Very social Accommodation. I would highly recommend it, the only problem is that the beds are quite small

Hi, we would suggest you get non fitted sheets for either a single or double size. A single size duvet should also be fine.

Byron was modern, comfortable, and felt like a home away from home, all while being in a fantastic on-campus location. The staff were incredibly helpful, and I always felt safe living there. While it was on the pricier side, the convenience and quality of the location made it well worth the cost.
That's great news! We're pleased you made the right choice to suit your needs. Thanks for taking time to leave feedback, we really appreciate it.
The cleaners are great at emptying the bins but how clean the social spaces are honestly depends on your flat mates. The accommodation is quite expensive but the location is literally less than a five minute walk to all of the campus buildings when studying in the city.
Thank you for taking time out to leave your review. We take all feedback onboard to try and improve services offered on site.
Had a good experience with my accommodation. It helped me with transitioning to student life and met some great people. However, there should be more social spaces within the accommodation.
It’s truly rewarding to hear you had a positive experience at Byron and enjoyed your stay! Thank you for leaving your review.
No common rooms in Byron Accommodation. Great security- 24hr reception, locked gates
Safety is paramount at our properties! We're pleased you enjoyed your stay at Byron.
Byron Residence is an expensive property with a complicated mix of pros and cons. It's pretty much as close as you can get to city campus, a short walk to Victoria Centre and Arboretum, next to a tram stop and above the student union. For most of the year, noise hasn't been overly bothersome despite being at the heart of student living. My room has been nice enough with a single bed, ensuite bathroom, desk and cupboard. The kitchen is surprisingly big with two ovens/fridges/freezers/stovetops/sinks and plenty of cupboards, overlooking the centre of city campus. Reasonably priced laundry room is a short walk away at the reception. The wifi has always been working well and cleaners visit weekly. In general, it's a pretty decent place to live. However... numerous issues spring to mind despite the pros. There were a couple of incidents of the fridges/freezers thawing. The door handle to the building was missing for months. Construction was extremely loud for the latter half of the year.
The best uni ran accom that you can go for at NTU. In the city centre and you have the tram on your doorstep which is great if you're new to the city. Highly recommend, I met all my uni friends in this accom as the flats and so big, clean and social.
Great location right next to the university and student union. Really clean and modern. Good size flats to make lots of friends!
Was a very sociable accommodation and easy to meet people. Was very nice and clean, however rooms and beds were a bit small for the price.
Very social Accommodation. I would highly recommend it, the only problem is that the beds are quite small
Good Wifi but it felt that I was paying a lot for a small room and no added amenities that I could for free. A social space would be nice but we are in the centre of campus so other social spaces are super close.
Byron was a great choice of accommodation to enter my uni experience into. It has all the amenities one would need, big kitchen and social spaces, and was cleaned weekly. The bedrooms are slightly small, but very modern and have everything a student will need. Also perfect location, 2 minute walk to university.
it was a decent place to live but the lift didnt work for a while
Byron was amazing, large single bed opposite the library in the centre. My room was discounted as it was above SU so it got very noisy on certain night but it wasn’t an issue if I was out as well
Fantastic location, great for clubs and events. However, the sound insulation is extremely minimal and you will hear noise from above and below. I would only recommend this accommodation to people who plan on going out very often, due to the noise and lack of study/quiet social spaces.
Very modern, clean, friendly staff with good security and located perfectly with all the biggest clubs within a 10 minute walking radius.
Byron was my first year halls, it was great and very convenient. It is definitely worth the money, however unlike other accommodations it is not the most social and you only tend to meet those on your floor (your flat and one other).
Socially fun, on the doorstep of everything. Has everything you could want and there’s a great deal of helpers and management if you need it
Bit expensive but if you’re in any flat in block b (at least) with an even number, you’ll have a very large kitchen
My flat mates could be better but apart from that the court yard is great
Great Hall for socialising and in such a good location with university right on your door and the SU directly below you
Byron is insanely good to live in, even though it is a bit pricey
Best location for the whole university experience
Amazing. The halls were brialiung we had cleaners
DO NOT LIVE IN B BLOCK IF YOU EVER PLAN ON SLEEPING. there are events wednesday, thursday, friday and saturday which means you can only sleep after 3am on those days its so loud so definetly avoid b block, not worth the small discount for proper sleep
I’ve had so much fun here and met my friends for oife
Do not spend your money on Byron, it’s not worth it and your halls will end up looking dreadful no matter how much you spend. Students are animals! We had eggs on the ceilings and beer, butter, milk etc all over the floor. Not cool.
Great gym access and the reception staff are lovely and so helpful, the cleanliness is incredible and it’s been social and exciting
tge location is perfect for both the uni and town
the best thing about byron is how close it is to uni and uni facilities. It’s really modern and the rooms are a decent size. The beds longer than your normal single so it’s hard to get a cover to fit! the wet room is quite small but it’s bearable. the noise from the su directly below isn’t that bad at all! there’s only really noise on wednesday, saturday and the occasional friday night. don’t let freshers put you off because it’s really not as loud as it is then! staff are really nice and manager mike is lovely! they left us chocolates when they gave us new sofas for being patient! any problems are dealt with quickly but they don’t say when they’ve been so if your problem isn’t as obvious like a broken oven then it’s hard to know if it’s been fixed as theres no evidence that staff have been. i’ve teally enjoyed living in byron and i don’t go clubbing all that often or anything but i’ve still enjoyed living here! the kitchen is big enough for 6 people but can get slightly crowded.
Not as noisy as expected! Amazing rooms and interior, though think some of the furniture is cheap and easy to break! Cleaning lady refuses to clean if its not clean?!
Great place to stay, really sociable and interactive between flats but no common room.
Very good accommodation. Could be more sociable but the flats are kept clean and is the best location on campus. Perfect.
amazing year, amazing location, amazing people
Modern but overly priced... also till the end of july? who is staying till then. AND cleaners don't do their job. My flat mates never cleaned up after themselves and then the cleaner didn't even clean the sides/tables/floor...
The bathrooms/ wet rooms are Tiny. The noise from the su is awful, I'm kept up to all hrs even during exam times . The whole building is designed badly. The price us far far to much, go with one Of the private halls. It is vastly overpriced and overhyped for what is a substandard hall of residence. Due to its price I have struggled all year with no money.
Best halls if you want a great social experience. The rooms are lovely, modern, small but what you expect for uni with your own en-suite. Very social halls with something always happening allowing u to meet great people. Very safe halls as well with security monitoring everything 24:7 however not strict so still allowed parties.
Great until you want to get work done or revise, at which point you're battling the wifi all day and the noise all night, almost impossible to get to sleep on a wednessday because of ocean. Basically a noisy version of GSS.
Very social halls, helpful staff
My flat was too small (4) and meant that flat don't socialise and have had to make other friends else where
It is so good. Can't think of anything better. Would recommend to another
Very rude cleaner - their job to clean and they don't need to make comments if it's messy. I wasn't even at uni for that weekend and I got a mouthful. You have to be really social to live here as it's always busy!
Great location, always felt safe. Rooms and flats were lovely and modern. Unfortunately Student Union noise problem was a huge issue on a Saturday night, as was the lack of enforcement on drug issues within the halls. I wouldn't pick to live here if you prefer a quiet atmosphere.
yeah wow boy solid bare decent ting
lived here as a fresher, it was in the middle of everything, noisy at times and very expensive but perfect if studying in the city
Lovely accommodation, but SO expensive, you can get better value for money in private halls like IQ
It's a great halls of residence, however, the people that tend to live here are quite rude. Although they are the sort of people who tend to be going out all the time which may be what you're looking for, there is a big 'lad' culture here. I'd suggest if that's not the type of person you are, then live in Gill street South or Gill street. Personally I wish I had chosen Sandy which is right next door but with a much better atmosphere.
Extremely social based, always a good atmosphere
