What tenancy length do I need?

What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

To begin with, I found it to be a welcoming and calm place, which is perfect for studying. The staff was attentive to my needs and concerns, and they addressed them promptly. Although it can be challenging when you first check in, especially when carrying your belongings into the room or after shopping, you will adapt to it with time. You also have to pay to use the washing machine, but all instructions are given in the washing room. However, the application for washing machines disturbs Android phones, which I hope will be addressed soonest. The space in a studio room is considerably spacious compared to other university rooms, and having a kitchen and study table in one place is perfect for privacy. The neighbors are friendly and busy students like you, and the accommodation is close to various universities and shops, making it convenient for students. Overall, I am having a good experience and would recommend it to students who prefer privacy, calm places, and independent living.

Radford Mill is an amazing student accommodation that I would highly recommend to anyone. The rooms are modern and well-equipped with all the amenities you need to feel at home. The building is always kept clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly and approachable. The location is also perfect, with easy access to the university and the city centre. There are plenty of social spaces to hang out with friends, and the events and activities organised by the accommodation team are always fun and engaging. Amazing facilities and gym services too.
Radford Mill is overpriced, mainly targeted to international students who will pay the extra money for accommodation. There are social spaces such as a cinema room and games room, but no one really uses it to socialise so don't expect to come and easily make friends as everyone is quite reserved. But the apartments and studios are nice and have a very mature, homely feel to them. Security are 24/7 which is really good in case you get locked out or any other issues. For the price that they request, I feel as though all studios or apartments should be equipped with a microwave and TV. Good location directly in-between NTU and UoN.
