The facilities are nothing to gloat about however every staff member and lecturer I have met were incredibly helpful and supportive when I was in need of assistance. The lecture rooms at times may be very tight in relation to the number of students attending however it’s not bad. All students are very diverse in ethnicity, religion, and more. It provides the university with a good feeling as it allows to meet new people and understand different cultures. The lectures fluctuate in quality depending on the lecturer or the method of approach. Some lecturers bring life into lectures through humour, interesting facts, engagement with the students, and more. However sometimes these lectures can also feel dragged out at times causing loss of energy and willingness to learn. But this is partially lessened in effect as breaks are provided midway through. Overall not a bad experience in that regard. The facilities are serviceable for what the student may need.
I just started my second year in Digital Media and during my first one I received lots of support from the Student Services, especially the counselling as I went through some tough time with my accommodation. I also, received a bursary for £1200 that helped me to paid off some debts I had.
Worst and most terrible university in the UK.They give result unfair and bias to international student.I would not recommend this university to international students, particularly those from India and Pakistan.Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with the institution. Despite my best efforts, I was informed by a professor in advance that I was likely to fail a course, which ultimately came to pass. Furthermore, when I attempted to retake the course, the same professor was assigned, which I found to be unhelpful. It seemed that the university prioritized supporting their staff over providing adequate support to students. I believe that financial considerations may have played a role in this decision. Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of support and resources provided to international They are so many students in this university who faced same problem like me and no one is ready to help you.
London met is a terrible Uni. Most teaching staff are not capable and do it as a side gig. The facilaties are poor, equipment from the 70s and 80. The administration is poor and unresponsive. The software used to run cource programs is poorly operatered frequently inaccesable and ofter not used by poorly trained casual teaching staff who simple cant be bothered.They rely on agressive fraudulent recrutment of international students to keep the place afloat. I had a full semester with no instructor and when i complained they response months later was you got a good grade so too bad for you. Absolute scam of a University.

Aldgate campus is small and overall very quiet. The library is okay and the computer spaces are good, however the printers etc always face issues

Extremely unproffesional and unorganised. Came to this University passionate to learn Interior Design, but now feel completely disillusioned. We are hardly taught anything but expected to complete vast amounts of work. I learn more from staying at home and learning off google/youtube. If you give feedback you are bullied. Honestly, look elsewhere if are passioante about what you want to learn - because this university will not teach you the skills.
Teachers are great in the AAD department and work hard to get to know the students and remember their names. Such a big contrast from other universities where the students are just a sea of faced to the lecturers

The university building is very unwelcoming and facilities are minimal. There are little to no clubs or society's to join and therefore difficult to make friends. Some lecturers do not speak great English which can be a barrier to learning and a number of my friends have dropped out because they disliked the uni.

The teaching abilities of lecturers are mixed, ranging from excellent to absurd, with some showing a deficiency in basic written language skills and expression that leads to indiscriminate quality and validity of teaching material, written coursework guidance and students' grades. It is evident that some staff shamelessly lack integrity in their role and neglectfully present out-of-date or worthless information. I am a mature undergraduate used to navigating life's obstacles, a prerequisite for my course. If you have lived a coddled life, think twice before joining London Met. My younger peers struggle with changing circumstances and demand excessive staff attention. They bombard lecturers with petitions to address outrageous concerns and subsequently encroach on their time to prepare material and teach. Academic intelligence alone is insufficient to thrive at London Met; without an appropriate degree of emotional intelligence, student life will be an unpleasant experience.

While I enjoy going to London Met, I don't feel apart of the community they have created and therefore spend time with my own friends from my classes but would like to meet more people

Very good quality of teaching and opportunities for learning and networking but still has flaws. When learning from home there was definite confusion but I still felt support was available from my tutoe
I enrolled on my course in October 2020 which means that I have not yet stepped foot inside and of the campus buildings due to COVID, so I can't rate that aspect, however the online experience has been excellent. Classes are engaging and taught by staff who are clearly passionate about their respective subjects. The clubs and societies are still running online which is a great opportunity to stay social while in lockdown and the students union have a very strong presence. I also receive weekly emails about careers and employability prospects.

One advice for anyone, who considers CASS as an option for studying art- save your time, nerves and money and don't do it! There are plenty of other art schools in London! I've been studying Interior Design at CASS and this was the worst experience ever!!! I have transferred somewhere else after one year at London Met, however, they almost made me never consider studying Interior Design again. The whole campus is an absolute nightmare- dirty and outdated, but the teaching is the worst part of all. During this year at London Met I have come across some extremely rude tutors, but most of all I did not receive academic support when I needed it. Many people from my course were actually complaining, but it seemed like no one cared. There was almost no teaching, no formal lectures on design principles, drawing techniques,etc, etc., no formal lectures at all I would say - bare in mind that a lot of theoretical knowledge is required before actually starting to design anything!

Please be careful of the bad reviews you read about this property. Mannequin house is amazing!! The location is perfect as central London is just 20 mins away with Blackhorse road station literally being across the street. The staff at the front desk are amazing and they have been more than supportive even before I moved into the property (especially my bro Moe and Jess!!) The area has everything you need with Sainburys, Asda, 2 lidls, NatWest and Barclays, a gym and an amazing food market every sunday!!! There’s a bus that takes you directly to Stratford mall if you want to do some shopping. They provide you with two vacuum cleaners in the flat but you have to purchase your own bathroom supplies (but you’re informed about this before moving in). Some people say that the windows do you not open that much. This is true but it is not as bad as people make it seem and there is still a lot of ventilation in the room! The desks are big so you can study in peace and there is a study room.
I only attended here for a year but ended up leaving because of how terrible the place was. No real help from tutors (they just show you a PowerPoint presentation but don't actually teach you how to do anything), no support if you have a disability, overwhelmingly large and soulless campus building and hardly any useful facilities. I learned nothing of real value here and it was a waste of time which I unfortunately will never get back. I wish I could say that I at least made some friends here but even that is untrue. Do not attend this university for your own health and well-being.
My experience in London Met was positive, quite frankly , i initially applied, because at that time, they had a modular degree programme , that allowed you to take degree course modules to build single, majors, minors or combined honours in any degree in the programme, that enabled me build a degree with a social science major and minors in Business studies and IT, I got a graduate job 3 months after graduation and built my career in IT consultancy . Very few unis offer this type of course flexibility. I worked with and managed lots of "red brick" and Oxbridge graduates.
I deeply regret doing my Masters here after finishing my undergraduate degree the year before, I choose this uni because of the location and because it was familiar to me. I had endured so many problems with my undergrad but nothing prepared me for the Masters. The school of the social profession and school of social science are without a doubt the worst run departments I have encountered. I spent so much of my masters complaining and getting nowhere needless to say with covid19 and the total lack of support for students I failed to achieve my Masters which is very hard to take, I was failed 4 modules unjustly and almost 3\4 of the students on the masters also, it was ridiculous failing us for such trivial nonsense such as bad grammar and high similarity score, and this is from Tutors who are not from the UK but from international countries. and have the audacity to say my grammar was bad and I am a UK born citizen. Do not go to this place if you value your education!!!!

Not too happy that it is now closed due to Covid-19 and me and some fellow students have been having major connection problems when it comes to logging in, being able to see or hear the online session on blackboard collaborate. Some lecturers are great, some are not. You just either get lucky or you don’t. It’s not your typical uni - lots of older people doing degrees, so this doesn’t give you the full uni experience. Student union events are rubbish. Thing I hate most about this uni is that it’s SO expensive. £4 for a sandwich? I don’t think so! Should be cheap as chips.
I am in my second year of uni, I work at the student bar as well as attending a course. Great facilities to really help you learn.

Very unorganised university, facilities nothing like they are advertised, no student union as such, one bar, not great as a non-campus university, accommodation is so expensive and hard to find suited to your location, staff are not helpful, online learning is not easy to navigate, facilities are clean

This was just wast of time. Did not get any valuable knowledge, everything what I’ve learned was from purchased online courses. Attendance is much more important than your work. A lot of lectures were like “go around city of London and take pictures”. I was studying interior design, but my project was to create outside activity for poor area! I filled up a complaint (one of my coursmates did same thing) but they’re just saying university teaching is top level. However me and my groupmate heard how head of our faculty was talking with her colleague about making us stay for at least one more semester so university won’t lose the money! DON’T GO THERE IF YOU WANT REAL EXPERIENCE, NOT JUST A PIECE OF PAPER.

I went to London Metropolitan for one year bland had the worst ever imaginable time there. The careers service is horrific, the lecturers aren’t nice and the lack of societies is appalling.
London Met is a place where if you put in the work, you will be rewarded. Many people look negatively upon it simply because they perform poorly.

Communication terrible between lecturers, whenever we have a problem we go to the HUB they don’t know what to do then ask to speak to course leader. Every academic year picking modules is a huge problem nothing is smooth students need to chase up many people to get something solved!

For a university whose student body contains quite a high proportion of students over 30, they sure seem to have problems conceptualising the idea that students may have private lives outside of their studies.

Worst University in London. Rotas were wrong, only found out when attending the wrong lessons, after the lack of care students didn’t turn up for lectures causing a lack in information and guidance. Would never apply to London met again.

Terrible University. You come to London Met University with full confidents, ambitious and happiness and you will leave with depression, lose of confident, anxiety, lack of sleep and no qualifications . All they care about is your money, after that they will do their best to make sure you fail, so you can repeat the year and pay again for the course. Teachers and staff mislead students, leave them with no support, they are only few good lectures, but the majority hate their job and that impacted badly on their treatment to students, many healthy and happy students left the university with mental health issues, but they have good counselling service, so if you ever go to London Met and suffer from mental health issues, I advice you to go to their counselling, they are very supportive and understanding.

Such a nice place for studies and socialise. I spent 3 years doing my BSc in computing, I have managed to graduate with a first Class and been Able to find a Job straight away ! London met is an amazing university with a variety of opportunities

London Metropolitan University offers a great choice of courses. The facilities are endless, even though the buildings may need refurbishing and they can be hard to navigate. Excellent staff and tutors. Lovely ways to socialise are offered too, through parties, events, fairs, societies etc.
Not convinced about my overall experience here yet, still got 1 year to go, half the staff are great and half are not so, there lacks an air of professionalism which I’d expect for what I and many others pay. Along with this a lot of the students are rude and immature, not the fault of the college but isn’t dealt with in class (lateness, rudeness, arrogance etc).
This institution shouldn’t even be called a university. It’s a joke. One of the biggest mistakes of my life is wasting two years there and messing up my student finance as well because of them. Avoid at all costs !!

I went here for 2 years, and I don’t know what they did right. Your get no support what so ever from the lectures. I was at the Moorgate campus and there was no where to actually sit down, either than a small place downstairs for the whole campus. I very much felt like I did not get any support, even though I was constantly trying to talk to lectures and the support team online. Don’t waste your time and make the same mistake I did, and any where else

My university experience has been pretty poor, many issues with lecturers, timetables, assignments, it, the list continues. I would not recommend this university, and do not feel like a single issue raised has been solved by the university.
Great university full of opportunities for anyone willing to put in work, creativity, and practical skills. I’m an architecture student, and the tutors, facilities, tools, courses/modules are all fantastic. The situation of the design campus in the border of the City, in Aldgate, on London’s East end, 10 mins from Shoreditch, is great and wonderful place to be for anyone willing to be inspired by their surrounding.
I was only here for a year due to mental health issues. The counselling was okay but the teaching and everything else was below average. Not how I wanted my first time at uni to go!
I have just finished Londonmet and I honestly wish I could turn back the clock and gone to another university. I do not know where to start as there were so many problems on my course it is hard for me to remember all of the issues I and other students had. The School of social professions is absolutely dire in terms of lecturers/Tutors and how the department is run, students are seen as commodities and an inconvenience all they seem to want is your money and nothing else. The communication was the worst ever, tutors not turning up and not informing students prior to attending their classes. No support, understanding or kindness shown in any format to students who were constantly struggling to understand what was expected of them. The timetable was not fit for purpose in-fact it confused you so much you would be better not even looking at it The marks for finished essays and grades were very unfair and unjust it was like they did not want you to succeed, money paid for a bad degree.
All the university cares about it getting your money and now new and innovative ideas. Do not entertain the possibility of attending this university the lecturers do not care for the students as it is unorganised half the time lecturers turn up late, or the guest lecturers would not even turn up.
Good in general but management needs improvement
No one cares at this place about the students. I can imagine the staff are under pressure from management, to do a million and one things, so caring about their most valuable asset 'the students' falls by the wayside as an afterthought. The level of English spoken by some of the lecturers is shocking, and I can get better conversations out of an uber driver than most of them. Heaven help you if you need to ask a question about your work, most of them think the students are far too beneath them to engage with, let alone offer their time to talk you through something. I am still waiting for YouTube to offer out degrees, for the amount of time I am told 'look up youtube! Look up youtube!!' how about you teach !!! big waste of time and money wish I could pull out and get my money back. Vocation courses from GA would be more informative and career structured. I know that I will need to go there because I want to learn my subject area.

London Metropolitan University is bottom of the rank (131) in 2019. This university still charges the same fees as other top universities in London. LMU University is deliberately requesting staff spread misinformation to students about the finance available to them. London Metropolitan University wants to spread disinformation verbally, so nobody can prove it and they can deny it. If you are not providing finance why not advertise and make it public via your website, unless you have something unlawful to hide. LMU University is more interested in making their bank accounts/ student finance budget look great not helping students in need, after all directors are not going to question extra cash. LMU want to make their bank accounts look bigger, they have finance which they are not giving out, instead requesting students seek other avenues. LMU University state they have poor teaching and students are getting below average grades. LMU states it hopes to get students getting firs
Masters courses there are basically you doing all of the running around for tutorials and precise module specifications. I brought this up, complaining constantly to the people in charge and it got to the point where they ganged up on me, giving me an ultimatum. They care only for money, they don't care about you. They even had the cheek to say that because I got accepted without an interview, that this shouldnt have happened.
London Metropolitan University is awful. The content has grammatical spelling mistakes. London Metropolitan is the worst university in London. The environment is trashy, the teachers can't speak English and have poor communication skills. I only just joined, I would rather work in a fast food restaurant until I can apply for another university. The government should do us all a favor and close this place down. I want a refund, as the goods in this case is misleading. I would be better back at work, in a low paid job or even on Universal Credit.

Terrible... Students are a commodity, zero respect. Academics quit on a monthly basis and you end up being taught by recent graduates desperate for work. Just go somewhere else. Low morale amongst staff, they are being treated badly by management and then forward this frustration to students.
If you are thinking of studying a creative course here...I would HIGHLY advise you to re-think your decisions.
Do not study social work here! The staff are often very unhelpful and are on a power trip. They treat students poorly and unprofessionally. They gang up against students so you feel powerless and that there is no one on your side and there is nothing you can do. Your grievances are not heard. The allocation of placements is often poor. Many students still waiting for placements. No explanations for delays but that you should just wait. It has been an anxious experience for me. Regret choosing to study with this institution. There seems to be no accountability for the staff who work there, many of whom look and act like they don't like working there. Choose at your peril.
Badly run, factory farm environment, stack em high and sell it for profit approach to education. Stampeding encouraged to sign up for courses on first day. No one who works there will know the answer to your queries, Staff are rude and very often seem like they don't want to be there, far too many TA's who struggle with conversing in English teaching full semesters instead of employed staff. It is absolutely a con to go here. It is a money making business, I really regret not doing an apprenticeship or training scheme, I wouldn't have debt and I would be so much further along in my career by now. What a waste of time and money. Stay well clear of this institution, the campus's are in high crime areas and it's definitely not the university experience you get in other parts of the UK.
Being a student at London Met might be challenging at times, but still very rewarding. University has a big focus on student employability and is full assistive staff that genuinely want students to succeed. I managed to get a professional qualification alongside my marketing communications degree, as well as work experience that helped me to graduate with not just an academic knowledge, but also practical experience, that certainly gives positive differentiation once in the job market. It is also worth mentioning that the university is actually improving their facilities and what it has to offer to students, from teaching approaches and student services to events and other activities.
Do not go to this 'university'. This is not a university, this is a travesty.
