You cannot beat the location of this building for main campus at Queen’s. It’s super helpful to have laundry in my room and to have a dishwasher to stop the accumulation of dishes. It’s also pretty great having the option to have a barbecue. Staff is helpful - and there is always someone around to help you immediately if you’re locked out of your room or there’s an emergency.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
Aster’s security is reckless and horrible. Theres people stealing stuff and given that anybody can walk in and out as they please leaves literally all the students vulnerable. Not having cameras in the hallway is incredibly stupid because this has been recurring especially in my experience in a span of a year alone. Nobody is held accountable and our safety was compromised. Especially the fact that there is no one on guard or 24/7 surveillance.
good place to live, you get a washing machine in the flat but it's quite pricey
Fantastic staff and support, big shoutout to Zoe, Craig and Karly!
Great location, nice facilities
Beautiful place to stay , pricey for the small room size but great location and staff
Amazing location with the most amazing staff out there!
Good place to live. Very ideal location
It’s been nice but it is really depends on the people you’re living with, more than anything else
Very close to everywhere I need to go (work, uni and shops and places for food) and really friendly staff
great building w free coffee and gym
Great facilities, very good location. Occasionally Social spaces can be slightly messy
Excellent service. Clean building and good social events

i’ve enjoyed my experience in aster house especially all the staff
Aster house is a great student accommodation situated in Belfast the main advantages of this accommodation is the fact that it is very very close to queens university it’s less than a 10 minute walk to mostly all departments the student union is super close by and many restaurants and clubs nearby, it is a safe busy area and the fob system used in aster house makes it very reliable and safe during your stay, price point is a bit high but it definitely worth staying if you want an excellent locations and many facilities
Aster House is a lovely accommodation for those wanting a more comfortable and relaxed living environment. The staff are always very helpful too.
The apartments were lovely, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment. The staff members were incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with any concerns or questions. Their warm and approachable demeanor made me feel right at home. Overall, I highly recommend this student accommodation for its excellent facilities and the wonderful support provided by the staff.
Very good and convenient location, really handy to go to university and the city, very well maintained and clean spaces and great management.
Aster house is a wonderful place good people friemdly athmosphere and nice friends
The good environment and perfect facilities, friendly people, quiet and clean and the staffs are very polite and nice they do their work dilligently
Aster house is an amazing property in a great location. Huge thanks to Deepali, Paddy and Craig for being so helpful.
Very nice staff, and great accomodation
Good experience. Very good staff. Helpful Community Assistant.
I have had quite a good experience with Aster.Deepali ,the CA there was very sweet when I needed help. The staff is very helpful.
It had all facilities & amenities at a decent price - would highly recommend anyone to move in 👌🏽
Good location as it is near the campus, however i don’t think staying here is a good value of money. Frequent unnecessary fire alarm at dawn and decent place to live.
Good. Need more flexible and useful app, common room infrastructure and better events
Good and nice people and nice place to stay
Overall it’s good, but could hire a security because at night, there is none and it’s risky to do that
Super, fantastic, mind blowing
It’s been really appreciable work done by management team to make comfortable stay for university students. I am really happy to stay in aster house
I really enjoy leaving here, the rooms are grate and the leaving spaces comfortable.
Not a happy go to place in Belfast
Cozy place. Tbf I don't really go out for social events because I was focused on my thesis but from what I heard the social event's been plenty.
Great location and staff are so lovely and friendly.
I spent a very good time at the aster house, everything was good there.
There are a lot of issues to deal with but can manage for now. Sick roommate’s
Too expensive, poorly built, not worth it. Staff are amazing though. Lock out 25 pound charge is a joke and the company is clearly corrupt. Not happy at all. Love the facilities. Botanic exit and entrance is so unsafe. Love the free coffee and tumble dryers etc. cleaning is irregular and random. People randomly come into our flat unannounced. But staff make it amazing
Good location near to train station, good amenities and social spaces. Staff always helpful with queries.
Great value for money, great amenities and friendly staff
It’s been good overall. The amenities are all upto the mark and well maintained.
every good everynice but sometimes the Sometimes the efficiency is very low
Aster House offers numerous amenities that students would love to have. Things ranging from free laundry to free coffee and breakfast everyday are just some of them. However, Aster House may not for everyone as they start at quite the high price.
The location is good, with a variety of social spaces and entertainment facilities. However, the management needs to be improved such as the supervision of the hygiene of the suites.
Lovely staff, close to university
Excellent location, quiet room environment. The sound insulation effect is good!
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Aster house, so much so that I have arranged to return for an additional year along with my twin sister and a new friend. The staff at Aster house have welcomed me with open arms and have been so fantastic and accommodating during my stay. As a student who has decided to move away from home and travel across the see to attend university, I have deeply appreciated their kindness and patience.
It's pretty good place , close to university and pretty well managed. I'd recommend it !
Lovely rooms, and nice social spaces. The staff are always very accommodating and attend to any needs quickly. It is very well located, close to University. I must say that I feel incredibly safe and enjoy coming home to my space.
