The University gave me a sense of warmth and excitement. The facilities are brilliant and so broad. It is easy to find my way around the uni which makes me feel more at ease.
Plymouth was my first option best decision of my life to choose to go to this uni
Great university, definitely a place to study
Amazing friendly atmosphere with amazing courses and lectures! Truly felt like home away from home!
Very excited to start child nursing in September.
University of Plymouth is so often overlooked but I have settled in so well. Amazing location (city and sea!!), and the university have amazing support networks and facilities. The library, the lecture halls, labs and the SU are all of equal importance to your experience and they’re all welcoming and of Hugh standards. My course (Criminology) is enjoyable and is run by wonderful lecturers, I obviously can’t speak for all courses but I am so happy here. Campus is clean and picturesque, and is in walking distance of everything including accommodation for all year groups. Plymouth itself is friendly with a good night life. I promise you will not be disappointed when you come to UOP.
I was happy with my experience at Plymouth University, the degree was mostly as advertised with broken iPad pledge. Careers service was very helpful. There's societies for any interest. The campus network has poor bandwidth.
Library very clean and open long hours. Other sports facilities are nice. I find there to be a lack in the range of societies, there's a lot that are just course societies. My friends in other universities have quite fun, niche societies that this uni doesn't have. The careers service seems alright, I get a lot of emails about employment fairs and internships but I study a healthcare course so they're not really relevant to me. Eduroam works fine. A lot of people complain its slow or disconnects but not for me. Uni really seems to care alot about students well-being - lot of student support services. My biggest complaint is the fact that you're not supposed to smoke in front of the library (5 meters I believe) but there is always a lot of people smoking right outside. Nothing's ever done about it. The walkway outside the library is the central pathway within the campus so you kind of have to take that path all the time unless you want to make a long detour.
Uni is okay, not much to say. Bog standard. Lots of social events to attend to, all so much fun. Facilities open late so always great to complete work in the evening.
Good place to stuffy if you like a small city.
