Residents at Nova couldn’t be in a better location, with Nottingham Trent University less than a minute’s walk away, the University of Nottingham being a short bus ride away, and the city centre right on its doorstep.
On top of its excellent location, Nova also boasts some fantastic amenities, including a party room, games room, cinema room, an on-site gym. Students also benefit from standout services such as a 24/7 concierge, breakfast coffee, and a cold store for when you order groceries online. There’s also regularly scheduled social events to join.
Nova offers a wide range of stylish and fully furnished rooms to choose from. There are ensuite rooms in cluster flats of between 2, 3, 5, and 6 people, with each flat sharing a fully equipped communal kitchen and living space. If you are after more space to yourself there are self-contained studios that give you your own kitchenette, ensuite and living space.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

This accommodation has a high reputation which it does not uphold. The rent is ridiculously high for an accommodation which doesn't make you feel that welcomed or have the right facilities to ensure you have a comfortable stay. The rooms are quite small and some don't have opening windows. The shared spaces are always dirty when you move in, same with the social areas.

so many issues with this ‘luxury’ accomdation firstly the laundry room is like a casino half the time the machines don’t work and have lost over 15 pounds in one wash, never seen a sign ever saying which one works we had issue with a whole in our flat that was leaking moisture from the roof that took 2 weeks to repair There is much more i could write like this, we have almost had a problem with all the electrics in our kitchen our microwave for example was never fixed NOVA- overpriced, small and very very poor service not worth the money at all- not even close

was a pisstake not having water for ages, issues with the appliances, not cleaned properly from previous tenants, not being given a rent reduction or any compensation for issues within the property but were given free energy drinks/desperados for 2 weeks.

The location of Nova is great for Nottingham Trent students, really close to the uni and the city centre. Reception are helpful and are there to assist and are friendly. Social spaces are cleaned and sanitised often. Social spaces have been limited recently but usually when open are good to use. Staff send out emails for social events and online zoom events to get people involved. Wifi is good, have not had many problems with it but takes a while to sign in and set up, also only can have a certain amount of devices. Overall i think the quality for money is a bit pricey, prices have gone up over the past year or so, rooms could do with slight refurbishments for each new year. There has also been problems with heating and hot water but these have currently been resolved.

Fortunately, I chose nova, which is a very good place to live. 🎉It can be reached within 10 minutes on foot when I go shopping. It is also very convenient to go to the campus of the University of Nottingham. There is a bus stop in front of the apartment. The staff are very enthusiastic and responsible. Living here makes me feel safe and warm. I hope I can live happily in Nova in the next year.

I am in a 5 bed flat for 2019/20 and even though they say they will match you up i was put with all 3rd years even though I am a first year. There were maintenance issues I raised within the first week that by October were still only being completed as the site only has one maintenance staff who has little knowledge about anything and actually asked me to phone up a company on my phone to ask them how to fix an issue with my tv and internet in my room. Nearly everything in the social spaces is broken and doesn’t work such as the air hockey table pool table fusball table and photo booth in the party room are all broken. The free printers we are meant to have in the study room still do not work and are awaiting to be fixed so the whole first term we have not been able to use this. No social events have been arranged by the accommodation as stated before booking. I would definitely not recommend Nova especially as they are upping prices by £10pw for next year!

I have living since the start when it was newly developed. The karaoke room doesn’t work at all since a year, staff needs to be more patient with International students. Offer price freeze for students who are going live there for the third year now. No social events this year as well :(

Although I enjoyed my stay, I had a lot of issues with management. For 2 months I was complaining that my door lock wasn’t working and it wasn’t changed, forcing me to leave my door open most of the time with something keeping it open. Additionally My shower and sink were blocked for the better part of the first term and while I continuously was told they’d be fixing it; only when I went off for Christmas did they tell me that it isn’t their responsibility to unblock them. While I do appreciate this and respect it, I would’ve appreciated more if they had told me to begin with so that I didn’t have to wait months for it to be fixed as I did not wan to tamper with it and further cause damage - wasn’t too sure that their diligence was due to the fact that I paid in full and therefor didn’t necessarily care to takes care of the issues I had. That being said The social spaces are very well maintained and I really did love the room I was staying in for both the years.
