At Windsor House, you can roll out of bed and be on campus within a ten-minute walk. The accommodation is in a well-connected part of Queen Street in the centre of Cardiff, meaning you have everything you could possibly need on your doorstep.
During the summer months, you can bask in the outside area and enjoy the sunshine. There is a cosy TV room, cinema, living room, kitchen, study room and gym that you can enjoy with friends. There are also handy facilities and amenities such as bike storage, laundry facilities, WiFi and all-inclusive bills. For added convenience, there is CCTV, a management team, secure key entry and contents insurance.
Students can choose to stay in a trendy self-contained studio or a sociable two-bedroom apartment. Both room options come fully furnished and ready for you to move in.

The receptionist Nadia is certainly the best thing about Windsor House being my accom, but honestly all the staff here are really friendly, and are happy to help you with anything of concern!

My experience has been pleasant, but the only issue I have had so far is that the vacuum cleaner is never available. Which has become very inconvenient for me.

I am a new PhD student at Cardiff University, and I have been looking around for accommodation due to my late entry. I can assure that the receptionist at Windsor is the best, most patient and professional of all the Cardiff student accommodation receptionists I have come across, especially Ash, who always confronted my enquiries with a problem-solving attitude. He is very professional and dedicated and he handled my case skilfully. And Nadia was also very eager to help me. She showed me all the facilities, such as, laundry room, social space, study room, and the yard. I think the staff at Windsor can make the stay better for the residents. The location of Windsor is the best, it is between the school and the city centre, which helped me to save a lot of time. It is very rare to find such a price in the city centre. So I think this is the first choice for all international students in Cardiff. I would recommend this place to everyone. I am grateful to have met Windsor, Ash and his tea
Windsor is an ideal place if you’re looking for an accommodation which is smack in the middle of everything. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Apart from these two things, the accommodation has poor cleaning facilities, it’s always very dirty. The lift is mostly out of order so if you’re living on the top floor, it’s a challenge. Similarly, the machines in the gym are never fixed despite several complaints. In addition to that, it’s also next to the central bar, it gets pretty noisy at night and even worse early morning when the bar staff is literally throwing and dragging metal drums around to clean their space which wakes you up at 6 in the morning if you’re a light sleeper.

Lift has been broken for 5 months and still isn’t fixed yet. Cleanliness in the lifts and hallways have yet to be improved. People also love slamming doors and they are heard everywhere. But strategic location in Cardiff, everything is within a short distance.

The team at Windsor House goes above and beyond to ensure students have all the support that they might need during their stay. I lived at different places whilst completing my degree but this has been my best experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

AMAZING STAFF!!! Truly dedicated to enhancing student experiences - no matter what the issue, personal or study or accommodation related for the first time ever I felt valued in student accommodation. I would personally like to mention Ash, Nadia and Nial as well as Chris from the maintenance team. For personal reasons I had to leave Cardiff ASAP and my situation was really handled with care. Additionally, I was moved to Summit House where my query was dealt with professionally and very quickly! Overall - a real gem is Windsor House

although my time at windsor house has been great, there are definitely some big maintenance issues all the time. took me one year to get my radiator fixed, a whole week to remove bugs off my ceiling the first week i moved in. i ended up sleeping cold and had to remove the bugs myself even though it was not my fault they were there. fixing one issue takes ages. the lift has been not working for days. i think they need a new maintenance team.

The accommodation is okay, great location, comfortable studios and good amenities. I would recommend it. Just be aware that the cleaning of stairwells and hallways is poor (shortage of cleaning staff), the lift never works, there is never a hoover available because students are allowed to keep them in their rooms, forever and no one does anything about it, and staff suggest you contact the local council yourself if you have an issue with noise outside (fine for me but how would an international student know what to do ). Individual staff members are sympathetic and friendly and some try to make you feel at home and there are plenty of events to get to know other students but the management of the building could be so much better.

Lift is out of service for about 30 times a year. Currently still isn’t fixed when its been about 2 weeks since it first went out it of service

Windsor House is conveniently located just outside Cardiff City Centre. It has great amenities including all bills included, a gym and a cinema room. The receptionists are friendly and helpful and any maintenance issues are usually resolved quickly. I would recommend this place for any student to live.

The location is absolutely perfect, right between town and the university buildings. However the social aspect to living in studios isnt really there.

Windsor House is a good accommodation for me as a Chinese student. It is easy to collect package and contains a good gym. also I love the cinema and VIP room. The light in the aisle is always bright. Feel so safe in this accommodation.

please fix the lift asap. sometimes it could be very noisy outside because of the central bar, especially during summer times. Please improve it. Also, sometimes there are fewer social activities compared with other student accommodations, maybe holding more events could do better

The accomodation is located in the heart of the city. Grocery shop is around the building (Sainsbury's and Tesco). Also, it is near the train station witin 5mins walk.

Windsor House is ideally located right in the heart of Cardiff City Centre. The benefits include: easy access to public transport, within walking distance of Uni, fantastic location within easy reach of nightlife, cultural activities (Cardiff Castle, the Museum etc) and some great places to eat and drink (Cardiff Market, St David’s Arcade etc). With plenty of roomy studio flats, it also has a gym, cinema room and communal / study spaces all kitted out with sleek modern designs. The team are great! Friendly and knowledgeable managers with Mial and Ash, great reception staff with Nadia and Steph, and supportive caretakers in Chris and Ben. Over the last two years the whole team have become friends and family making me feel at home and giving me lots of support and encouragement. Really cannot recommend this place highly enough, but the dedicated and hardworking team (who are available 24/7) really is the best selling point if you want something that feels like home!

Excellent staff and very friendly.
Maintenance has never replied to any requests and have not yet fixed anything in the room. More frequent and better cleaning of corridors, laundry and social spaces should be done. Room when first arrived was disgustingly dirty and was not cleaned after the previous tenant and before my arrival and this was confirmed by the cleaner. Maintenance never responded to my request especially for the mould in the bathroom which is unhealthy. Other than this, experience is nice, reception people are lovely especially Nadia.

Very nice experience! However the corridors and the social rooms could be cleaner and maintenance hasn’t replied to my requests when I first arrived!
