The accommodation is a really cozy and quiet place to concentrate on my studies. It is a very great place to walk on the beach and enjoy the beautiful environment.
Living just a stones throw away from Campus made life so much better for going to Class. Even last year, when I stayed here for my third year in a row, and teaching was online, it made life better having a student experience of flatmates in our 'bubble' (as ResLife called it). The Staff in the Accommodation Office were great, helpful and supportive anytime I went to speak to them. Big shout out the night staff, especially Sam and Martin, helped a friend of mine big time one evening and always followed up. I would book here again, even if I had to travel into Belfast Campus due to all this.
Overpriced for the quality of living a cleaner provided seem to avoid work
Extremely overpriced, and staff were useless
you have to pay money towards the student services so they can provide you with activities yet none of that happened. also states on the website that the deposit is refundable, which they don’t refund at the end of your contract. certain members of night staff rude and uncaring towards students. overall bad experience and worth the extra travelling from the city centre.
I got lucky with the people in my block being very social. Many other blocks however are very antisocial and dull. The actual flat has seen better days but the handiness is second to none.
It’s hard to beat living on campus. Living right beside where I study has made university so much more comfortable.
Overall very good but experience
Good WiFi, staff in the dalriada student village were all great - shout out to nighttime security sam and Henry Only thing about Jordanstown is that there is very little things to do around the area - only a few take aways and a bar or 2 a 20 minutes walk down the road
Can be very expensive and in terms of things to do - not very good as you get bored very quickly.
Halls are great place to live. Always warm with plenty of hot water and WiFi to keep you going. And with it being so close to the university, I can pop out of bed 10 minutes before lecture starts and still be there on time.
So bad its not worth talkimg about
There was no wifi upon arriving here. It meant I had to use up my 4G. I mean it's 2017? I felt like the cleaners didn't do enough. I feel like the location is bad because it's boring and there's nothing around the surrounding area. Making friends wasn't hard although my experience wasn't good as I felt like I didn't fit in with the people who lived in the surrounding flats. I found myself feeling lost here. Shop in dalriada halls is very expensive also.
Good to be close to campus. However can be hard to make friends as sometimes not slot of people from your course live there such as sociology. Have to travel into Belfast for the nightlife. Is like a ghost town during the weekend, holidays and exams. But great value for money and is enjoyable when you make friends and gives you the skills to be independent.
Halls are alright but you're so far out from belfast. The nights are really boring as there's nothing to do nearby
