I had a brilliant time at University and Did not get home sick as there are always activities keeping you busy and counsellors to get in touch with.
Had potential to be amazing if 2021 wasn't an online covid bubble. (right place, wrong year)
The university is good but there are some problems that I could not find the proper person to deal with my issues sometimes.
Everything is amazing , the facility the lecturer
good academic environment,beautiful city,warm-hearted teachers
Excellent University with great facilities and support for students. Have enjoyed my experience so far!
Everything about uni of Leeds is amazing! I love it when everything among the facilities came along with my expectations, especially during this hard time we are all going through.
Though I was promised an in person experience I got 0 hours at the actual university- it was all online so I can't tell you much about the facilities. the library spaces were open which was a nice place to get your work done. the union bars are very cheap. again because of covid societies were limited and no socials really. Law society was helpful on the career aspect but still not sure if it was worth the £30 probably not. the wifi is overall good but there were days were it would break which would be rather annoying but a good excuse to not do work :)
Environment is excellent and member staff are so professional
Outstanding course and excellent accommodation options
Leeds University have provided me with excellent employability skills
It’s a great university, nice location and easy to move around. It’s close to the city which i love as well. I couldn’t really experience the uni life due to the pandemic
Wifi is shocking and the ethernet port in my room didn't work. Didn't get to experience any clubs or societies due to covid and most of campus was closed while being here. I'm sure it would of been better had it not been covid but not much I can do about it now.
Really nice, social university. Haven’t been on campus a lot due to Covid however on the occasions that I have been it looked really nice
Great university! Course structure is very good and professors are quite friendly.
So much opportunity and diversity
This was a difficult year but we made the most out of it
Right near the centre, big student union!
Good not really been to the university except for the library once or twice this year because of Rona
University is good, library is nice. not been much because of corona.
I have had the best time at Leeds uni!
Lectures are informational and teachers are helpful. There are many societies to choose from and the campus has food.
Great lectures and support, good resources and great teaching
Everything online atm so hard to judge
Previously attended other universities and dropped out but Leeds has a much more friendlier vibe! Lots of ways to make new friends with the societies and a great city to live in!
It is fun to study here. People are amazing.
Wouldnt really know not been on campus
Haven’t had a chance to properly experience it due to covid!
Internet not always the best but good common room and social facilities
Amazing university wouldn’t choose anywhere else. Not really been to it yet but campus is lovely. Perfect location. Some teachers lack motivation other to that some inspiring professors. Worth it for the vibe
Great offering of societies, nice student union,
wonderful uni, fantastic facilities. Would highly recommend.
I haven’t had the chance to access the uni campus so I don’t know
Great uni, love the city and looking forward to in person lectures!
Library facilities are lovely and the new system to book is great, campus is really nice to walk around.
Lovely campus, everything in one place, good course
Difficult to review due to current lockdown restrictions, disappointing that many clubs and societies haven't taken up the initiative to reach out to students to run virtual events. Have signed up to many mailing lists and never hear anything, the SU could have done more to encourage socs to reach out to new students this academic year. The campus itself looks lovely and never had internet issues while on site.
Wouldn’t want to be anywhere else
Very nice student union and events and the campus is lovely
Great uni, amazing support from the facilities and brilliant student nightlife.
A GOOD UNIVERSITY WITH FRIENDLY ENVIORMENT
Amazing place, surely a good place to live in and to hangout with friends.
Great university and great eduction
A very good university with high quality of education
Leeds University is also a very good place, it is full of academic atmosphere. I can interact very friendly with the teacher, but unfortunately the recent impact of covid-19 has become an online class
Everyone is sooo kind and friendly. I love my home and I think it’s the best apartment in Leeds.
Overall its a good university. I cant really speak much to it because I haven't been on campus all year.
Good uni but could definitely be a thousand times better
Due to covid-19, I have only been to the campus twice and I really hope to meet my classmates and my teachers!
Awesome accommodation and service! Staffs here are so friendly. It is new and very clean. The great location makes my life in Leeds more convenient. There are also many great activities, everything thing is perfect!
Top University, near to City Centre
A great university for postgrad students. The staff at the school of math do a great job. The food from the refectory is quite expensive and unhealthy though.
Good and safe and well handled
Friendly university with a great campus
Not been able to go on campus much due to COVID but even the limited time I have been on campus, it has been everything I needed and more
The facilities are incredible, lovely campus
Great in general! Good teaching and you can leverage your chances of getting good job if you make use of societies and other extracurriculars. Leeds is famous for student life. It definitely is better in many aspects than London.
Due to COVID 19 I haven’t been on campus much. When I have staff have been helpful
I had a wonderful time studying in this uni. Coming from India, this uni never once disappointed with it's efforts to make me feel at home. Regular events and an understanding faculty are like cherry on top.
Good overall. The only thing I didn’t like was that they made me fly all the way back to the UK during covid saying that the seminars would be in person and once I got here it is now online.
The University of Leeds is an awesome campus and a place to study. I studied two MA here in English Literature and Communication and Media and now I am gearing up for my PhD in the latter. If I did not have such an awesome time and all the best academic support I would not choose this uni over and over again ❤️️
A great friendly university with interesting courses, beautiful campus and lots of great shops nearby
Great Uni for academics, sports and socials!
Very good university which provides me many good memory including studying and living.
The facility at University is very nice and the professor all very friendly and good. I think it is a good experience in leeds.
Loved my time at the University of Leeds!
I was a postgraduate student doing my Masters and it was very emotionally draining. However, it was the most rewarding and life changing experience due to its supportive environment, good student union with delicious food and also the food markets every Monday on the campus itself. I really like the libraries as well where I used to study for exams and do my coursework. Access to the City Centre was also very easy from the campus where I used to explore and eat out a lot. The Careers Service were also very helpful in helping me to find direction in where I wanted to go next and have managed to secure a PhD and funding to continue my time at Leeds. I would with confidence recommend Leeds for future students because of its great supportive environment and great places to eat out. Also, great place to figure out what you want out of creating an independent life and Leeds can enhance your true capabilities. Ever though my Masters is over, my time in Leeds has not come to an end. :)
I really love Leeds and enjoy studying there! The campus is comfortable and the buildings are really nice!
Good range of food stalls on campus.
Really fun uni - make sure you get a good accommodation
Thank you for such a great time in Leeds!
Leeds University is really beautiful and I love everywhere here. All the buildings are perfect. And I really enjoy the food in the restaurant.
One of the best years of my adulthood life. I must say one year is very short for such a fantastic experience, but I feel like I gained so many things during my time at the University of Leeds. The staff and lecturers are kind and helpful, the modules structures are fantastic, and we have the best student union in the UK. I would never trade my experience at the University of Leeds with anything.
Awful experience, wish I chose a metropolitan. I don't know what they're doing to the students. But during my time, the referendum vote meant life or death. If you go to university, don't bring up politics. I didn't gain a single friend, got asked to leave multiple societies, which ironically I got suggested to join because apparently it's unhealthy to just work, Don't listen to people who tell you that you can "spread your wings", you can't. By law you can only do 120 credits a year, yet you're only in University less than 30 hours a week; sometimes less than 10. No matter how fast you do your work, it will not be accepted unless you submit it within a small frame near the submission date. I didn't go to University to get drunk and have drugs, I went to study, work hard, have my head down 60-70 hours a week. A total disappointment. I shouldn't have to go the same pace as the hungover dude at the back.
If you are a sound person who likes house parties and socialising with a ton of interesting and unique people then this is almost definitely the best university experience in the UK. The campus is top tier, so is the union, and Hyde park is just a one mile radius of almost all student houses and it has been one of the best experiences I could imagine to live there for 3 years.
The university is good. Sound frastracture and professional teaching staff. A lot of social activities.
Good facilities and universities overall
Good univerusty. Nice experience witj good people and fun times and good night life.
Great city and loved the facilities. My graphic communication design course was poor though.
The University of Leeds was excellent in all areas. No complaints.
Good uni, great student union and campus 10 mins from city centre
leeds is one of the most famous universities across the world. And the school is very beautiful. in addition, the academic atmosphere is very nice.
I am a foundation year student, and the University of Leeds is my goal, I want to try my best to go to there and enjoy my campus life.
University of Leeds is a perfect place to study
To be honest, going to the University of Leeds for my Masters (Bioscience) was the worst decision I have made academically. The Faculty of Biological Science is a complete shambles causing delays in feedback, and is rife with miscommunication. If you complain, it goes nowhere and meeting with the head of course was terrible as I was doing well and therefore had my complaint dismissed. The stress this course gave was unbelievable and don't get me started about applying for mitigation. Even with medical evidence, they don't approve mitigation despite a GP advising why it should be granted. The whole course was a disgrace leading to me leaving with nothing. I would strongly suggest that people choose a different university.
Great University, very social and diverse
The people in the Uni of Leeds make it what it is. Theres always someone to help
Probably the best mix of academic excellence and party life in the country. Definitely the best student union in the country, LUU is awesome. Careers service are okay but nothing special. The campus may have looks that only a mother can love but no one ever has much else bad to say about the uni.
Love it here! Having a lot of fun
good, many activities but I have never attend them
it's all good so far. but considering the situation recently, the University should take some precautions
Overall pretty decent. Would be better if they’d hurry up the building works
Very good teaching and facilities, good social environment around campus, plenty of things to get involved with.
The University of Leeds is an enjoyable place to study. There’s always something happening on campus and loads of societies for you to find like-minded people!
Very good all round - haven't used the careers service so cannot give an accurate rating on that, but I do receive frequent emails about careers fairs which is beneficial
I am throughly enjoying studying here.
First two years were amazing with great tutors who were enthusiastic about our work. Left for an internship in September 2017 and returned autumn 2018 When returned the course had a completely new course leader who unlike in previous years, final year was run by a guy who had no experience in education but instead had experience in the New York fashion industry This is way too old school for what a modern course needs! He never had anything good to say about our work and was often plain disrespectful about our work -making many of us cry. I felt like I could never discuss my ambitions creatively whilst in Final year & it always had an affect on my personal life on this course. I developed depression and just felt worthless due to the criticism received. In the 2nd semester of final year I managed to pull it together (without the help of the main tutors of the course the garment techs were the best)but do NOT study here under the new course leader!it’s toxic!!
Research intensive university that continues to try and improve in all necessary areas.
Comfortable environment to study in, good representatives of the student community, however the career services are always full and has insufficient resources
The staff are helpful and I was able to access help when needed
