Was living at home with parents, began my degree apprenticeship in the City Centre and thus needed somewhere in the Town asap - contacted the team here at The Edge and Carol was beyond helpful. I was moved in within a week and couldn’t be happier. The staff here are absolutely fantastic as are the facilities would recommend to any student who is looking for a studio in the City Centre. The value for money for what you get here is another plus for those on a stricter budget.

The Edge Biography
Residents at The Edge can roll out of bed and be on campus in no time as Ulster University is a one-minute walk away, Queen's University Belfast is a nine-minute cycle away, and Stranmillis University College is a seventeen-minute cycle away. The accommodation is located near quick and easy transport links, making commuting as easy as can be.
When looking to mingle with your neighbours and flatmates, you can relax in the games area, cinema, private dining room, and garden. During exam time, there is Wi-Fi, a study area, and a meeting room to make use of. You can stay fit and active in the yoga/pilates studio, fitness studio, and gym. To ensure a stress-free stay, there are all-inclusive bills, contents insurance, laundry facilities, and bike storage.
The Edge has numerous modern and comfortable studio rooms to choose from. These rooms are purposefully designed and come equipped with a kitchen, ensuite bathroom, study area, bed, and storage space.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Great experience overall. The staff are helpful and lovely people, I also enjoy the fun events that they hold. Amazing time and great room.
The Edge is a very nice accomodation, with very nice people who work there and are eager to help the students. I like the social spaces as they have lots to offer and are accesible for all the students. My room is good and has everything I need. The only downsides would be that the laundry is far too expensive for students and certain things in my room we’re not fixed/installed properly.

I found Edge an amazing place to continue my journey here. Here is the best place to live in a dreamy accommodation that most of the things is available. I really liked to have my own kitchen in my own space. From my whole heart I found Edge as my own home. The view that I have from my room is fabulous about location here it is the best place and close to the university. The stuff are so friendly and kind I feel like a friend to them. THANK YOU EDGE

The staff and residents are wonderful. Everyone is so friendly and you always get a smile in the corridors. The social areas are great to hang out with your friends and meet new people. The studios are great for having some personal time and have great facilities for your independant living. The manager Carol and our resident student advisor Jas are always very friendly and helpful.
