Burbage Apartments Biography
Burbage Apartments offers undergraduate students a range of homey rooms ideally positioned for the ultimate student experience. Residents don’t have to worry about being late for class as the university buildings are a stone’s throw away. When wanting to get out and about, there are plenty of green spaces, communal areas and local hub spots to enjoy.
To ensure a hassle-free stay, parking permits are available, as well as all-inclusive rent, contents insurance, WiFi, and customer service. Take a break from your studies and join one of the Residence Life events and sports activities. With easy access to a laundrette, cycle storage, study spaces, social spaces, fitness suite, the Village store, The Ridge common room and IT suite, The Edge Hub and The Green Room, residents take advantage of having everything they need on their doorstep.
Burbage Apartments gives students the option of staying in a deluxe or en-suite room. Inside each room, you’ll have a study area, storage space, and wardrobe. These rooms share kitchen facilities, making it the ideal choice if you are looking to stay with friends.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Outskirts of Endcliffe so quieter and marginally closer to uni, social space could be better but isn’t bad.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review, we really appreciate this. Burbage is pretty close to the centre of the Ranmoor/Endcliffe site but not overlooking The Edge bar so can be quieter. The walk to main campus is around 20-25 mins along well lit, main roads so it's an easy commute. There is also a cycle path if you choose to cycle and secure parking across the whole university. There are 2 social areas, The Hub and The Edge where lots of events are held. Many of these are by Residence Life and are often free !. There is also the Green Room which you can book to watch a film, play a game of just hang out with friends. Best wishes, Sharon
I've found the size of the accommodation to be fairly satisfactory and the environment to be encouraging of social interaction. The distance from Endcliffe Village, and subsequently Burbage itself, to the university is a major drawback of the accommodation.

Good location both within city and Endcliffe village and whilst the facilities are good on the whole, maintenance are very slow to respond (eg our front door doesn’t shut properly and we still don’t have a kettle). WiFi mostly good. Social space at the edge is great. Cleaners are lovely

Kitchen in Burbage A are too small and not enough storage for 6 people.

I really enjoy my time here in Burbage, the wi-fi is absolutely amazing on my ps5 (cable), the facilities are decent, and it's not too far away from campus.

Amazing location with other students, good sized rooms with bathroom, however not cheap for sheffield
