Campus is perfect and more new buildings are being built
The internet can be a bit slow other than that top notch uni.
They is a wide range of societies with some really out of the box ideas. Free WiFi in every building of the Uni. I haven't had any interaction with student union or career services none the less I am still aware of their services
This university is really awful. The student union harasses you, where they come into your face to tell you information even though you are clearly trying to just get by without being 'bothered'. This university is not for an A, B or C student - it will offer you no progress. It accepts students that have received DDD at A Level, meaning that the community really does not want to learn. This acceptance scheme or process is unfair for the students that did not achieve the required entry for BU, because it is evident they will not succeed at university level if they could not handle the A level workload. There is no community feel within the departments and teachers teach you where you can reap the effects of the 'contract' you go into with a university- I.O.W the teachers treat the teaching as a delivery of information rather than explanations and .. welll ... teaching. My exams, we were given a textbook and told four of the topics of our examination-I felt no challenge.
Teaching is rubbish and marking very strict. I did my Undergraduate degree at Southampton and it was a much better university with better predictability and the lecturers knew more
Some clubs and societies are really expensive but the students spaces are really good, food is so yummy and not over priced, loads of places to get drinks and bar on site is always handy
Lots of fit girls. Would recommend.
If you are on the Lansdowne Campus you've been robbed and told lies at open day.. I was taken to Talbot Campus thinking I would be there and I sadly aren't.. It's a old rubbish building that's been there for 50+ years.
everything here is so good, there are so many people to help with everything and it’s easy to work out where everything is
Bournemouth University, categorised into two main campuses - Talbot Campus and Lansdowne Campus, located on the southern coast of England, is one of the renowned reputed institutions for the quality of education and opportunities. BU is the first university in the UK to receive a commended status awarded by the Quality Assurance Agency ( QAA) and also bagged the Eco Campus Platinum Award. They have number of clubs, societies, services and events for us to engage throughout the study. The eminent faculties, facilities and aesthetics and the beautiful location - all make it ideal for me and helps me bring out the best in me. Cheers!
