While it was a nice accommodation, in my experience it was unsociable and hard to meet people.
The aesthetic of the accommodation is good considering the cheep rent, but there have been many faults with the appliances since the very start of our stay, including freezer, extractors and washing machines that did not function. That said the accommodation’s app allows you to request maintenance which has been quite speedy to respond. My biggest complaint would be that they didn’t even clean the flats before our arrival. Conversely, the common area is pleasant with a games room and cinema room, they also host small events here often.
Got help from the accommodation team when I first arrived and it was so much easier to move in.
I reached here around 4am and it was freezing outside. Special thanks to kobby and John for helping me with smooth checkin and luggage, they are very professional and wish them all the best!!

I would like to share my experience with this accommodation, Curzon House. It is one of the best places to stay in Nottingham specially for international students cuz the place is well established and equipped with different facilities; common room, study room and cinema room as well. For the room I stayed in it was perfectly clean, comfortable and well furnished. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. On the management side, I would like to thank all the staff members who helped me book and stay here specially Asmaa, she’s one of the most supportive and helpful person I ever met. She’s not only friendly but highly skilled as well. Every-time I show up to the reception and address any issue I have, she helps me solve it instantly with a professional approach. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone who wants a place to stay in cuz their service level is really top-notch, and beyond that its the detail that make the difference. Thank you Asmaa, and thank you Curzon House.

My experience in curzon house has been great during my first year at university. The location is ideal as everything is only a 5-10 minutes max walk away. The students aren’t too noisy however, if there’s ever an issue that is reported it does get resolved in timely fashion. The staff are absolutely great from friendly to entertainers. A honourable mention for Connor who always has looked out for me during my time here at curzon house so far especially when I needed my accommodation sorting for my 24/25 stay.

Value for money for any first year student. Top location whereby you don’t have to spent much on transportation. Bus station, train station, walking distance ti main shopping district, n to NTU along with many parks for walks.

When I lost my room key late at night, he quickly coordinated to get me a replacement, making the situation stress-free. His calm demeanor and consistent presence make residents feel safe. I appreciate the hospitality, from the Curzon staff especially Uncle Kobe he’s a sweet man.Every time I have a serious issue they always quick with it. The WiFi is really Good and the chicken is the perfect size.
I found curzon house to be a very comfortable and convenient as it is centrally located and has very affordable rooms in comparison to other accommodations. I have loved having a tv included as it meant that me and my flatmates could become good friends and encouraged us to hang out more and be social. The staff at curzon house were also very helpful and friendly meaning going to the office for help was always a good experience.

After two years at Unite Student, Curzon House feels like a second home. It's been an incredible experience, offering unparalleled comfort. Please do stay here if you have the patience to deal with staff members when they unexpectedly blame you for any major maintenance issue. The lift did not work almost for like 4-5 months. Building is of 8 floors.When we asked about it we were told its not mentioned specific in the your agreement. We have literally climbed 8 floors almost daily. If its Friday and u have a problem with any maintenance, you better wait for 2 days more and cope up with the problem because its WEEKEND.

Today, I was stressed about booking my accommodation, worried that the rooms might sell out before I could reserve one. I went down to the reception and met Asma, the kindest lady who helped calm my nerves. Despite being close to the end of her shift, she took the time to ensure I was comfortable with my room choice. Cheapest rent in Nottingham for a room with an en-suite, however the courtyard is extremely loud at all hours if your room is facing inwards. There is also a fair amount of anti-social behaivour.

I stayed at Curzon House during my first year of Uni studying at NTU. Whilst I had issues with my room during the first month that were quite serious, the staff made a huge effort to fix the problems and were promptly fixed. I was offered a new room but chose to stay in my current one until it was fixed. Connor, Jack, Maddie and Liam are all really nice staff that always help, it never takes more than a few minutes to get your parcel from the safe area in reception. Madge and the cleaning/ maintenance staff are always really friendly and make it feel like a home rather than an accommodation. Both Madge and Connor went to extra effort when we had freezer problems that involved needing old food disposed of. There’s always freebies going on too, like free breakfast or free fruit. Can’t go wrong with something if it’s free.

Curzon is a diverse and affordable accommodation conveniently close to uni & the city centre. Kobby has be exceptional throughout my stay :) checked up on me and made sure I was okay after an unpleasant situation. Connor has also been really helpful during my tenancy takeover and is eager to make improvements to better the experience of students. Jess is new but very welcoming and helpful! THANK YOU GUYS!

This is the worst accommodation you might want to come to, the reception here will keep on stalling for the time and will never give you a good solution for your problem. Also once you come over here you have to raise a complaint for each and everything then only it might work for sometime. It's not unite's responsibility that things or the amenities work, it will be your responsibility to get things from them in the working condition. Also, there is a puddle in front of the gate so every time it rains you will be splashed by the cars with the dirty water, their washing machine does not work properly, and the lift has been broken for months. So in the end they will promise you that they will keep you safe and will take care of everything but they will play with your mental health and well being is just a far away dream over here. So you shouldn't even think of booking here.

Overall a great accommodation, location is good you have supermarket which near to the home Lidl, Tesco and local shop are present. All the facilities in the accommodation are okay but could be much better. The best thing is maintenance they come pretty fast to solve any problems you have in the accommodation.

the location of the property does not feel safe at all! the staff come in and write notes about how 'a pan hasn't been cleaned' and 'the floor needing to be hoovered' but don't give us a working hoover and it's our own living space. it is not a social accommodation at all! i would definitely not recommend living here if you can help it.

Sometimes the hot water from either the bathroom sink or the kitchen tap does not work for some reason and it happens for the whole flat

Was a great place to stay for my first year, although COVID shortened it so I didn’t get to experience a whole year there
Very dirty when I moved in, especially the bathroom. Had mould on the taps and mould on the shower head. Every single door slams and they slam very loudly. You can even hear the doors from the ground floor slamming, which make me jump out of my sleep at times. Radiator doesn’t work. Didn’t have hot water for a long time. Bathroom stinks of sewer anytime I use the sink or the shower. Walls are so thin I can hear my flatmates phone conversations from across the hall. The building and the rooms themselves aren‘t visually pleasing, quite grimy looking. The bedroom only has one light which is not so bright at all, placed on a wall, not even the ceiling, and a small additional mirror light. So it’s quite dark over at the desk area because the light doesn’t reach there. I could go on forever but these are my main complaints. Would never recommend.
Adding TVs to social spaces would drastically increase the quality of the social spaces, don't even need a TV license, just a screen. A study room I am sure would be very much appreciated by students as well. Maintenance is excellent and so is customer service. I noticed when I first moved in, some of the staff at the reception were students and very stuck up, but they quickly disappeared and were replaced. Would definitely recommend this place.
Lovely accomodation nearby uni, good location in town centre
Well priced for the area. Only a 10-12 min walk to the uni with Aldi and the Victoria Centre just up the road. Socially, it’s always a roll of the dice as to who ends up in your flat so it can go either way but as far as i’m aware the staff are very good at ensuring everyone is happy with their flat. You have to clean your own flat but that’s fairly standard. Walls are a bit on the lighter side so on some of the bigger nights, if you’re staying in i’d put your headphones in. It is University after all so anyone expecting a tranquil haven of silence maybe looking at the wrong place. In summary; Good Location Fairly Priced Extremely helpful staff

It's true in life you get what you pay for. Utterly useless staff that will lead you in circles and a horrible year in Nottingham to say the least. Do not stay here. My locked-up bike got stolen from inside the courtyard (no CCTV evidence), I was assaulted in the courtyard (no CCTV evidence), and further to this the area is generally to be avoided, with a shooting just 1 minute down the road earlier this year. Do not stay here.

Stayed at Vicky Hall last year, it was great. Great value for money. Amazing fresher reps, making the freshers week absolutely outstanding. Great, big rooms. Only downsides are that there's no cleaners and the internet is only free for 2 devices. Other than that - great uni halls experience. Private Sector is just as good as uni-owned halls!
