My experience at unity Square so far has been really positive. The team at reception are always happy to help. The location feels very safe- I regularly have to walk to/from uni (LJMU) in the dark during the winter months and it’s lit up and busy the whole way. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the shared living area is the biggest and best equipped that I’ve seen having compared with other uni friends.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

I've enjoyed living here and will live here for the rest of my course as the only issues I've had is with the WiFi.
Worth the money for the environment and the design of the building. I’ve made plenty of friends in this building. Everything I need is very accessible. Only issue I’ve had is wifi being unreliable.
I have stayed here as a 1st year and will be stay here again next as it close to campus, all shops close and the town centre isn't too far. The accommodation is also really good, good size rooms and bath rooms. Definitely recommend.
Overall very friendly staff, kind and willing to help with any issues. Lovely rooms with own bathroom.
really modern and pleasant accommodation
Unity square is an excellent accommodation, located in a convenient area of Liverpool for students. The building is clean, quiet, and overall great for a student.

Had a fantastic first year here, would recommend to anyone!
Really worth the money, with lovely and supportive staff in Reception. I am a first year student and decided to stay on second year.
Generally a good experience at the accommodation. Staying next year too, however have had a constant issue with the internet since moving in. I am the furthest room away from the kitchen where the router is, so my connection isn’t that good. However on top of that, this makes it unable for me to do a lot of things like playing games online as my ethernet connection does not work. However apart from this one little issue I think that it is generally a good accommodation. Good price and good location with a very spacious kitchen being the best addition in my opinion. When we’ve had issues with our ovens, they were fixed right away. Most of the staff on reception are lovely and friendly.
Overall a good accommodation, I’m staying here for second year aswell because for the price, what you get is really good. Kitchens are amazing and very big and the rooms are a good size with nice bathrooms.
My experience at Unity Square has been a wonderful time this first year, the rooms are nice, the beds are comfy and the common areas are spacious as well as comfy, The only thing that would make it better is a large room for all apartments to go to with pool tables and such. one of the greatest aspects of living here at Unity Square is the helpful and friendly staff always willing to chat and help out. The internet is outstanding, the room has an ethernet port and I've managed download speeds of up to 800mb/s at night or 400mb/s in the morning.
I would definitely recommend unity square for anyone looking for uni accommodation in Liverpool. They have friendly staff on 24/7 and security at night. The rooms are some of the nicest and biggest I’ve seen of all the accommodations in Liverpool, and there’s also a massive kitchen/living space in each flat .
staying at unity square has made my uni experience exceptionally better, the room size is decent, we get our own tv, the bathroom and showers are great. Our kitchen and living room is quite big, if there’s ever any problems Lou and Matt are always quick to sort them out! would recommend staying here
I've loved living here for the past 2 years and I'm looking to spend the rest of my course here.
I loved staying here so much I have booked it for next year 😁 it is so close to the supermarket and my university buildings are a short walk away. All reception and security staff are really lovely and helpful. All round great accommodation to stay in and good value for money.
In terms of social experience, the kitchens are great but there is nowhere to be social with other flat members which would be good. The cleaning is great and so is the overall location.
Very nice rooms and kitchens too
Very good location, very safe and great rooms. However no social areas but that is known on the website.
I recommended Unity square to students who are looking for an accommodation that has good cleanliness and comfort. If so then unity square is for you
The experience here as a first year student has been fantastic. the facilities and staff are excellent and will attend to any request or need that you have inside and outside of the accommodation. They are very helpful and the general atmosphere is pleasant and nice to be around.
Management only care about your money, throughout your time here you’ll be sent countless emails threatening fines for full bins and other inadmissible issues. Cleaners do nothing and the WiFi is always broken
Hi There, we're sorry you felt this way during your stay. We undertsand your frustrations regarding the emails, However, we do only ever send emails regarding the rubbish when the cleaners of the building raise them as a complaint. As the studnet it is your duty to empty the bins and remove the rubbish to the bin store, we ask the cleaners to mop and wipe down the surfaces as a gesture of goodwill to yourselves. Please note they are not employed to do this. All our wifi is ran through Glide, as the tenant you are responsible for the setting up of your account and reporting any issues. If you inform us of any problems we will send the email to glide for you, but they do ask for your account details so we just ask that you contact them so you get the better responses. Again we apoligise for your inconvince and will take your feedback onboard.
Everything is sweet and good value for money over the campus accommodations, just lacking social spaces
Hey! Thanks for the feedback! We have taken a note of this and are coming up with many more plans and ideas to utalise the sapce more, these include, movie nights, game nights and even parties in the courtyard!
Overpriced and some furniture is cheap.. noisy
Hey there, sorry we didnt meet your expectations! We have taken a note of these issues and are always looking to better devlop ourselves!
