Radford Mill Biography
At Radford Mill, you don’t have to worry about ever being late for class as the University of Nottingham is a mere five-minute walk away and a fifteen-minute walk from Nottingham Trent University. Everything you need is just a stone's throw away, as the city centre is only a fifteen-minute walk from the property.
After a long day of class, you can relax in the cinema room, lounge and courtyard or challenge your friends in the games area. Residents' events are hosted throughout the year which are a great way to meet your neighbours. To ensure your stay is as convenient as possible, there is a gym, study room, Wi-Fi and broadband. You can have peace of mind knowing there is an on-site residents’ team, all-inclusive bills and CCTV.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?

Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Radford mill is over all a good property and I would recommend it to others but the broadband is an issue the wi-fi service doesn't work well at nights

It's a perfect accommodation for freshers and old students alike. A variety of options from studios to townhouses so you can move in alone or with a bunch of mates. The common amenities are really well maintained!

The location of the accommodation is very convenient. Just a short walk to my uni campus and also not far from the city centre. A bus stop just outside the property and a supermarket directly opposite. I can’t recommend Radford Mill enough. It’s literally the best. They are also quick to respond to maintenance issues. I’ve once submitted a maintenance request a night before and i got it repaired the following morning. They care about the tenants.

The rent that we are paying is too high considering the fact that we have to pay for other services like laundry and drier seperately and the prices are pretty high. The social spaces are nice, play games with your friends. The maintenance is a bit slow, for any of your complaints to get resolved , it takes 15-20 days and sometimes they even forget about your problems and you have to raise a request again which makes the process more time consuming.

To begin with, I found it to be a welcoming and calm place, which is perfect for studying. The staff was attentive to my needs and concerns, and they addressed them promptly. Although it can be challenging when you first check in, especially when carrying your belongings into the room or after shopping, you will adapt to it with time. You also have to pay to use the washing machine, but all instructions are given in the washing room. However, the application for washing machines disturbs Android phones, which I hope will be addressed soonest. The space in a studio room is considerably spacious compared to other university rooms, and having a kitchen and study table in one place is perfect for privacy. The neighbors are friendly and busy students like you, and the accommodation is close to various universities and shops, making it convenient for students. Overall, I am having a good experience and would recommend it to students who prefer privacy, calm places, and independent living.

Radford Mill is an amazing student accommodation that I would highly recommend to anyone. The rooms are modern and well-equipped with all the amenities you need to feel at home. Amazing facilities and gym services too.
Radford Mill is overpriced, mainly targeted to international students who will pay the extra money for accommodation. There are social spaces such as a cinema room and games room, but no one really uses it to socialise so don't expect to come and easily make friends as everyone is quite reserved. But the apartments and studios are nice and have a very mature, homely feel to them. Security are 24/7 which is really good in case you get locked out or any other issues. For the price that they request, I feel as though all studios or apartments should be equipped with a microwave and TV. Good location directly in-between NTU and UoN.
