Limelight Biography
Limelight is the ideal choice for students studying in Liverpool as there are numerous institutions within walking distance, with Liverpool John Moores University only an eleven-minute walk away and a twelve-minute walk from the University of Liverpool. If you are wanting to get out and about, you can take a short walk to the train station or city centre, where you have plenty of bars, shops and restaurants to explore.
The residence has a fantastic selection of social spaces, including a dartboard booth area, karaoke room, private dining room, games room, outdoor area, sky lounge, communal lounge, activity space, events space, cinema room and wellbeing space which are the perfect spots to get to know your neighbours. When needing to buckle down and focus on classwork, students can make use of the WiFi, meeting room or soundproof study room. You can skip a gym membership as the building offers a fully equipped gym that hosts regular fitness and yoga classes. For your added benefit, there is post collection, bike storage, contents insurance and all-inclusive bills. To ensure you are well looked after during your stay, there is a property team on-site 24/7, a 24-hour onsite security team, secure fob access and CCTV.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Brilliant accommodation. I have a plus room and the view is incredible of the city. Kitchen is a brilliant social space, massive flat screen tv and plenty of counter space.
Thank you so much for your feedback. The view from the plus rooms is unreal, captures a perfect relaxing moment espically when the sunset comes in. The ensuites really do have a communal space of there own with the space it offers!
Healthy and safety of the building is always perfectly regulated. The security have an intricate balance of intimidating aura and welcoming safety to ensure the protection of the environment. The staff on during the day remain infectiously attentive and the smiles they wear could cure any bad day. Recommending limelight doesn’t do it justice - I insist.

Limelight is a well managed Student Accommodation with great condition ensuite rooms, my experience so far has been exceptional with friendly reception staff and a lot of freebies, including Papa Johns, Doritos, cheese Toasties and others. There are also several events taking place constantly, such as parties, Halloween pumpkin carving, Christmas wreath decorating etc.

Hello! I’ve been living here since past one month and I can assure this is the best accommodation in Liverpool. I would specially like to mention Joanna, Lucy, Emily, Liam, Ashleigh, Linda, Jolene for making me feel like home. They keep on organising some wonderful events which will keep you socialise with others and enjoy your time at the accommodation. So far everything has been amazing! The staff are lovely and very helpful. The social activities have been fun and made me and my flatmates feel included. The room is great, lots of storage and mordern aesthetic. As an international student I always try to feel at home and Limelight is already feeling like that!

best accommodation i’ve lived in for students! the amenities are fantastic and there’s so much to do, town is a five minute walk and university a ten, the rooms themselves are so well designed and laid out, with extra care for storage. the kitchen and social area are huge, and there’s so many opportunities that the building provide, such as free coffee stations and food and cinema event tickets. the staff are super friendly and give any advise and support you need.

I’ve had a fantastic experience at Limelight. It’s great value for money with a perfect location close to my university and everything I need in the city. The property management team is always responsive and helpful, and the place is always clean. The social spaces are amazing, creating plenty of opportunities to meet new people and relax. There’s a real sense of community here, which has made my stay even better. Plus, the WiFi is fast and reliable, which is a huge bonus for both studying and streaming. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my choice to live at Limelight!

This place isn't worth the price they're asking for. They've got some nice facilities, but it's often dirty or the heating doesn't work. We've complained about the heating countless times, but nothing changes. First, it was too cold in the Skylounge and now it´s getting too hot. So you can barely hang out there. The staff are nice, but there are just too many rules. You gotta fill out forms every time just to use the facilities or have friends over. And they've got cameras everywhere, but they still can't figure out who's making the facilites dirty. Instead, they just punish everyone with more rules. This makes this house not feel like a home. Plus, there's all this noise from construction on their second building. The studios are tiny and overpriced.

Spaces are always clean, facilities on offer are great and living spaces are large compared to other places on offer. Staff are always nice and helpful and have loads of events and activities on. Never had issues with wifi and any problems get resolved quickly and effectively.

Honestly couldn’t ask for better 1000% , the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful as well as the security always makes me feel safe and comfortable when talking to them. The building in itself is clean at all time and the infrastructure is very modern and good looking as everything is new. The app used is helpful and fast when booking communal spaces ( which are also sooo nice ) and notifying about events ( there are so many events that the mangers orchestrate i was pleasantly surprised , good for socializing ) Recommend 10/10

Helpful staff, great facilities, and perfect location (walking distance to uni).
Aside from the initial teething problems, I have loved being at limelight. The staff are all so friendly and lovely and really go above and beyond to ensure the best experience for all of us. My room and kitchen is lovely and I love all the social spaces too.
