Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Positive Experience with Customer Support and Community "It’s been a nice place, and I’ve been living here for the last 1.5 years. The customers are great, and Ramona (Customer Support Assistant) is very helpful. She helps all the students settle down here." Issue with Hot Water "However, there is a big problem with the hot water. It runs out a lot of the time, especially after the fire alarm goes off." Overall Impression "Overall, it’s a great place for students."
The best thing in the accomodation is the manager of the place, romana makes everything easier. The second best thing its in the center and everything is close to it. Almost 3 months living there and its fully safe. One more thing, for those who stay in the 2nd floor. It will be a good lowerbody strength workout
Good place to live as a current student. Ramona (property manager) is incredibly helpful and any issues are solved as quickly as possible.
Glad to be part of this accommodation. it’s amazing!
It was good. My room was spacious and for a reasonable price
As a current student i couldnt ask for a better place!
I’m living there from 1 year nd 5 months and it’s very good experience I have, nd also the property manager it’s really helpful and nice,😊
I moved in last year on short notice after my former friend pulled out of a housing agreement last second without my knowledge, so i was in a bit of a tight spot. I moved in and settled in quite nicely, Ramona (property manager) was influential in this process and has treated me and others wonderfully. The only two qualms that i really have about the place is that it's a tiny bit pricey and the smoke detectors are reaaaaaalllllly sensitive but these qualms didnt stop me from rebooking this year as having an ensuite with everything included was and is a blessing.
A good place to live as a student. Very quiet and clean environment
Good place to live and a friendly environment
There must be kore washing machines and dryers as there is one of each for the whole building. There should be more events held so people in the building do socialize.
