smiling and will do anything in their power to help if you have a problem. And thank you to Jimmy for fixing my heater very quickly!
Complete Hell & Unsafe I am currently in my second semester living at fontenoy and it’s been utter hell for many of the residents. Firstly - Many of us had faulty appliances including cookers, heating and fridges which took weeks to be fixed - The building does not have 24 hour security which has resulted in homeless people entering the building and sleeping in corridors and communal areas with evidence of drugs being found. This has made it completely unsafe for residents. The TV in the gym was also stolen by and intruder. -There has been no social events whatsoever ever only ones hosted by the residents themselves. - The staff have a high turnover. Many staff members have left due to frustration with their superiors. Although the staff are very friendly and helpful they can only do what’s within their power. This means that from 9-5 the building is secure but after that we are left on our own. -complaints get no response This is daylight robbery.
I started university this September and chose to stay in this student accommodation. So far I have had the best experience, the receptionist Eddy is superb along with the rest of the staff, very welcoming and always happy to assist with anything. Whenever I have had an issue with an appliance in my room, finding something or struggling to do something the staff here are always willing to help straight away. The pricing for the studios is great and the rooms are also very spacious. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying in accommodation!

Living in Fontenoy Apartments is a great experience that renews every day. I would say it is the number one students' accommodation regarding the location and the overview. 5 minutes and you will be inside the city campus of LJMU. The size of my studio and the smart way of furnituring, give a sufficient place and space, it is just as perfect as it should be for me. Fontenoy current management team are so lovely, you'll always find them smiling, greeting and chatting with you whenever you wanted to. In addition to their fast response to emails or any concern anyone might have. Moneywise, Fontenoy is not as cheap as other accommodations, right!. But you can find many benefits that make it worth that cost. I am really so pleased by the place i live in, and i feel that every single day.

Fontenoy Apartments is the best student accommodation I’ve stayed in (I’m a PhD student so I’ve stayed in quite a few!). It is one of the most inexpensive options to live in a self-contained, high quality studio in Liverpool city centre. Fontenoy provides a mature and relaxed environment to wind down after a long day. The faculties are brilliant - high spec kitchen equipment, good water pressure in the bathroom, comfy 3/4 bed, tv, plenty of light (although I’d say Premium studios are just big enough for one person). The aesthetics in both the rooms and common spaces (which include cinema room, games room etc) are lovely. The staff are also so lovely - especially Lauren and Joe who are so helpful and friendly with any queries I have. I feel totally secure as all doors have keycard access. There is a great mix of postgrads vs undergrads, local vs international students so it’s a massively social and diverse environment. Would thoroughly recommend!

The location is brilliant. A 5 minute walk to my campus is as good as it gets. Liverpool One is just down the road and all the nightlife is just a short walk. Lime street station is 5 minutes away along with the bus station so getting anywhere is easy. The staff and management are exceptional. 100% friendly and understanding. As far as maintenance any slight inconvenience is sorted instantly by the staff with no hesitation. The rooms are luxury, spacious and warm with plenty of storage space. All social areas are amazing and kept in pristine conditions. The bar is perfect for the accommodation social events or to invite a few friends over. The communal kitchen is great to have a group dinner with some friends. The cinema room is warm and cosy. The people who stay here are brilliant, a great set of friends to have who are really outgoing and genuine. The building is secure with multiple key entries to ensure the safety of those who stay here.

I am really enjoying staying in Fontenoy, it is a home from home. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. As well as having our own spacious room which are private there is a good social side where the apartments hold events to get the students together which is a lovely atmosphere. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone and couldn't imagine living anywhere else during my time in university

I love living in Fontenoy. I am a PGCE student and I was looking for a quiet studio in a safe location. This place is just perfect. I feel so safe and I really appreciate having Lauren, Joanne and Joe in reception who are always able to offer great help or advice if it's needed. The accommodation is in a great location and is close by to all local amenities. I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends. I'll be sad to leave my studio when I finish my studying in June. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

I LOVE living here at Fontenoy. Gives me the feel of living independently while having different opportunities to socialise with others living in the building. I would recommend this place to everyone. The studios are all really nice and mean that you get your own space to chill and wind down. But there’s also more social spaces and with the events they throw there is never a lack of something to do! There are great freebies like the Friday breakfasts, and the gym is free and has a nice selection of dumbbells. The location is perfect, it’s close to the central library for studying and also to town and campus. The staff are so wonderful and kind in this place and are always willing to help you out. 10/10

After a change in management this accommodation is fantastic. It is great value for money and your weekly rent includes the use of the gym, lounge area, the two private study rooms, games room, dining room and the cinema room. You can tell how much effort all of the staff put in for holidays and events and are all welcoming and friendly. My only critique is that there is no reception on Saturday and Sunday but it hasn’t really affected me as you wouldn’t have a reception at all if you lived in a student house/flat.

Really enjoyed living here so far. They were able to organise short notice, short term accommodation for myself upon returning to uni in Liverpool. The accommodation is in the perfect location, only 5 minutes walk to both the town centre and my uni buildings. The room is lovely, modern and always warm. Nice modern kitchen, only problem I had was that I did not know the hob was an induction hob and so had to buy additional pans. Staff were really helpful and even offered for me to use the property pans until delivery of my own. The property allows for parcel delivery and staff will store parcels until you collect. Joe the maintenance guy is really quick to fix or change anything if necessary. There’s several social areas all of which have different features, the gym is small but has all the equipment necessary to complete a workout. The WIFI is the quickest I've experienced in student accommodation. I would highly recommend living here if you like your own space in student living.

I've really enjoyed living here so far. My room is comfy and came with a TV on the wall opposite the bed which is really nice for movies, the kitchen is really modern and the bathroom looks nice. The WIFI is the fastest I've ever experienced as well which has been a luxury. And to top it all off the location is great, being really close to St. Johns Market which means you're close to pretty much everything in town. I would highly recommend living here.

Fontenoy apartment is a great place to stay with nice and friendly staff as well as the term time residents. It’s located at the very center of the city therefore most of the things I would need or want are mostly close by. The staff have also been interacting with the students during the pandemic.

Fontenoy Apartments have most affordable studios in Central Liverpool. For the price you pay you’ll be glad to stay here. The reception staff are nice always have a smile, the Maintenance guy is the best! Whatever problem you have he’ll be more than happy to help and have a lovely conversation with you. The communal areas are always spot on thanks to the cleaner who’s in often! The studios themselves are very spacious and come with all the basics you’d expect. Very sleek design and comfortable beds. Would definitely rebook here.

Live here with my boyfriend & it's really lovely. Everything you need in a room & exactly like what we expected. Really like that there is the gym too with all the basics & a good booking system. Onsite manager are lovely, very helpful with anything you need & there are student wardens for our of office hours if you need any help. Would recommend as it's a good location too.

An amazing place to live! Rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. The staff are all lovely and there's always things going on to get involved in. The building has various different areas for students like a cinema, gym, dining area and multiple study rooms. Location is great, only a 5 minute walk to the centre. The best accommodation I've stayed in!

This is the best accommodation I have seen so far in Liverpool. It is located in a great area, 5 mins away from the Albert dock, the Lime station and the Liverpool one shopping mall. Right across the street is the world museum and the library, easy access to all facilities and is quiet during the night. The accommodation also has gaming room, gym, common space and cinema room for socialise.The room is the best thing about this accommodation, 5 different studio room type satisfies your own needs, every room is furnished in a modern style, 2 giant French windows provides you a great view and sufficient sunlight. Room comes with a huge TV and multiple shelves for storage, if you go to the website you can see the room pictures and it’s layout. * The room is way spacious than you see in the picture!! I was surprised when I first moved here.

It’s a great accommodation with great maintenance staff. Very helpful staff which are always ready to accommodate. It has good gym and it’s a very clean place.

- Best value for money accommodation I was able to find & hopefully price freeze and many offers will always be available! - Best student accommodation location by far (univeristy, shops & city attractions are all 5-15 mins away) - Upmarket accommodation design in all areas of the building & it’s studios only, so a quiet accommodation - Lovely new & old staff, and they keep improving the facillities - Nice current offers available (e.g. NHS £300 discount for healthcare students) - Flexibility with contracts (44 or 51 weeks or short stays) and being able to leave stuff over the summer even for 44 week contracts if the room is re-booked - Overall larger studio sizes compared to most of the other student accommodations - Great facilities, including cinema, gym, dining room (to have friends/family over once the restrictions lift) & soon a pool table! There are also private study rooms and 3 social areas (including some outdoor benches). Best student accommodatiom available!

Staff are really nice and make an effort to organise activities for us on a regular basis. The decor of the rooms and social spaces is really nice. Unfortunately due to covid we've been mostly unable to use the social spaces, but in a normal world these would be great! I'd say my only real issue is only being able to open the window 1" as the rooms are prone to overheating in direct light and you just can't ventilate (we had a heatwave in September and it was unbearable being in the rooms) but this is more an issue with the building itself rather than management.

An absolutely lovely place to live! The staff are very kind and welcoming, they will help you with anything that you need. The accommodation itself is lovely and the atmosphere here is amazing! I’m very happy with my room and the other facilities such as the gym, cinema room and bar area- everything looks exactly like the online pictures! The location is also perfect, a 5 minute walk from the city centre. I’m very very happy and would highly recommend this student accommodation.

Extremely Friendly onsight management team who do everything they can to help. Any issues are quickly resolved and the maintenance team is very quick to respond. Wardens within the building are also very friendly and effective when management isn't present which is a big help. Social areas are very well kept and theres often a range of activities held to get the students involved and socializing. Covid regulations are also strictly adhered too which adds a sense of safety to the building. I've moved here for a year from abroad and can honestly say I've had a great time in this student accommodation and have felt at home since the first day I moved in. One other positive is it's a stone through away from city centre and very close to both the bus and train stations which is useful when travelling to Uni. For the price we pay I would definitely say its value for money all things considered! I would highly recommend this accommodation to any students who are unsure on a place to stay.

This is an amazing place to live in and it is extremely peaceful. It has all facilities and the management staffs are so friendly and very helpful. I feel so safe here and highly recommend students to live here. Besides, they have many activities going on here and students can take part if they need something refreshing to start their day. Apartments are very clean as well.

Shocked to see the amount of negative reviews on this accommodation when I couldn’t think of anything bad to say about it..I’ve been living here since July and got welcomed by the two new staff at the front desk who were incredible to my partner and I. Because nobody else had moved in yet they let me pick my own room with the view i liked the most, offered us some Prosecco on entry and replied to every email I had almost immediately. I cannot imagine the amount of stress the staff must be in under in these un-foreseen circumstances we are in yet everytime I walk in they welcome me in and ask about my day and always open to giving me recommendations of where to go in town. We are lucky we have them as they’re locals as well which means they have all the best kept local secret-locations google wouldn’t give you when you move into a new city! Due to coronavirus they offered me 2 months free during summer to which helped me out enormously as I felt more settled down before online universit

Overall very friendly and helpful!! And a beautiful place, I fell in love with my flat from the minute I saw it online. The internet speed is fantastic (important for me as I play CoD with my family). Overall a lovely place to live, and though management is a bit new, and we’ve had a few hiccups, theyre very very kind and understanding and helpful!

Stayed here since September 2018 when starting University as well as over the Summer periods. Enjoyed every part of the experience so far, with its location, views, as well as the spacious rooms themselves. Social areas when available are easy to use, always cleaned and well looked after by others as well as fun for all guests from the cinema room, on site gym and lounge rooms. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful with on site maintenance who are always happy to help with any issues. Would definitely recommend to those looking at somewhere spacious to stay right in the centre of the student district with University buildings and library’s around the corner with the city centre also a quick walk away. Would definitely give a 5 star rating overall. Will definitely be rebooking again soon for the final year.
