Durham is a very beautiful city and its castle and church are amazing. The school's new business school facilities are very good, comfortable and modern. The school library has a good learning atmosphere. In addition, the school provides a lot of study and internship opportunities, which is really great for international students. I wish Durham University remain in the top 100 in the world!Keep on working hard!

The facility is good but can be isolating for international students because there’s a distinct separation between home students and international students. The colleges do matter, it can determine your social life, so choose wisely. I would recommend finding your crowd and a comfortable spot between your social and academic life.
“People around me are very friendly. It’s conveniently located near a large supermarket, making it easy to buy anything I need.”
The accommodation provided is relatively good value, and comes with all the fundamentals for independent living, along with helpful bonuses like the bar.
A good university - I am glad I chose here! The campus is good - just the building I study in is vastly out of date and now cramped before lectures. The SU is also good, just out of date. Not really had much experience with the careers' service, that's why i'm rating it like this
DUBS has a state-of-the-art building that fulfils all educational requirements of students. The faculty is extremely supportive.
Nothing much to add. Durham is a great university
Although many buildings are old, there are plenty of modern facilities and wifi is available throughout the different sites. Clubs and societies offer something for everyone and really help with making new friends and making university life more fun.
They do offer a great deal of support for those struggling mentally. People are understanding and helpful. I have nothing to say about support, but if you can’t afford the societies there won’t be much help there. Everything you need to pay for. Laundry (which gets more expensive every year), gym, book clubs, formals, your food for the formals the drinks. And it’s not that great either at least in my opinion, good if you want to build connections, but not diverse enough or interesting enough.

Great societies with plenty to choose from.
Good overall but a pretty unorganised university in terms of admin.
Durham has been great so far. Facilities are really modern and city is very walkable. There are lots of activities to get stuck into.
Good university, social scene is mostly alcohol fuled.
There are many active and reopening societies. Most of the buildings are comfortable.
Yes Durham is a great university to come and study in
Great so far, sports societies have been very good
South college accommodation is modern and comfortable, however phone signal can be very unreliable in study bedrooms.
Would recommend for people wanting to live in a more modern building
I really enjoy durham's facilities. There is a wide array of student societies to get involved in and never a dull moment
i love it here. the campus is big, and also all buildings are very beautiful. the castle and cathedral are very pretty and they sometimes hold events such as light shows! there are a lot of opportunities to challenge yourself to new activities and meet new people. I have not looked deeply in the career aspect yet, so I am not sure what i could say about it.
Most of the buildings are very nice and well-equipped, I do not have much experience with the SU as people tend to be more affiliated with their college rather than the university as a whole.
Lots of societies and general things happening that all contribute to student life. Student Wi-Fi works in lots of areas around Durham which again is helpful. Communication isn’t always amazing but they are good at showing career opportunities.
The campus has almost everything that a student needs!
An excellent university with diverse societies and inclusive community
The student union and academic departments are outstanding. However, the university increases the amount of students they let in every year causing a housing crisis and forcing the rates of housing up year after year.
Great stepping stone for a successful future - just don’t expect anything from our SU.
There's plenty of societies and sports teams to meet people and get involved with your hobbies. There's also plenty of networking opportunities with other people in your field.
Very good experience of stay! It's a great place to live and the staff is very friendly.
Could be more seating and study spaces. More food options
excellent place. peaceful town to study and stay.
Very happy and comfortable at Durham
Uni is good enough, a varied population.
Had a good uni experience, had some really cool events and met some very cool people
Enjoyed studies but administration side of the university is less than helpful in many instances and don’t offer support for student living
My key card was missing, and when I came to the front desk at 11 PM seeking help, Lee kindly assisted me! Thank you, Lee!
Very nice place to live, excellent facilities and great location. All members are helpful and friendly, maintenance problems can be solved in time.
Security and living environment should be improved a lot.
Good university staff good experience overall, hate the high cost of living in the city and living options availability is limited
I’ve had a wonderful experience living here. The thing that has made my overall experience better has to be the staff. A special mention that I would like to make is for the night manager Dave. They have been a big help when needed. Very friendly, helpful, and polite.
a unique university experience, so many opportunities
The maintenance team has done a great job
It was really nice living here. Rebecca was really nice and helpful with everything throughout the year
Durham University is nice! Great teaching by staff and great student support

Beautiful accommodation and wonderful staff, Rebecca is a gem!
Rebecca is really nice. Could have some fancy facilities
i think here is quite and safe , the price of apartment also is acceptable, so its a bst choice for the international students who study in durham.
I am very glad I chose DC at Durham. I have studied in the UK for two years and stayed at more than three different student apartments (both in London and Durham), and I have to say DC is the BEST! Large house, new equipment, quick service (Steve can do everything !!!), and very very very kind reception! I have to move to Newcastle next year due to academic reason, and I will miss days at DC so much…
Amazing, splendid. Weather is not the best but its the uk after all.
The flat is next to big supermarkets , McDonald’s, and KFC, and it’s very convenient. The dormitory environment is also very good clean and tidy.
The facility is good and the teaching staff are very professional and helpful! Enjoyed my time spending in here!
I really enjoy studying in Durham University!
Very warm environment. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The experience here is very good. You can choose this apartment with confidence.
People here are kind and helpful

Very clean and nice, nice service
An excellent campus experience, except that the internet is sometimes not very fast.
Better than expectation. I am having an amazing time here at Durham
Good experience and nice people~
No complaints! My tutors and lecturers have been amazing. When I was struggling mentally, staff were very helpful and kind, unexpectedly offering me a place on a language evening class for free, which is now the highlight of me week.
This is my third year staying at Ernest place and I have really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The social places are also amazing and very clean. I will definitely recommend Ernest place to anyone looking for accommodation !
love the city, nice place & i have a nice academic advisor
Very nice accommodation, every one is helpful and nice
Its nice, the hours in class might be too short
It’s really peaceful and safe.
Everything about it is great, in my opinion.
Great place to study at. Huge library and interesting lectures
Good facilities and plenty of events happening on campus
The experience of living here is amazing overall. Ernest Place is very close to a big Tesco and other shops around. All the staffs are very friendly and helpful and solve problems promptly, making me feel like home. Also, the public areas are always clean.
Great extra curricular stuff and a rly nice place to live.
I am now a third-year student and I am very satisfied with the learning and infrastructure at Durham University. In particular, the library and the study area on the third floor of TLC meet the needs of students
Durham is a brilliant institution. As a physics student I enjoy fantastic facilities within the physics department and across the entire campus. I Particularly love the collegiate aspect of the university; it’s one of the main reason I chose to come here. Each college is unique in its own way and each offer many sports and societies to get involved with. I have really enjoyed my time here at Durham so far.
Was a very good university. will reccommend
Great place to be in, good staff.
Very good place to live , I strongly recommend it
very good and the staff are really good,i want to live in this place for the next year
I am very satisfied with the learning environment at Durham University. Here, I can make friends from many countries, which makes my life interesting
Solid uni, no complaints, wish the coffee was cheaper
Some aspects are good, like student societies and flexible part time job opportunities with the university. However, the university itself struggles to maintain a good student experience due to the housing crisis, cost of living crisis, separation and elitism both in departments and in the University as a whole, and overall inability of the university in mitigating and improving these issues. From a student perspective, the university as an institution doesn't care about the livelihoods and welfare of students, and rather the revenue and leaderboard scores generated from them. Colleges and most (but not all) societies are very welcoming and are great for welfare, inclusion and community but are let down by the institution.
love doing my degree at Durham.
Overall, I had good student experience
I have enjoyed durham and it’s societies
Not relevant for this accommodation
lovely place,friendly staff,spacious room
All is perfect! The reception is so friendly!
Great student support and facilities, lovely city too!
generally ok, but do more care about students’ mental health, thanks
Beautiful place, excellent university. Really grateful to study here.
A great university with a diverse range of clubs and societies.
The university has state of the art facilities, the lecturers are amazing and the place is gorgeous!
Durham university's buildings are in good condition, if sometimes hard to navigate. The Bill Bryson Library is an excellent tool for any student. There is an excellent selection of clubs and societies for any interest a student may have.
The university is stunning and my current department is great - Wi-Fi is a hassle to set up and doesn’t work on phone
Collegiate system amazing, made my uni experience
College life is very interesting, I can participate in different activities to get involved in the local. Professors are able to provide timely help and feedback.
Durham is a great place to study and make friends.
I really like living in DC. The reception is really really nice and kind. They work hard and help me a lot.
good, the teachers and tutors are nice
