I had a fantastic experience at Duresme Court and would most definitely recommend. It is a quiet place to live with excellent facilities and a Sainsbury’s down the road which is convenient. It is a bit of a walk to the centre of Durham, but there are lovely views that compensate. The staff are so nice and friendly and made the whole experience wonderful as they were always on hand to help with questions. Similarly, any room maintenance was always prompt and well communicated. The WiFi is excellent and it is very quiet which is another bonus. The deliveries are well managed and communicated as well. There are also regular events to get involve with from a social perspective as well as communal study spaces. The laundry facilities are efficient and well maintained.

The administrator is very friendly.Helped me with all my printing matters!
Staffs here are super friendly and helpful - Chloe, Emma, Steve and Danielle. Rooms are nice, and facilities are desent. However, since the room price is rising ridiculously year by year, I'm not sure whether I (and many of my friends as we had a conversation about this) can still afford it in the following years.

I’ve loved staying at Duresme Court for my final year at Durham University. I felt so welcomed the day I got here and have felt the same every day since. Massive thank you to the lovely staff for always being so kind and supportive of guests’ needs. Any maintenance issue is solved really quickly through the app making the process so easy. Everything has been brilliant :)
Very good experience of stay! It's a great place to live and the staff is very friendly.
Great accommodation, staff always happy to help and the property is very well maintained.
I am very glad I chose DC at Durham. I have studied in the UK for two years and stayed at more than three different student apartments (both in London and Durham), and I have to say DC is the BEST! Large house, new equipment, quick service (Steve can do everything !!!), and very very very kind reception! I have to move to Newcastle next year due to academic reason, and I will miss days at DC so much…
The location here is not that great but anything else is quite good.
Duresme court is a quiet place, affordable rent fees, clean place, friendly reception. I’ll still choose it in next year.
I have really enjoyed my stay at Duresme Court so far, the staff (Chloe, Emma, Danielle & Steve) are all amazing and supportive. There are events on Wednesdays, which allow you to meet other residents. I most enjoy the fact it is really quiet and peaceful, and the rooms are really warm too. I will be re-booking!
After having struggled to find accommodation space in Durham. Duresme Court was my only option, but I am glad that this was my reality. The staff have been lovely, I met some of the best people I could possibly meet. The location is quiet and excellent, and the shared spaces are splended, I could not ask for a better experience.
There is no doubt that it’s a great place and the reception is sooooooo nice! I love all of them!
Amazing accommodation! Just recommended my friend to move in. Especially the reception-Chloe and Emma are both super nice!
Excellent Accomodation!!! Great Rooms, facilities, and lovely staff .They are friendly and always willing to help. Best accomodation in Durham!
Lock the door by accident. The security staff is quick to help open the door and provide friendly service.
I really like living in DC, the reception is very nice and they work hard. The gym is all good and convenient.
If there is any lift, it will be perfect
Perfect place! Great location and friendly staff.
Friendly staff and quiet place!
Had an amazing two years here - two different rooms each year and both were lovely and presentable. Problems always addressed quickly, quiet setting, quick walk into town and I was able to have my car with me here at uni 🚗 (in Durham that is a rarity!). They do so many events throughout the year with lots of free food (!!). Absolutely love the staff and they have been such a wonderful support system while I've been here and will miss them when I move away. Steve can fix any problem with any part of the flat almost instantly. Love duresme and would always recommend for the people who want a bit of their own space whilst also living in a caring community. ❤️
First of all, the staff are amazing. Emma, Chloe, Steve, and Danielle are extremely friendly, always eager to help when we face any issues. They make sure to check in on us, make us feel at home and are always happy to chat about anything. The regular events (e.g. fish and chips truck, breakfast at reception, hotdogs day etc.) are wonderful and add more life to the Durham experience. The location of Duresme is not too far from town and university buildings, and very close to a local Sainsbury’s - ideal for quick late night grocery run. There are plenty of great facilities such as the gym, cinema room, multiple study rooms, and a shared kitchen which is perfect for cooking with friends or just hanging out. I am extremely glad I chose to live in Duresme for the past 3 years, and I highly recommend it to anyone who values their comfort
I’ve been living in Duresme Court for 3 years now and the experience is incredible. The team in reception always make me feel so welcome, very bubbly and helpful when I get myself into any trouble. Steve, my Lord and Saviour handles any maintenance issues I encounter with a smile on his face which makes me less guilty about hassling him. The social spaces (common rooms, cinema room, games room etc.) are perfect to simply relax and catch up with friends. I definitely spent a lot of time in the study rooms doing work instead of walking all the way to Bill Bryson. There is plenty to say about Duresme Court, but overall I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, spacious, lively, cozy place to live with amazing people.
Everything from the location, the staff, the facilities and the people are ideal for a student attending university. The rooms are comfortable and well designed, the place is secure and safe and facilities such as the gym, the common room and cinema room are easily accessible for everybody. The location is such that you're close enough to the city centre so you can enjoy the 'wildlife' when you want to but won't get overwhelmed by it. The whole place is extremely cosy but what ties it together is the amazing stuff who help and make your life easier whenever and however they can. 100% would recommend - no better place in Durham.
Dureseme Court will always hold a special place in my heart. Since the day I moved here in 2021all my experiences have been positive. The area is very quiet and surrounded by natural beauty a perfect environment for studying furthermore, the wifi broadband is very strong and stable. There is also a gym if you are into fitness, a communal kitchen, and a beautiful cinema room. In terms of the staff, they are the nicest, kindest, sweetest people ever after a while they automatically become family. Meanwhile, the rooms vary based on the tenant's preference. I have stayed in the Classic and Delux studios the classic was quite cozy while the Delux is spacious and has a different layout. To sum everything up, Duresme court is my home away from home and the only rating that it is getting from me is a solid five stars
Receptionists are accommodating and nice. My room is quite spacious and I can easily get comfortable with everything in my room. However, I'm not quite sure about why the remote controllers and vacuum cleaners for public use would go missing... (But that's the issue of the tenants.) Social places are quite nice and they have many things like pool table and telly, because I came here for the summer stay, so I can always find these places available! But the public kitchen sometimes is a bit whiffy... Overall, I'd give it a 8.5 out of 10 considering each aspect of the accommodation.
Security, cleanliness, maintenance, very helpful and friendly staff, convenient location, everything you want from a student accommodation.
Nice facility, friendly staff, safe neighbour area
Cannot fault Duresme Court! Staff are wonderful, always friendly and helpful with any queries or issues. Social spaces and outside space always kept nicely. Super handy having parking available onsite (parking area very secure as gates are keycard access outside of staff working hours). Really well located doesn't take me long to get down to library/TLC and super easy to get into Durham centre as well. The rooms are well thought out with sufficient storage space which is really handy!
Living here is literally the best!! All the staff are really amazing, they make you feel at home straight away and you can always go to them for any problems you might have. The rooms are perfect, there're a really good size and all the facilities are great. There's plenty of space to study in quieter areas and also to hang out with people in and around the building, and there're also plenty of little events throughout the year that you can go to if you want! There's not really much more you could ask for, 100% would recommend!!!
Lovely bedrooms, good placement and the most amazing staff! Very welcoming :)
Reception staff are always lovely and the amenities are amazing. Love that there’s space to park my car and I’ve met some amazing people here living next door and around the blocks; the pool table and common room are great places to socialise and I will miss Duresme when I leave next year!!
Amazing accommodation team, always helpful and supportive, makes us feel at home when we are far away from home
It’s a great accommodation, even though you are living in an all included room, there is a great social life here. And the staff are absolutely lovely, you’ll feel right at home.
The staff are great and the rooms have great facilities, each with large floor to ceiling windows and great light. Easy access to public transport, bus stop right outside. There is a supermarket nearby.
It is a lovely accomodation, I highly recommend it. The location is really good, the studios are new and clean, the cinema room, study room and gym are really good. Most importantly, the team is really friendly and helpful, always here for us. They also organise great events and decorate the reception in all occasions.
Amazing place in Durham for student accomodation. The staff is very considerate and friendly , special mention to Dionne , Emma and Steve .
It is an amazing living experience with a wonderful reception and cosy rooms. I am Alvin and I live here for one and a half year. I will rate it seven stars if possible.
Duresme court is a fantastic place to live! The reception are incredibly welcoming and friendly and are a joy to talk with. The rooms are spacious with lots of natural light coming in and the accomodation has all the amenties you could ask for. Highly recommended.
I'm super happy with my choice. The environment here is fantastic. It's a loving little community. The staff are very friendly and greet each other warmly. If you have any questions, you can ask them for help. They are also willing to chat with you, so it is easy to learn about local customs or life. There's a little Sainsbury's next door, very close. It's easy to get to the city center on foot, and it's also easy to get by car. There will be corresponding activities and small gifts in various holidays, which enables me to know a lot about the local festival culture and entertainment activities in Britain. I also love the large French Windows in every room in DC!~
I love DC! In addition to the simple and bright room design, the most important thing is that the reception staff are super invincible. They not only provide property services, but also hold small activities in reception from time to time, providing all kinds of food and souvenirs. When I am in need, they will chat with me and give me spiritual support, which is the best reception I have ever met!
great accommodation! -nice and spacious room with a big window -excellent facilities: cinema room, study rooms, games room, communal kitchen, gym -superb and very friendly management team -great maintenance, clean and tidy -Sainsbury's Local is just 5 minutes away and Durham University Business School is 15-18 mins by foot Love this place!
A very nice accommodation with very friendly and good reception!!! Worth to live in!
Very friendly and helpful staff
Fantastic accommodation , definitely would recommend
Very friendly staff , great value for money
Reception staff are incredibly friendly and are willing to help with anything or just have a chat. Facilities are fantastic and location isn't far away from the Science site.
Duresme Court is the best place to live. Staffs are super nice and lovely! They are willing to provide every helps to people living here. The environment here is quiet, clean and wonderful. It is located at a great and convenient location, tenants can go to almost everywhere in Durham City by walking or taking buses. The overall experience of living here is excellent!
Modern and lovely place that make you feel confortable. The staff is super sweet and understanding. Very good experience.
Overall, choosing Duresme Court is a very good decision for me:) The staffs are really nice and helpful. And snacks are prepared for holidays!!
Great place. Staffs are lovely!
Duresme Court has been my favourite accommodation throughout my experience. It's clean, friendly, warm and simply the best.
The room is quite cozy for living and all rooms are studios so it’s perfect for self isolation during pandemic time of this year. The staff members are very nice and helpful, it’s good value for money. However sometimes the corridor smells a bit but it doesn’t matter that much.
I love this accommodation. The staff are brilliant and the facilities are exceptional. Since moving to Duresme court, not only has my well being improved but my academic drive has improved too. Would recommend it to anyone
