Best place to live best university
The best accommodation for students with lots of facilities, ie- gym, 24/7 free wifi, social space, etc
I enjoy studying at UCB, the staff on courses have industrial experience and are well versed in the field, which makes practical applications to the industry and workplace a lot easier to grasp
Amazing univerdity with caring lecturers and excellent facilites. Career provision is great too
The teachers are very supportive and happy to help. The accomodation is very close to the university and in the heart of the city so fabulous location.
Decent university, have never had a problem with anything there, campus facilities are good.
Well university is awsomre.....great opportunities to work in kitchen in great manner...all professors are good
The internet needs to be a bit better in some cases, as sometimes the access point is full and we cannot get access to it. Though there is a website for careers called Hired, the jobs are either not relevant to my course or aren't available.
Great value learning and lovely teachers
I like it, the bakery course is good and the facilities are good.
Currently studying the good thing is they are always open to feedback and are constantly improving the facilities and experience for students. Most of the lecturers are highly skilled and will go out of their way to help.
I've had my worst experience in education at this University they do not care about students well being or mental health at all they are just money hungry I'm talking mostly about the Finance department other members of staff were nice and friendly. The university finance department told me I could not enroll for second year to the University because I had outstanding debt with UCB Maltings, I had trouble paying this last year and was looking for a way around this paying in instalments the Finance department refused and demanded I pay over 2000 before enrolment which I do not have. They have taken my money for first year and now im stranded in Birmingham when im from London in accomodation I payed for until January I also have no money because I was expecting student finance and have no savings. They clearly only care about money and not the students well being or education they just want money I would recommend not going to the University and picking another Uni in Birmingham
good modules and good lecturer to study
good university good quality of teaching
Nice place to take your hospitality education.
Excellent university, close to my student accommodation. Excellent staff that are there to help you throughout my university life
anyone can get into this uni really, think the uni just cares about course numbers and money which means that you will get people in your course that dont really care about getting a degree and will talk and muck around in the lectures, and although complaints have been made theres been nothing done about it. The course i did was really good with free trips and most lectuerers are really good in supporting students through their studies, and the facilities are really improving. Halls are okay, however they seem to be charging way too much.
I studied BA Digital Marketing, and overall modules and syllabus were great. I got lucky to have such an amazing year manager who really took the time to give lectures and materials to study. It is a great place if you want to learn focused courses like Digital marketing.
OK as a Uni , made some nice friends. Courses are good. I was a student at UCB when it was BCFTCS, then came back later. There were some staff there before who were extremely helpful. They knew what service and support is. Now they have new staff who don't care about students. Overall uni is ok but certain areas are a put off such as IT. Although they now have new PC suites /areas the support is terrible. The IT staff are useless. Wifi is always going down. When I studied here before there was one IT member who was very helpful, All the students relied on him, luckily he is still working here and as reliable as ever. Other student support areas are hit and miss, depends on who helps you. I would only recomend this uni if course is not available anywhere else as in my case.
More of a college than a university, I previously went to another university, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt this is a terrible uni in comparison to others. There is no SU, there are minimal societies, although the societies there are are very welcoming. I would advise looking to get into other unis.
The student union is small, there are only really sports societies and a few others, would appreciate a few more fun societies that werent sport related!
Wifi very hit and miss. Good amount of societies for a small university.
There are many sports societies available to join for both men and women. All facilities are kept up to date and are modern
