Sutton Bonington has great local transport links, connecting students with the Sutton Bonington Campus for free. There are free buses to the University of Nottingham's Park Campus, and consistent links to the city. Nottingham Trent University students studying at Clifton campus can take advantage of the free hopper bus, taking just 15 minutes. Students studying in the city centre, please be advised that this would require two free hopper buses and would take between 40 - 50 minutes in total. Loughborough University students studying at the main campus can use the Skylink bus service which takes 27 minutes.
This is making Bonington's location rural but connected so that you can enjoy the best of student nightlife as well.

Hi, thank you for your query. Regarding room decoration, we do not allow any sort of wall painting or decorations to be added. We would advise ensuring that your room looks just as it does when you start your tenancy with us to avoid any potential damage charges being deducted from your deposit.

The village is really nice but the location is the main thing that takes away from it being any better. To get to main campus it can take around 40 mins and the same when you get the tram into the city making joining societies and going on nights out awkward and time consuming. Other than that the accommodation has a homely feel, the other residents are nice and so are all the staff which are quick to help if you have any problems.

All members of staff are so friendly and really helpful, they clearly put a lot of effort into making a pleasant experience for living here with social events etc. Maintenance staff are also really nice and come out quickly for repairs etc. When our fridge was broken Harley came out to our flat to have a look and was both friendly and helpful. The living space in general is good size and I’d say fairly modern and not dull like some accommodations are at other universities.

Loads of social events to meet others on campus (and free food!). Great location for lectures on Sutton Bonington campus and to get into the city via the hopper bus service. Spacious rooms with lots of storage available.

A remote campus with easy connections to either main campus or Clifton South P+R. Accomodation is good quality, had little to no maintenance issues, staff are extremely friendly! I would highly recommend it to people looking to stay at Sutton Bonington campus.

I think that the accomodation/campus here is quite cozy and compact however it is very far from everything else, including a full sized grocery store. It also has very limited access to other parts of nottingham (only the hopper bus is available) and transport is kind of a hassle.

I've lived in this Student Village for 2 years now and I would highly recommend. It's great facilities, the rooms are spacious and I love the events that CLV put on for residents. Overall it is great value for money

I lived on campus for first year and have come back for 3rd year. Nothing beats the location and practicality of living here. I enjoy the peace, the space and the fact we have a great support team both within the CLV team and the University ResX. The ease of not having to manage bills and any issues are have always been sorted the same day or week if a bigger job.

Lived here for first year as well as my final year; over time I have grown to love the serene atmosphere. CLV has always been super prompt when responding to any issues that I have had within the flat. Rooms are a good size, ensuites are modern and kitchen is fairly spacious- perfect for socialising. I have lived at the CLV SB for 3 years it will be 4 years next year. I wouldn't choose anywhere else to stay. I love the community feeling, the amazing, friendly, approachable staff that are there if you need anything they will try and support you the best the can. I really cannot fault the staff at all they have been amazing and always there for a good chat. The bills are all included in a overall good price which cannot be guaranteed in a private house. Maintenance is always completed quickly and regular checks are done so no need to worry about how long you will have to go without something being fixed. All the social areas are kept clean weekly meaning all you have to think about is keeping your room and kitchen tidy. There are often events running throughout the year which are fun to get involved in and help make new friends. Also being able to live on campus means you have access to everything you need while studying such as the library and student services.

Having decided to remain here on campus in CLV accommodation for 3 years now I would definitely say that I would recommend it to anyone considering. Management is on the ball with evey enquiry. The rooms are spacious and with the exception of some flats have lovely views. The campus is very accessible and sk convenient. I cannot fault the team at CLV

It's very hot in the flat and the windows don't open enough (but do in some rooms). The kitchen layout isn't great and there's not enough room for 6 people to cook at the same time in the kitchen (also gets way too hot). Tap doesn't go cold enough but goes very hot.

Good value for money, layout in the kitchen could be improved tho - if someone is leaving/entering the kitchen the fridge door can’t be opened as people will need to squish into the fridge for it to open at the same time.

Good, 36 week option is Amazing! However, it is so hot and window needs to open way more...also hot water splats out. Team fixes problems good quick. Also post notifications need improving got notifcation 2 days after it had arrived!!

Location is very pretty but trying to get anywhere is a nightmare without a car. The campus shop is tiny and opening hours are ridiculously short. It is also impossible to get healthy foods at the shop, everything is ready meals and it has nothing for dietary requirements like gluten intolerance. Social events are tiny and have no funding, so few people go. For example, the last res ex event was terrarium making and they had 10 jars for the entire campus so turned away many people from the activity. The gym is tiny and the same price for a David Ross sports membership for half the facilities and societies. Internet is very unreliable and usually drops completely at about half 10. Rooms are not clean, our kitchen has ants and we have only just moved in.

The location stands out in terms of convenience and accessibility. It is a serene environment, and I barely walk for 5 minutes to my department and to the coaches' station.

Never go here if you plan to study at Clifton and especially not in the city. It was a nightmare

Perfect for first year, would have liked a big common room for anyone to use
I was here for my Master's degree. I love the quiet and fresh air this place brings. Silent enough to study (if you keep your windows closed, we're near the airport after all). The standard ensuite room was quite spacious for me to store my things and the room was clean when I moved in but with bits missing and defaced here and there. Management team fixes things very quickly too and they're good at receiving mails. However, for the price paid, no cleaning team cleans the kitchen at all regularly. The kitchen was apalling for the first 9 months of staying here. It took only 2 people to ruin the whole kitchen with rotten food and flies. It would be impossible to get anyone to clean as they go or regularly in a flat of 5. Your privacy is nonexistence and the least of their concern. During room checks, they do not update empty rooms and filled rooms. And sometimes they do not knock. I have never felt so violated when they opened my room door AND bathroom door when i was showering naked
I really would not recommend coming to this campus; you will 100% not have a true university experience. I am a master's student, and spent my undergraduate at another university, and this campus is appalling. It is no exaggeration when people say it is in the middle of nowhere - because it really is. It's extremely isolating and nothing really in walking distance so social life is pretty poor. The 'bar' is a joke and the shop is only designed for unhealthy snacks and overpriced sandwiches. In terms of the halls, it is SO OVER PRICED. Location is shocking and you won't have a life at all. Cleaning is okay if you have a shared bathroom. We have no social or common space in this hall. Social experience - none existent. Internet is useless when everyone is on campus. Honestly, don't come here.
Nice accommodation in a lovely setting, but is very far away from anywhere! There is a shop on campus that does stock a good variety of essentials, but prices are slightly higher than I would want to pay all the time. You do have to rely on online deliveries. Common room is great but ideally there would be more! There are only 2! Wifi is a bit rubbish but there is always work going on to try and fix it so hopefully this will improve. When going for the part-catered option, the food is fine and there is always 4 meals to choose from each night so good options - however it isn't anything spectacular. Also watch out for the consistency of the custard - i learnt the hard way that it's a bad move to pour it straight all over your pudding before finding out it tastes like water :s There is a nice community feel on campus though, it's a nice place to be.
