Great campus, great staff, very enjoyable
I like the uni it’s very clean, easy to navigate, the rooms are a good size but do get quite warm. The gym on the llandaff campus is a bit rubbish as most the equipment has been moved to cyncoed campus. Reception are lovely and will help where they can. however neither campus is easy to get to, llandaff is through a forest and by a super busy duel carriageway and cyncoed is up a massive hill. No on site parking so pointless bringing a car.
After studying here for 2 years prior, facilities for my course are amazing (artist designer maker) but last year i learnt nothing during the pandemic. Feels a bit rushed this year but will definitely make the most of all the facilities this year. Great support from mental health team as i suffer from anxiety, could do with more societies as there is nothing that interests me, but i wouldn't move uni's ever as the staff on my course are so welcoming and helpful.
Haven't had the opportunity to experience uni well enough to say anything much due to the pandemic. But all in all its alright
A fantastic university for sport courses and teams; but if you have any form of learning disability be prepared for lack of empathy and support from members of staff, I was made to feel belittled by being told I wasn't 'smart' enough to switch courses due to my learning disability which is dyslexia and slow processing. Complaints to the university were made but completely ignored. Please keep this in mind if you have similar issues with learning. Other than that the university does allow for great opportunity within the sporting team environment with opportunity to play competitively at a high level. Due to the pandemic I have not had any true in person lectures, the way the university handled the pandemic was more in favour of the staff than the students; especially when expected to do lectures and work completely online and the WIFI is shocking and when reported nothing would come of it or it would take months for them to pull their finger out their arse.
I have not been on campus due to the Covid-19 pandemic but I have seen images and did a virtual 360 tour of the campus and it’s facilities. I also have friends who are students at Cardiff Met, and have been there before the pandemic. They speak very highly about the university.
all work has been done online i havent gone into campus yet
Cannot exactly review my first year properly. Was unable to go on campus all year, met some great people in my course and I’m looking forward for the real experience next year!
Great facilities and staff. Good lecture halls, scheduling, and catering.
