Honestly a great place to live, very safe due to the lock system and they create great offers for food, soup days and more, staff are very nice too :)

I have no complaints about UCLan so far, except for the societies and social aspect side of things is pretty dead. The university was really prompt with helping me when I was hate-crimed and they were really on it in all fairness to them. I like the facilities a lot, Livesey building is a little outdated but the large majority of buildings are pretty accessible and easy to use. The WiFi on campus is perfect to me, I use eduroam. I have heard some others having issues but I personally haven't ran into any of these issues. Wellbeing are helpful if you have evidence for your claimed illnesses and they do put support in place pretty quickly.

Foundry court is a fantastic place to live, the staff are exceptional and are always there to help with any questions. I thoroughly enjoy all of the events that the staff put on, and cannot fault the facilities.

uclan is a great university I would definitely recommend but the wifi in lecture buildings definitely need fixed.

UCLan is an excellent university where the staff members are kind and understand the student's requirements and make sure they solve all their student's issues and make them feel comfortable and feel like they can be themselves at the university. The faculty is caring and understanding and students usually end up making good relationships with their lecturers. The student centre is really helpful for mental health issues where they provide free counselling and they alter the student's course according to their mental health issues and disabilities. The student union acts like your voice and if the students have any ideas for the university, they work on it and they give the students what they want. As a student, I couldn't ask for anything more in a university.

As a first-year medical student, my experience at UCLan has been incredibly positive so far. The teaching facilities are top-notch, equipped with modern technology that supports hands-on learning and interactive sessions, making it an engaging environment to study in. The professors are knowledgeable and approachable, always willing to provide support when needed. One of the best parts about being here is how easy it is to make new friends. Whether it’s through university societies, clubs, or just meeting people on campus, there’s a real sense of community that makes settling in feel effortless. Life in Preston is also quite enjoyable – it’s a friendly city with everything you need as a student. There’s a great balance between the lively student life and the quieter spots for when you need to focus. All in all, it’s been a fantastic start to my journey in medicine at UCLan, and I’m excited for what’s to come!

Cannot recommend this place enough! It’s great for its value of money. It’s right near the university campus so it’s convenient there’s lots of shops/resturaunts/fast food near by so you don’t go without. They are good at communicating and quick as possibly can be with repairs

Having our Preston campus located within the city is so convenient and means that our students don't have to worry about commuting far to campus. The train station is just a 10 minute walk from campus so traveling to and from Preston is super easy. We couldn't agree more about the amount of shops and restaurants right next to campus, the main high street has plenty of well-known stores as well as independent local businesses. There's also lots of cafés and for those who like to go out, plenty of bars and clubs. Wishing you all the best, Sarah

Really good university just finished my 2nd year and I’m really impressed with everything around. So close to town, shops and the campus it’s all within a 15 minute walk. There is no worrying about making my lesson or not at all!!

Standard uni could have some improvements
ok, the city the university is based in is pretty rough and a significant number of my lecturers have been terrible.
I love this accommodation! Nathan and Sophie are super friendly and it’s been much better since they started. I love all the things the accommodation hosts and my room is really spacious! It’s great value for money. The building is also always clean which I really appreciate and things always get fixed very quickly!

Campus is nice, especially in summer time. The majority of the buildings are all close together so it makes it easy to transfer between classes.

A very underrated university with many special features
In general it’s good enough, but tgere are some frustrating aspects
Dedicated lecturers that care about their students, campus that is being constantly improved and a good range of courses. Not being a Russel group uni takes the pressure off the study and I've found it to be overall an enriching and beneficial experience with lots of extra curricular activities popping up in my department.

Interesting lectures and good support system with the personal tutors
Over the three years I have been hear, I am glad to say that the teachers listen to the students about any worries we have. It is an anomaly for me when it comes to teachers from previous education.
