Campus is brilliant, everything you need and more! Clubs and society's are free and there's something for everyone! Wifi is decent 95% of the time! IT inform us when wifi is going to go off or Uni sites will be down and how long for!
The university is amazing, has reviewed and been nominated for an abundance of reviews for it's quality of teaching, facilities and importantly; student satisfaction! I wasn't sure about living away to study and had just turned 18 so was very unsettled, but this is a very close-knit and homely uni! You are almost forced to make friends as there are so many similar people around the 'city' is dominated by students! There is a huge focus on students, and tuition fees are well spend and put back into things beneficial ti students like free language courses and stable services and new facilities. Don't be out of by it being in Wales, students from other parts of the UK/ world will not feel left out as the culture is so diverse and the Welsh culture isn't dominant there. Hardly anyone speaks the language and everyone is made welcome!
Not a great deal of facilities. The residential campus is nice and clean. The internet spans the whole of the city but is relatively weak and slow at times. The Students Union is unique in that it hardly even exists. The main university staff are good, staff in my particular school are excellent. There is a wide range of clubs and societies, although they are free to join some require payment to participate (Snow sports for example). There is not a lot to do if you are bored and want to do something, the nightclubs are average but there is a wide range of bars, some of which are a little weird but there are a couple of good ones.
An excellent university that I would recommend to everyone
