Best Accomodation in Liverpool by far. Right in the centre of the city opposite Lime Street Station so only 5 mins walk to Concert Square and 10 mins to Liverpool One. Staying in this accom for my 3rd year in a row in September.

Amazing location with everything you could need on ur doorstep and 5 mins from JMU, nice social spaces but the gym onsite could be opened up considering the price of nearly £200pw. Lifts are regularly broken which causes long queues up to 15 minutes, with shopping or other things on your person this is uncomfortable and walking up 17 flights is unacceptable (due to price and principle). There could only be 1 lift on for a whole week supporting an accommodation block of nearly 600 people, which is not what is expected paying near £800 a month. All of the younger staff are lovely, approachable and friendly and can have laugh and conversation with them, however, a handful of the older staff are rude and blunt and don’t even look up from their computer screens when speaking to you. This has dampened my overall opinion on the accommodation itself, due to lack of urgency of lift maintenance (god forbid you ask when it’s going to be fixed). Horizon heights is located perfectly for any students attending either university in Liverpool, 2min walk to big shops with a Tesco extra right outside the building, 8min walk to the central station line and 10 mins to all the main clubs which is essential. However during the start of the academic year with how busy the building is you may notice a lot of maintenance issues as it’s hard to keep on top of it happening all the time such as broken lifts meaning you may have to walk 15 floors (which I did) with shopping in hand and wasn’t the most pleasant thing to do, saying this they do sometimes get fixed quickly you might just be an unlucky one who gets their before they fix it

Amazing location, all of the staff are so lovely and helpful, it is quite expensive for a fairly small room and kitchen. It is great for socialising though as the social areas are incredible and there’s hundreds of students here.

Horizon Heights is a very modern student accommodation located at the heart of Liverpool city center. On higher floors, you get the best view you can ever have of the city.

I love horizon! More like a hotel, communal areas are cleaned regularly but no cleaning of kitchens, fire alarms were a problem this year with them randomly going off but it’s a great building. I loveeeee the staff!

Was the perfect location with great social spaces. Slight more expensive option, however you get what you pay for. Loved the sky lounge and playing pool, and the overall aesthetic of the accommodation was appealing.

I came to horizon heights in the middle of a school term as I was having serious issues with my coast accommodation and landlord. The staff at Horzion couldn’t have been more helpful. They got me a room with a days notice, helped me with getting my stuff moved in and were very supportive in checking that everything was okay for me in their accommodation. I couldn’t be happier being in horizon and the location is the best in Liverpool. Would highly recommend to anyone especially for anyone moving away from home to Liverpool as this was the case for me. 10/10.

Definitely think this is one of the best accom is for Liverpool uni students. Location is perfect! Sky rooftop and social kitchen is great. Circuit laundry is expensive but that’s everywhere unfortunately. Maintencae staff are lovely and helpful, easily report issues on the app. One guy even managed to get the ring I dropped down the drain back for me. Rooms are good and modern, not very big but there is under bed storage it’s just awkward to get into. Love the cubbys in the room and the modern grey colour makes it easy to match with your decor. Kitchen not very big but I was in a flat of 5, just would have preferred a bigger space to all comfortably be in the kitchen together. But overall I’m glad I picked it as my accommodation as I felt super safe and the location was perfect for me.

Great environment, beautiful view with all amenities close to one another - met some lovely people here this year and front staff/security are always friendly and very helpful , many layers of security with a key card as-well making it very secure

I've loved my time living at Horizon Heights, had loads of fun with all the social events. that has been put on for us all, The sky lounge is very boujee and looks absolutely amazing on my pics, but most of all I will really miss jo from reception, she has been absolutely amazing, always smiling and up for a laugh she honestly cares about us all. I love living at Horizon! The staff are really friendly and the building is really modern. There are lots of social spaces like the cinema room and private kitchen which are amazing for parties and nights in. The sky view is unreal and boss for studying or pre's! Overall think its one of the best acomms in Liverpool.

Fabulous place to live! The private dining kitchen and cinema room are amazing. There is a gorgeous sky lounge on the 18th floor which is beautiful of a night time when the city lights up. The cleaners keep the building immaculate. Staff are always on hand to help and always smiling. I love all of the little events staff put on through the year and sometimes you can even win prizes! Overall, gorgeous building, great location and friendly staff. :)

Staying at Horizon is fabulous! The building is always kept clean and has amazing facilities. The staff are really genuine and lovely at the desk when I collect my parcels. Also love the events and my new little plant pot I made!

The staff at the reception are incredibly friendly and always looking out for the residents! The cleaning and repairs team is also excellent and takes less than 24 hours for tickets on the app. Horizon is a great place to live especially for 1st year students and all my friends love visiting the sky lounge!

reception closed a lot. lifts always breaking, pool tables don’t have the right balls and the cues make it impossible to play. the pool tables are also positioned where there is no room to even take a shot. cinema room didn’t work when we tried to book it. sky lounge is the main selling point and closes after a certain time which is pointless. table tennis usually has ball not there or broken. it’s scandalous that rent is increasing from £155 to £170 to next year.

Great location, and lovely staff. Helped my many times when I needed anything, handling serious incidents such as our door being kicked in extremely professionally. Any faults have been with outside agencies such as glide the wifi, and even then they acted professionally and quickly. Would 100% recommend as a first year accommodation.

Love horizon wish i was staying next year it’s so convenient as it’s right in the city centre and right opposite the train station. have made so many new friends here and would definitely recommend to a friend moving to uni here !

It has been lovely living here however my flat mates weren’t very sociable this year which was a shame in my first year. However I am living in the same accommodation next year but with my friends so will be more comfortable

Nice flats in a very good location, shower drainage issues need to be resolved, kitchens in bigger flats are small but generally a very good accommodation.

I’m in a 10 person flat with a small kitchen. I feel like more touch ups could have been added to our rooms and flat as we are paying a lot of money. I wish there was more cleaning facilities like a broom. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Horizon Heights has been a a great stay over this uni year, meeting new people and enjoying the presence of it as I had seen it before moving in, the kitchen could be more improved in terms of furniture and etc as some stuff is not up to par.

Great experience however my flatmates don’t keep the kitchen clean and had a massive problem with this as the kitchen was unusable due to how dirty they make it, this then made my friend extremely ill with communal pneumonia due to the bacteria tht was growing in the kitchen.

Great accommodation with spacious social areas and lots of opportunities to engage with other students. I had some problems with my flatmates and they helped resolve this reasonably and fast.

Raised issues in regard to a staff complaint previously and ignored by manager for weeks. The new security guards are awful and let anybody in to the building as they are always on their phones. The building itself is always kept really clean and cleaning staff are friendly.

we’ve had many experiences where staff walk into our flat full of girls unannounced and it leaves us all pretty shaken up. also had boys walk into our flat coz the door wasn’t locked

very good and modern, reasonable pricing but the lifts being broken a lot is a burden especially living higher up, also the small kitchen with 10 people was the only issue i had otherwise all great

I would recommend Horizon Heights to any student joining the Liverpool student life. It is close to everything, university, nights out both train stations and the main shopping Center. Horizon Heights has the best social spaces and the nicest rooms you’re definitely getting your moneys worth !

A little expensive for what it is, is in a prime location, lifts always break down, washing machines/ tumble driers are awful and very expensive

I’ve lived in Horizon Heights for 2 years now, and I don’t think I could’ve had a better experience in student accommodation. Especially for my first year in university, I wholeheartedly believe Horizon is the best option in terms of social experiences and location. In terms of recommendation to others, I would definitely recommend Horizon Heights for anyone in their first year of university due to the location, amenities and social aspect of the building. The shared flats are perfect for socialising and making friends prior to attending university which make them what I believe to be the best option for someone newly attending university.

Quite expensive in comparison to other accommodations, but for the city central location, social spaces and other services such as 24/7 security and maintenance, it is value for money.

Such a good location, I would say there were a few times maintenance said an issue had been fixed and it hadn’t and for an 8 person flat the kitchen was not big enough and only had 7 seats, but the rooms are nice and modern the kitchen facilities are good and the social areas are amazing, overall i would say it is worth it.

i moved 4 hours away from home for uni. During my time at this accommodation myself and some friends became unwell during these times the management and staff of the accommodation have been amazing. i was spiked on a night out and fortunately made it back to horizon heights before staff saw me take seriously unwell and jumped into action and got me the help i needed. when i returned the staff had emailed me offering any help and came to see me personally to ask how i was doing and ask if there was anything they could do to help. myself and my mother appreciated this as being unwell away from family is very difficult but the staff made it feel so much easier and i’ll forever appreciate this from them.

I have been looking to stay in horizon since 2023 as my friend recommend it. Since moving it, the staff have been lovely and the facility’s are amazing such as study rooms and the sky lounge. I have met amazing people who live with me and they will be friends for life. The accommodation is in a great place, 5 mins away for liveroool 1. So sad I am going to be leaving in June. Really nice flats better than my first place! Sky lounge is fab and the big kitchen. The plastic airport gates are annoying but stop weirdos getting in. Best place in town for pre’s or chill night in cinema room. Quiet study is amazing for exams when student life is busy! All the staff are lovely especially Liv and Shaye who checked on me when I was ill and the american girl who gives out the parcels. Maintenance problems are always sorted out in the flat but the lifts are not always on so you have to queue for ages. Probably one of Liverpool's most decent students gaffs . Don’t bring your car there’s no parking!

Great area. Maintenance and cleaning are fast and approachable nice people. Staff are great and helpful with packages. Room feels stuffy sometimes with way the heater is and turns off quickly. Lots of dust accumulated when first moved in but has now cleared after cleaning consistently for a few months. Also extraction fan in bathroom is bad, difficulty to understand how to turn on then when it is doesn’t really work well (set my fire alarm off at one point). Lifts are always broken and does get frustrating. Too many fire alarms disturbed a lot of my online lessons

Horizon Heights is honestly one of the best accommodations I know of in Liverpool, it's got so many social spaces- indoors and outdoors too! My friends and I have spent hours in the cinema room and we've had plenty of afternoons studying in the silent study space, it's so nice to spend my first year away at uni somewhere I feel comfortable and safe. It's close to the city centre and it's central to both the Uni of Liverpool and the furthest LJMU campus.

Big rob is an amazing guy, gets the job done quickly and has great banter

Location is perfect. The sky lounge is lovely but had a curfew, I think considering how much we pay that is ridiculous. It can be very noisy on week days past 1am and staff take so long to respond to noise complaints/ they don’t respond at all. When it comes to collecting your parcel on some days you are still unable to collect it 2 hours after it has been delivered, even if you have somewhere to be and need it sooner. The lifts are always broken, not good when your paying £165 weekly. Finally, my flat mates made the kitchen a mess, this was flagged in kitchen reports. This then followed with the day staff aggressively banging on my room door which was a complete over reaction, would they do this if we wasn’t students? Made me feel like a child.

Very unhelpful and unprofessional staff, I unintentionally caught a member of staff asleep at reception in the background of a video while filming a takeaway on the way into the building to send to a friend, although paying £7.7k for the year to live here, I got harassed on my way in through the barriers by a staff member and was unprofessionally and falsely accused of “filming girls”, being forced to delete the video and remove any evidence of the “24/7 staff” being asleep on the job while they are supposed to be on duty. Highly unprofessional and disappointing as a Master’s degree student choosing to live here, very unimpressed.

Fabulous location couldn’t ask for anything better! Only thing I would say is there is consistently issues with the lifts and considering I live 15 floors up, it could be a month before one gets fixed and it’s not good enough for the money we pay.

The accommodation is a bit expensive. However, the facilities and general rooms/ living spaces are very good and modern which makes up for the money being spent. The staff are lovely and the joint spaces like the sky lounge are amazing.

Horizon Heights is a lovely place to live for a first year student when meeting new people, it is always kept clean, staff are responsible and look out for us. Maintenance is always good and problems are always fixed. Overall i would recommend horizon heights to any university student.

This is my first year at this accommodation and I have already booked the same studio flat for next year. The building has amazing facilities, much better than all of the other accommodations I visited and have lived at in previous years. The building is always cleaned and all maintenance queries are usually dealt with within the day. Pat is always lovely as well.

It’s a great place to live. Good place and nice rooms. HOWEVER. I live in a flat w nine other people and a flat w 4 people have a bigger kitchen than us. The kitchen for the 10 person I’m in- isn’t the best. But other than that it’s fine. Oh..if this place can change anything- I would be to have an easier access to under the bed. The fact I have to lift up a mattress and a wooden plank to get to the under bed storage is a bit much . Lol

lovely amenities, friendly staff, my only issue is the hygiene of my flatmates and the state they leave the kitchen in meaning i’ve hardly used the kitchen. When consulting in staff for this issue, nothing seems to have been done.

My personal experience has been strange due to a big leak in my room. I was kindly moved to a studio, the staff were lovely and a cleaner cleaned my clothes for me. However, I was told to move back into my old room without it cleaned and messy from the maintenance. The shower has grime in and the noodles that soak up water were left all around my room. Hopefully before I start moving my stuff it’ll be cleaned, if not I’ll ask for a hopeful tidy up. My studio was prioritised for visits for people next year.

Feel lucky to live in such a dynamic building- the social spaces within Horizon Heights are beautiful, friendly staff who can never do enough, and an excellent location for walking to campus or going out :)

Kay is by far the best staff member at horizon. Really polite and always goes an extra step to make sure you’re dealt with as pleasantly as possibly. Other staff members like a few in particular should learn by her example

Horizon always resolve issues quickly and the staff are friendly. The value for money is great as everything is included in the price.

Horizon heights is a good property and a good uni building all together but it’s the people in there that don’t make it ideal for all students, horizon heights from my experience is noisy and not the place to live unless you want to party till 4 am every night

Great location and really helpful and friendly staff. Always feel safe and comfortable and non urgent maintenance issues are usually solved within a few days.

I was in a really unhappy flat and horizon were really understanding and had me moved out pretty much within 24 hours and did not make me feel like a burden at all. Rob cross was really fast at replying and helped me to sort it all can’t thank him enough they really care here

Lucky enough to have one of the most beautiful uni kitchens I’ve ever seen so would recommend and 01 flat as the corner kitchens are very spacious and amazing views of the city and plenty of storage space as only has 6 flatmates. Very chill accommodation when it comes to gatherings with friends however if there are any problems e.g with noice issues are easily resolved by the staff members. Friendly staff, nice to have your own en-suite, really central to everything and both campuses are within a few minutes walk. The sky lounge is unreal, and the pool tables / table football scattered about the building are a nice touch. The cinema room never works and this was something I most looked forward to using
The views from the 18th floor are pretty spectacular, aren't they?! We'll get the team to check out the cinema room ASAP and make sure it's ready to go when you need it!

full of thieves, can’t even use the cinema room cos someone robbed the batteries from the remotes, the hdmi cable and the bluetooth connection service doesn’t even work. circuit laundry is just shocking and is daylight robbery, people at reception offer no help as it’s a separate company - just an overall disaster. and too bloody expensive and doesn’t even wash the clothes properly. LIFTS ARE SHOCKING one of them is always broken so waiting for about 15 mins and then they’re always full cos everyone’s waiting. maintenance scare the life out of you every time they knock on the door. roof terrace door doesn’t open for people with block a key cards - sort it out i’m paying for the thing. bin floor flats have it worst - pure stinks. other than that, pretty good.

To be honest, I’m disappointed with the staff on reception at Horizon heights. The security isn’t good enough. When my key card stopped working I went down to reception to let them know. After letting them know, they asked for my name and my flat/room number and just gave me a nee card without even asking me name, asking for ID or anything. Meaning, they could have just given that to anyone??? The security needs to up its game, and this is the same with parcels. They need to check peoples identity before giving out parcels. I’m disappointed that they have given my parcels to my flat mates - if I ordered the parcel, then it’s mine to collect and mine to open. Poor staff effort overall

I’ve loved staying in Horizon Heights. The sky terrace is so fun to hang out in and the views are amazing. It’s so easy to meet people here. The kitchens and bedrooms are all nice, however things do break a lot but I guess that’s your standard uni student lifestyle. Horizon are quick to fix and help you with any issues you have. Staff on reception are lovely. Only downside is the price of washing clothes but it’s the same at every accommodation!

I lived in HH in 2020/21 year and none of the social spaces were open, the sky lounge wasn’t open or the games or cinema room. Therefore my value for money wasn’t great, wish there was more social aspects of it.
