Well equipped buildings, especially the engineering department. Student union is so good; the events, socials and sports societies are a must at Sheffield!
Good facilities and good location

The university and campus is excellent.
wifi slow, SU had great shops and food places, lecture theatres are comfortable
Very pleasant university life, classmates and teachers are very friendly, school facilities are very good, transportation is convenient
Could not have been happier with my choice. Prices, location, support and facilities are all really good.
The students union is rated best in the country.
I think that the university is fantastic, as we have a range of opportunities in academic and social life.
Good uni with excellent facilities and student union.
Nice place and a well organised university.
There is lots of study spaces and the night life at the student union is always fun
overall university of sheffield met all my expectations!
there are many clubs. i joined the volleyball society and i love attending it on the weekends, i met many of my friends there. the student union has amazing things like the merch, food shops, nice lecture halls and places to study
The amount of options at Sheffield uni is amazing there is something for everyone there. The staff at all levels are amazing in their support.
Arguably the best SU in the country
Variety of clubs and societies!
Campus is good, with many nice study spaces suited for different preferences. When trying to find employment, the careers service in the SU was incredibly helpful, however there aren't that many student-friendly jobs available. Wifi does cut out every so often, but is still good.
Amazing uni, lovely atmosphere.
All round great experience, good
Honestly overall great university experience
环境不错,前台客服很友善,公共区域也很大,别特别好,good
really good service,lots of events
I love it here. I think I am very happy in England! The people here are very nice and have cured my depression and anxiety.
There is one thing I disliked ,that is about this university’s QS rank. I hope that the QS rank will be back in top 100.
Great team and amazing facilities!
I'm a languages UG mature student and have found the department underfunded and under resourced. There are no physical languages labs or even online programmes or web memberships for the purpose of a virtual immersive environment orimproving pronunciation; no languages department study spaces for undergrads, and the classes are outsourced to other unrelated buildings as there is such limited teaching space there. Teaching materials and approaches are limited and hard to navigate. On the other hand, if you study engineering, you'd have a much better deal as there are many labs and practical spaces to design and work. I would not recommend Sheffield for mature students as the SU provision is limited to occasional socials and there is no useful help on the website or from the SU officers, as provision is made through the foundation course department only and does not extend to degree level. There is no designated well-being officer nor support webpage. Nottingham is much better.
It's been an exciting experience, so far.
Wifi cuts out quite often and better off using mobile data on your phone
Being at The University of Sheffield has offered experiences I don't know I would have experienced elsewhere. The facilities are amazing, the Students Union is the best for a reason, there are many job opportunities (within the uni or outside of uni, the memories I have made because I have come here is more than what I could have asked for, and university life here is constantly evolving!
The university of Sheffield is a fun university with lots to offer. From a fun nightlife to a more relaxed day in the peaks, Sheffield is full of things to explore. Starting uni has been an exciting experience of meeting new people and becoming more independent both in my academic and personal life.
I love this school very much. Maybe Sheffield is the last stop of my student life. I spent a wonderful time in the master's program here and learned a lot. I met many classmates and friends from all over the world. The time here is a precious memory in my lifeI hope the school will get better and better. When I am old, if I have the chance, I would like to revisit this place, lie on the lawn opposite Dimond, or lie down and look at the sky, and recall the good student days.
The University of Sheffield offers an enriching MBA experience, blending cutting-edge business knowledge with a global perspective. As a Zimbabwean student, I value the diverse cohort, world-class faculty, and focus on sustainability and innovation. The supportive environment fosters networking and personal growth, preparing me to excel in a dynamic business world.
Could have better music amenities, other than only pianos. Music building is only available to music students.
The Vibe: Sheffield is a really cool city with a great student scene. The Uni itself is well-respected, and you get a good sense of community. The Course: East Asian Studies is awesome if you're into history, politics, and languages. You get to explore different cultures and learn about the world. Plus, it opens up a lot of career paths. Things to Consider: Balancing uni life with other stuff can be tough, especially if you have family or other commitments. Make sure you have a plan for how you'll manage your time and finances. Overall: If you're passionate about East Asia and ready for a challenge, Sheffield could be a great choice!
Regularly sends out weekly emails from the student union keeping us informed of events that are going on. Good offers from career services always offering opportunities and specific placement or work experience teams. Some nice buildings but certain facilities could be better
nice campus lots of places t0 go
Lovely campus and buildings, really enjoying course.
Lots of space to work and nice food. The lecture theaters are mainly nice to be in except avoid the Nelson Mandela if you are left handed.
I enjoy the overall experience at Sheffield University.
Love Sheffield and the campus, Wi-Fi could be better though.
I think that this is a great uni, they have everything a student could want or need and the standard to which they operate at is high. Good courses, departments, facilities and plenty of social opportunities as well.
Amazing University with excellent facilities!!
I spent a semester exchange at the University of Sheffield and I am very happy about my choice. The university is very welcoming to exchange students, the university buildings are modern and pleasant to spend time at and the city centre has a nice atmosphere and is easy to navigate.
Great university with good facilities. The wifi connection is sometimes poor though.
WiFi is good, SU is kind of out the way from accom, but good if wondering by, career services are good.
Great facilities with lots of events on all the time, support always easily accessible and uni health service made finding a GP in sheffield extremely easy.
university offers lots of opportunities for students to study and also have social experiences
Student union lecture theatre needs better tables. Cheaper food and more seats.
Very supportive, and any issues are resolved quickly.
The University of Sheffield has helpful and friendly staff and the facilities are great. There are often technical issues with my department (music), but generally things are sorted out quickly. The student's union has great shops and food! I recommend the university to other people!
ive had a great experience with no complaints
I am a private person and don't go to many social events, however there seems to be a lot offered.
Great University experience for sports, cheap accommodation and facilities. Centrally located.
I’ve had a great time at Uni Of Sheffield so far. It was my first choice after the opening day, and would still be my first choice now
It is a great place to be able to socialise and meet new people as there is something for everyone to enjoy
Wifi connection generally good but can be a bit patchy. Great facilities on campus, but would prefer more workspaces and desks in libraries and the SU. There is such a wide range of facilities at the SU and it is a safe and welcoming environment.
A very good university, financial issues are concerning for students though.
Students union is great and love the foundry
best university ive seen, amazing facilities and people
The su is great for socialising and studying
The students union has lots of events going on and has a great club in the basement.
Good student experience and am having a good time :)
Modern and well kept campus with a friendly environment. Student Union is ranked no1 for a reason, really good bar and events in the foundry.
Student union is great but could be more societies because there’s like 1 or 2 missing
The Biosciences Building (Firth Court) is a beautiful building with up to date labs. campus is kept clean and well managed.
Support is always available! So many opportunities to learn things outside your degree
Nice university with facilities that feel modern and well kept
The libraries and study spots are great on campus.
Fun atmosphere, lots of things to get involved in and good study spaces.
Great campus and support. Student union is the best I saw of all I’ve visited.
Had a great time in Kinder so far, the Ridge has a free gym which is very handy and I love the community fridge system
Good staff with wide variety of available modules
it's a good uni it was my first choice 👍
As an international student, I really enjoy studying there. The classes are interesting but most of all, the professors and the staff are super nice!! It is a very good place to study.
Good uni, nice people. Nightlife can be a bit dead sometimes
Overall happy with everything. Nothing is too stand out but the union is quite nice and has plenty of stuff to do
I think that university so far has been great I love the feel of it the wifi is available everywhere but does cut out
Had such a good time in Uni accomadation, would definitely recommend it
The campus is close to a lot of student accommodation.
WiFi is very bad Bar one and foundry are good
I personally love the Student Union and campus. The SU has so many facilities in itself, for activities, holding events, eating, buying necessities or baseline groceries, and events are often held in that area. Of course there is also an advice center, which helps you out with most things University, accommodation or finance related if you need it. The careers service in person meetings, I haven't tried out yet, but I did add some skills reflections in my portfolio which is linked to the app 'Career Connect', and it's very helpful in organising future skills employers might look for, which is helpful for building up you CV. They also provide job listing for part time and full time jobs, which is helpful in case you ever need to look for one. The campus itself is really easy to get around, and the hills themselves, though everywhere have to be concluded to be great exercise. I would just advise to leave your accommodation early enough to make up for time lost getting up the hills.
Overall a nice experience , I enjoyed it
I didn’t have a typical time at university, but overall had a good experience.
There a loads of cluns and societes, the student union is great, wifi is pretty good - there are a couple lecture theatres where its slightly slow but otherwise its great.
It’s a great uni! I love exploring the city and seeing different parts of campus. The students union in particular is a really nice space for whatever you need, and there’s such a great variety of societies!
Campus is a bit of a walk and takes time by bus in the morning from endcliffe/ranmoor but the diamond and ic are very good places to study.
Uni of Sheffield is an excellent place to study, learn and have fun
Its been great so far, there is nothing to complain about with it, there is lots of societies and the SU is cool.
I am very happy with the university's career support, facilities, and societies. Keep the vibe up!
Facilities are modern especially the SU and there are many societies
Very good university with lots of great opportunities
The campus and societies are good and welcoming
Great overall, course is very well organised.
Sheffield provides many great options for societies which has been a real highlight. The campus itself is very accessible and for the most part, there’s never much struggle to find somewhere to study.
Enjoy the uni. Best thing is the wide range of clubs and societies there is
All very good and convenient also a lot of societies
