Truly loved the space and the people at Quebec House. I never had any issues and if anything broke, they fixed it as soon as humanly possible - sometimes during their own dinners. I have nothing but good things to say.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Truly loved the space and the people at Quebec House. I never had any issues and if anything broke, they fixed it as soon as humanly possible - sometimes during their own dinners. I have nothing but good things to say.
We spent two years at Quebec House and only have good things to say about it. The best thing about the accommodation is its location. Its only a minutes walk to the city center and major supermarkets. Station and bus stops are literally across the road. The studios are perfect to spend the student years in with all the facilities you would need. Rob and the staff is very helpful and goes out of their way to help the tenants and also organizes social events quite often. Overall Québec house is a lovely student accommodation.
Great location, ideal if studying at Kingston, but not worth the price Pros: friendly and responsive management staff, great storage, convenient location, double bed, clean room, no mould or infestations Cons: Fridge didn't work for first few months (food kept going off), microwave/convection oven did not heat food properly (this is a very food poisoning prone place), no ventilation - could not open window fully - room was ALWAYS warm, only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers for the entire building, too expensive for all of these cons
Was a good place to stay, but I have many improvements in mind
The time spent at Quebec house was very comfortable, the management was very kind and friendly and helped me a lot in every way.
The year at Quebec house was very comfortable, the staff were kind and friendly and helped me a lot.
Thank you so much for your kind words. At Quebec House we like to look after all of our residents. Very happy you enjoyed our great facilities this year.
Good, the location is nice and the room is good
Thank you so much for the review. The whole of the Quebec House team wish you all the best for the future. So happy you had a great experience with us.
Great staff. Pablo is genuinely great at looking after us and he makes the living experience much more homely. My room was initially in great condition and all issues were sorted within the same day by maintenance too. I couldn’t recommend it more! The location is ideal too.
Quebec house is an OK place to live. It's right on the heart of Kingston will every amenity you could need within a 10 minute walk from you (postoffice, supermarket, pharmacy, GP) The management of this building is another story. 1st year I had a mouse in my room that took 3 weeks to remove because management do no check the work done by their workers so there was a 4 inch hole in my floor leading to the bin area... The maintenance man is "not trained in plumbing" "not trained in electricals" "not trained for woodwork" so they have to hire out carpenters and engineers everytike the smallest issue occurs. The only thing he can fix is a light... My window recently fell off the hinges which almost killed my husband in the process. Window was changed after nearly a month and no compensation was offered. The cleaners is a lovely, lovely woman with no cleaning skills whatsoever. And "DUE TO COVID-19" all shared spaces have been off limits all year without any compensation.
Quebec House is at the heart of Kingston Town Centre, and only a few seconds walk to the train station, and Tesco. You should absolutely consider Quebec House for its nice rooms. The best thing about Quebec House is its staff; You wont find anybody friendlier and welcoming in all of Kingston! Quebec House is owned by Fresh, which means they host monthly events such as Competitions, Themed Parties, and occasional Freebee Fridays. Two things to watch out for: - Although each student has their own mailbox inside the building, there is no letterbox in the front of the building. This means that packages and parcels often go undelivered or left at the front of the building. - Rooms are generally poorly lit, and the sun does not come through very well through the window (each room only has one window), which can make the rooms feel a little dull. They are my only complaints. If I were to continue being a student, I would stay at Quebec House again, without a doubt.
I have lived in Quebec House from September 2020 to August 2021. I really enjoy the time I lived here. I got almost everything I can imagine in Quebec House. The settings in my room can satisfy my every need! The location of the accommodation is also very convenient (very close to train station, serval supermarkets, and city center). The new manager, Pedro Costa, and another staff, Francesca Annand are very kindly and helpful. They are very glad to help you with everything in your daily life. Trust me, you will definitely love this place when you move in.
Due to covid it’s been very isolating living here perhaps in normal times it would be better.
Warm environment with lots of opportunities to socialise. Good storage in rooms and amazing location. Staff are wonderful, really helpful and friendly.
Most of the service is very good, but sometimes the power goes off when cooking. I hope it can be improved.
Everything is good. The cheapest accommodation in this area.
it a good place to live. Near 3 supermarkets and Kingston sration
I rated the social experience a bit lower because I haven’t been able to participate much due to the pandemic. Though there has been ongoing competitions every month and they’re quite fun as an indirect way of still being able to do something social/for other people. I do find the location extremely helpful especially with the bus to Heathrow being close by stopping a few meters away. It’s very good for international students and students who have to travel a lot. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. They’re very helpful and they always ask how you are doing.
Friendly and helpful management staff. Quick repair team.
very welcoming staff, i think without lockdown it would’ve been a much better experience. in an amazing location. has a lot of stuff to help with lockdown and in general (competitions, challenges, freebie days)
Staff are super friendly. Always helpful. Rooms are nice and spacious. Safe area and friendly residents !! 100% recommend.
It's a great place to live. The location is so comfortable being litreally a minute away from station and bus as well. Other than that the staff is very friendly. Loved having frankie take care of us along with Haris who unfortunately had to leave but it's fun to get to know the new manager as well. Would love it if we could have more social events but we know we have to take covid into consideration as well. Overall love the place am looking forward to living here next year as well!!!!
As it’s my final year and I’m not going to be a student I can’t come back and stay here but if I had another year of being a student I will 100% carry on staying here.
Really good place with multiple facilities and it is one of few places which have a fitted kitchen into each room
It’s a good place to stay and reception staffs are all very friendly .
Amazing staff, really lovely building and the location cannot be better
